Game Thread: Knicks at Magic

by Tommy Dee on April 9th, 2010 at 6:24 pm

If there’s one team in the NBA the Knicks have an impossible matchup with (okay maybe every team), it’s the Orlando Magic with Dwight Howard. The Magic are cruising having won 16 of their last 19 and are primed to make another run deep into the playoffs. If they are as good as the Cavaliers, whom they are 1-2 against is anyone’s guess.

The Magic have handled the Knicks in their two previous battles, and there is little to make one believe that won’t be the case tonight in Disneyland.

  • DVJ

The Magic will beat the Cavs again this year.

  • DVJ

    In 6

  • HaS

The Cavs will beat the Magic this year.

    In 6.

  • x-man

Not with Vince Carter on the team. Vince carter is a proven playoff killer! I can see him now shooting a 3 when the game is on the line and they are only down by 2 at home with Superman free underneath. Vince Carter = T-Mac= Forget about moving forward in the playoffs with either one of them or both!

  • Boots

Is any body else having trouble getting a stream? All three sites on my list are “off-line.”

Any suggestions or links would be appreciated. TIA.

  • Mucha

    Try channelsurfing.

  • Mucha

    My prediction : Cavs-Mavs

  • LB2NYplz

    MATCH UP OF THE NIGHT

    EARL BARRON VS DWIGHT HOWARD
    this could be interesting

I will post the head to head stats soon

  • x-man

    Yep, Superman vs Blankman!

  • HaS

If the Cavs meet the Mavs LeBron will be getting a ring this year.

It would be entertaining and go to 7 games though.

    I say Cavs vs. Mavs/Lakers

  • HaS

“I will post the head to head stats soon”

    No need, really.

  • LB2NYplz

HEAD TO HEAD MATCHUP OF THE NIGHT REPORT – HALFTIME

    EARL BARRON
    PTS: 2 RBD: 4 AST: 1 BLK: 1 TO; 1 +/-: – 11 FGA/FGM: 1/2 FT: 0/0

    DWIGHT HOWARD
    PTS: 13 RBD: 6 AST: 0 BLK: 0 TO; 0 +/-: + 12 FGA/FGM: 6/6 FT: 1/2

    post game report coming soon

i will be covering our center of the future that we should have signed along time ago for the remaining games of the season

  • HaS

    Why?

  • HaS

Damn x, Vince is putting on a shooting display just for you tonight.

  • HaS

More like Superman vs. Kick Ass.

  • HaS

LOL at “vintage Duhon”, no Clyde that is NOT “vintage” for Duhon. Unless you mean when he was at Duke.

  • Mucha

David Lee is not an elite power forward. Period.

  • HaS

    He’s an All-Star.

  • HaS

Stop “hating” on Lee, he is leading all centers in points and assists.

  • DwaneT

I think Gallo read the blog today.

  • Lebris Jamosh aka ridiculous upside

Which is why I laugh when _avi_ or his defendants (not as many as last year) cry about playing bigger centers. He would get eaten alive by the athletic PF in the league. Not many centers that can score or stay with him.

He doesn’t have a refined offensive game. A lot of go one way, spinning back the other. When he plays with a center, not much room to operate.

  • HaS

    Now that’s “vintage Duhon”.

  • HaS

Yea, disappearing in the 4th quarter again.

  • Mucha

Well the “point guards” didn’t give him the ball in the 4th quarter.

He didn’t play good defense tonight though.

LMAO Lee really can’t guard the P&R

  • HaS

Why can’t Gallinari play Lee’s role at the top of the key?

I can’t wait until this “coach” is out of here.

His team’s will always be among the leaders in three point attempts no matter who the personnel. I’ve seen enough.

  • HaS

Gallianari has to get more rebounds than Duhon in 43 minutes.

  • x-man

Yeah he does that when the game doesn’t reallyu matters. Wait until playoffs time come and that sucka is aiming his shots because he’s too scared or too dumb not to take it to the rim.

With all that talent and so little b-ball smarts. Kobe knows VC has no heart!

  • x-man

3 more games to go and we need 2 of them for DVJ to become a genius! lol

Ya feeling lucky DVJ? Need not worry because this coach has a history of doing the impossible. He still has a job!

  • x-man

Yep Jeffries is wondering why Houston not taking advanatge of his 3 pt shot!

I’m with ya on this coach and I hope he takes your boy T-Mac with him. I’ve seen enough of Vince Carter and his little cousin!

  • DatNewYorker

did not bother to watch. did duhon start again?

  • BigDaddybluesman

    This coach is an ass……thee ass……or de ass……..or D’ass…….or D’assholi…..now I got it.

Yeah Duhon is the future keep starting him over Douglas….what a moron….ain’t nobody coming here to play for this fool.

I don’t think I’m going to wait for my last post on how to become a Net fan.

  • HaS

    Of course.

  • ds2488

    Nice effort tonight.

Great offensive game from Gallo. I really liked what he did in the 3rd quarter. Again, he disappeared in the 4th but like Mucha said above the “pg”s were terrible. Nice job again from Sergio, who in his short time here has somehow turned into a shoot-first pg. Doug was bad, has to look to pass more. Duhon was same as always, which means suck.

Gallo was poor defensively, but next to Lee he was Bill Russel. Did anyone see in the 3rd quarter when Gallo and Lee were supposed to be switching and Lee just stood there while his man went in for a dunk. Gallo looked at Dantoni and shrugged and Dantoni just looked back at him and said its fine. What a joke!

There were about 3 or 4 more times where Lee didn’t bother switching. My favorite sequence was at the end of the half when he made a terrible careless pass that was picked off and then didn’t run out on Pietrus, who he was right next to who hit a shot at the buzzer. Nice swing there from our “allstar” Lee. Again, he should not be paid more than the midlevel to be a starting power forward. He has not proved he can be effective as that yet.

  • Knicks4life

Couldn’t even bring myself to watch the game tonight. I turned it on for a minute and we were down by 20 and Vince drained a 3pt shot right in Gallo’s face.

I’ve had enough with this season.

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

X u an i know the magics mightn’t make it the the east confernce finals.

an u an i know the answer why…

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

    missed the game.

but i see t-crak knee played steve erkel got another start…

stuck between a not too smart coach an g.m..lmao…

  • BigDaddybluesman

If I were David Lee I would fake injury as not to possibly really get injured and do what Curry is doing. Tank it baby…..no reason to play, nothing to prove……screw this organization.

Lee at this point after all these years with the Knicks would have had enough of this organization and D’assholi and I am sure DLee is fed up.

I don’t blame Lee for anything he has done or hasn’t done this season. People have short memories. When we first started the season all the way till the break Lee was playing his heart out. And he was trying on defense, he was the one looking over at the other players like Gallo, Chandler and Al chuck it like WTF are you guys doing. He knows how to play team defense and he will work all summer on it and his 3 PT shooting while guys like Duhon party away.

Then this season, he becomes to his surprise the only consistent offensive force. Playing center yet, now he can’t play defense because if he gets in foul trouble the Knicks can’t score. So he has to layoff on defense and the fans kill him for it. People have a short memory how he played before D’ass realized Lee was the only consistent scorer and rebounder and told him NOT to foul and play hard D. No he was never a great defenser but he was improving.

OK his grandfather dies, he plays 48 minutes hops on a plane, comes back the next day and gives another 48 minutes. For what, this sorry ass coach and franchise. And the fans now hate him…LMAO. What a bunch of ingrates. Not only that but he played hard with an injured Knee instead of what so many other would do and take off some games.

DLee is going to another team, play great. Not have the inflated numbers but will bring so much to another team and help them win. You are going to wish we had him back next season, not me because I will be watching another team.

Maybe a sign and trade with the Spurs for Jefferson, now there’s a D’assholi type player. Yeah watch DLee help bring the Spurs another championship before Duncan retires. Yeah call me crazy…..

This coach is a total moron………..he has done some of the most idiotic things I ever saw. A fool’s fool………..

I’m a fan for over 35 years and until this group is gone, I’m gone. Soon when MSG is empty maybe then things will turn around.

But there is one hope……..one hope……only one and I see it happening…….the Nets are going to get screwed by the NBA and the Russian guy gets sent home empty handed, the whole Brooklyn thing falls apart……..what does that mean? What has the Nets have to do with the Knicks. Well maybe it means Stern has decided that it’s the Knicks in Manhattan and NOT the Nets in Brooklyn, that would be best for the NBA.

So he screws the Nets and helps the Knicks. So maybe the fix is in…….maybe Minny owes the Knicks a favor for giving them Milicic and we get Rubino, maybe the great Bird helps out his mentor with Sterns blessing and we get Granger for Curry because they have to cut payroll, good excuse. Maybe we do a sign and trade with Lee and Chandler with the Spurs for Jefferson who bombed there because he can’t play real basketball the way Popovich wants.

I said Maybe, maybe, maybe, baby………

And the best yet, are y’all ready for this one……..

The cap magically goes up to 54 mil from what I read today. I bet he really does a number on the numbers and some how it goes all the way to 57 million bucks…….can you say 2 max free agents and enough room for some other players too plus these possible trades.

35 years and the NBA is fixed, I always knew it. I have seen so much BS from the refs and Stern does what? NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plays dumb like he didn’t know anything………yeah……..pleeeeze.

Like Charles Smith wasn’t hacked to hell every time he went up for that basket and nobody, not one ref called a foul. Did anybody here read what the Pistons owner said, he even admitted he knew the refs took a championship away from him. He came right out and said the refs in the NBA are crooked. They do what the league tells them to and the games are FIXED.

If Stern wants Lebron to stay in Cleveland they will win the title. If he wants Lebron to come to NYC he will make sure they don’t even get close.

I truly believe this……the world is a crooked place and everything is pretty much fixed like professional Wrestling.

Rant over, goodbye until next time. Yeah I’m pissed!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw Dolan, Walsh and D’ass.

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

    i got an earl b jersey today…

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

    o yea anothet thing
    not doing with the knicks.

the raps mightn’t make the playoffs
i guess rose might be rite they will be playing the cavs
my point is bosh mos def wouldn’t resign i doubt
my other point is BOSH ISN’T that much better than lee or z-bo
but i would take him over lee….

the raps have a nice team an BOSH can’t even take them too a 500 season this season..

    here comes the BOSH lovers…

  • HaS

    _avi_ is a joke.

  • HaS

    Bosh is going to Chicago.

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

that will be a nice front line but that means noah is gone to the raps if they do a sign an trade..

  • HaS

Chicago has cap space, they can just sign him as a free agent.

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

the raps might do a sign an trade unless bosh says fuck it or they don’t care to let him go for nothing..

  • http://dagawdknowledge.blogspot.com/ DaGawD_KnowLedge

the knicks should try an get YI from the nets

  • DVJ

I swear that Nate Robinson trade looks better and better with each day that passes.

Nate is doing absolutely nothing with the Celtics. Meanwhile Walker is exceeding everybody’s expectations in NY.

Can anybody say 42% from behind the 3 point line and 54% from the field?
    Clearly an upgrade.
I’m not to fond of Giddens and I don’t think he’ll be around next year but I think he’s coming off surgery so maybe he’s still getting back to his old self.

    FYI
The Celtics have officially waived Landry.

  • TG

    You should know.

  • totti

    Bigdaddybluesman,

you are so stupid in your comments all along the year that you won the first prize.
When i read you i become racist and wish you go to work in a beautiful cotton field, singing your stupid black religious songs.

Comparing to you, blackwood, has and dagawd are the most intelligent fans of the world

So go in peace bigdaddy, even your obama can’t give you salvation from your big stupidity

  • DatNewYorker

Damn BigDaddyB, Now that is what I call venting.

  • DatNewYorker

Damn, you must have a lot of white sheets in your house Totti.

  • DatNewYorker

Why don’t you just burn a cross in front of his house?

  • k-hodge

Huh? Totti WTF are you talking about? Big daddy vented a bit and brought up a few worthwhile points. Your comment isn’t worthy of responding, but I just couldn’t help myself..

  • Knicks4life

You do realize the Knicks record is abysmal and possibly worse since the trade. Who cares about individual stats?

And weren’t you opposed to the trade before you were for it (John Kerry style) Don’t make me go to the archives. . .

  • Knicks4life

“When i read you i become racist and wish you go to work in a beautiful cotton field, singing your stupid black religious songs.”

Please read this sentence again. Says alot about your intelligence doesn’t it . . .

  • totti

I just repay him out with the same money he paid gallo since the draft
    he’s the real racist

he blame gallo cause hes white and this since the beginning, two years ago

    today, i just broke off

    sorry to everybody of you
not sorry to bigdaddy, he just deserves a cotton field so he can meditate

  • BigDaddybluesman

    LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m a white skinned person from the Jewish faith.

    People are just so ignorant.

I am a blues musician that went under the name Big Daddy and it stuck because I’m big and if you fuck with me I’ll show you who’s you’re DADDY……..

  • BigDaddybluesman

You win the asshole of the year award.

    Racist loser…….

I really think our society has no place for people like you in fact this world has no place for you. You are everything that is wrong with the human race and the reason we are destroying each other.

Go join a white supremest organization so you can be with your brethren.

  • totti

    Then come to italy
    bigdaddy bastard
we kill the jews like you

  • Knicks4life

Good to see your racist sentiments ae not just reserved for the “cotton pickers”.

  • bigknicka

I hate vince carter!!! I remember watching a game against the Celtics where he just disappeared for 3 quarters and you could tell mark Jackson and jeff van gundy was just ripping him apart saying he’s coasting…. That’s exactly what I think is gonna happen in the playoffs, I hated that trade in the summer and I hate that trade now.

  • HaS

    Wow.

    Just wow.

  • bigknicka

Amen….. I couldn’t have said it better myself (about the NBA being fixed). Have you ever noticed how since the 78′ and 79′ finals we’ve always had the bigger market teams or teams with the biggest stars in the finals? (with the exception of spurs v nets and spurs v detroit)

  • harris

Absolutely disgraceful. TKB should really censor some of these people.

  • bigknicka

Totti?!! I thought you were cool? You usually have some good points on this blog but wtf is this? Are you drunk or something?!

  • LBJ2010

Seriously. Where’s Tommy? How are these comments not being deleted?

  • TG

    Wow. What an idiot.

  • BigDaddybluesman

Have you seen him play. Man he looks unstoppable one minute and the next were is Yi or he or whatever. I’d pass on Yi, he seems pretty clueless out there. The Nets made a huge mistake trading Ryan Anderson in that Carter deal.

  • BigDaddybluesman

That’s OK, I have been around in my life and have heard it all. About Jews and other races.

It doesn’t bother me because he is what he is and like I said he is what’s wrong with the people of the world. You see it first hand, it’s 2010 and people are still just as stupid and ignorant as they were in 1945 during the Holocaust and 1045 and 1045 BCE. Whatever the time period in this world people have always been like that and it will eventually be the reason for the end of the world as we know it.

The same as the state of the Knicks, nothing changes.

I actually have a lot of Italian friends and they would kick the crap out of you if they heard you say something like that. Some of them are married to Jewish women.

I say to all and especially Tommy Dee, let it stay, let everybody see it. Do not censor these things. The more we bring them out into the open and not make believe it doesn’t exist anymore the more it will exsit.

Once you actually read someone who believes it then and only then can we all realize what it is and how wrong it is.

Like when that moron DVJ uses the word retarded to describe something. It’s almost as bad. But nothing is worse then the hate that spews from the mind of the intolerant and ignorant.

The hate………it’s tearing this country apart right now because of color and race. I’m glad I am older and I don’t have to see what’s coming in the future, if this is still the attitude of so many people then the future is bleak.

  • HaS

    *stands*

    *applauds*

    +1

  • LB2NYplz

where do u get that its extremely rare to find

im trying to get an autographed earl barron jersey

  • BigDaddybluesman

What do you mean these people, there’s only ONE racist I see.

  • harris

Great post, but I believe these comments should be censored-otherwise it shows a tolerance for the continued open expression of such thoughts (thereby providing a forum for these idiots, and
ruining the enjoyment of the blog for everybody else). Everyone knows this kind of despicable thinking still exists. One does not need to read such garbage on TKB to be reminded of this.

  • HaS

Nah, leave it there. So, people can know what kind of person “totti” is and treat his post accordingly from now on. If it’s censored other posters may never get the chance to see it and won’t get to see him in this new light. Let him bask in all his newfound racist glory.

  • TG

Well put, but I’d say ban the guy, but leave the posts, so that other posters can see why they guy was banned.

  • HaS

    “You should know.”

  • CircleLimit4

    So, Basketball…

  • TG

    LOL

  • harris

I’m completely on board with that.

I just think the site has to do something.

  • oscar f

Im glad they didn’t delete those racist post so I know who to ignore on this blog . WOW !!! Thats crazy but I hope Tommy does delete him . To keep him shows TKB doesn’t mind this kind of stuff. Some of us black people and Jews can find those statements offensive. Anyways I wonder what knicks fans will discuss after the season is done . Should we hope the Cavs lose in he playoffs. I think the raptors wont make it but I don’t care since I don’t really care for Bosh coming here. I agree with HaS that he might end up in Chicago since that woul be the best fit for him.

  • oscar f

Bosh and Noah make a nice front court and the there is Chicago’s ALL-STAR pg . If they get Bosh they will be better than Boston next season.

  • DVJ

Why am I being included in this nonsense?
Damn..can you keep my name out your mouth for one day?
    LOL

Address it with the person that racially called you out.
    Don’t drag me into this.

    FYI
    Yes you are retarded.
If that’s racist or parallel to being racist then I guess I’m a racist.

    Retard.

    LOL

    Stay Patient My Friends.

  • DVJ

The Cavs will lose in the playoffs..to the Magic.

Why would Chicago be the best fit for Bosh?
Don’t they have Noah and Gibson already?

  • CircleLimit4

Jeez, how about just ignore the guy. No need to give a racist more attention than he deserves by enacting sort of ceremonious punishment. Yes, lets leave the comments up as a memorial so no one ever forgets the events that unfolded on 4/10/2010. I suppose we have to erect a statue now after BigDaddy’s “I have a dream” post.

Someone said something bigoted on the internet… shocking. Now let’s talk basketball.

  • DVJ

How will they be better than Boston next year?
Bosh is not a difference maker like that.
Then again…I hope he does go to the Bulls just so we don’t sign him.

  • harris

Such comments shouldn’t be condoned or tolerated.

  • harris

Or whatever it is that the Knicks do.

  • oscar f

Boston is on Decline . The best they can do if they lose Allen is get Raja Bell. Either way the Bulls will be better. They almost beat them last year. All the bulls ever needed was a low post scorer. Bosh doesn’t have to be a difference maker because Rose is that. Bosh puts the Bulls over the top against Boston. KG is also getting older . Ainge should have made a trade to make that team younger at the guard or wing.

  • BigDaddybluesman

You are part of the problem DVJ by using the word retarded the way you do.

Same mentality and the fact that you don’t realize it nor acknowledge that it’s possible reinforces the fact that you are ignorant and intolerant.

The humor in your post is something I’m just not getting.

I use you as an example because of your constant break from reality and use of words that have shown to be hurtful to some. That would make you insensitive to those people which puts you in the same human corral.

  • harris

As long as Vinny Del Negro is coaching that team, I just don’t see it.

  • CircleLimit4

I think they still have a shot at Wade. They are missing the scoring threat down low, but might try to groom Gibson or James Johnson to fill that role. They really need to fill the scoring void at the 2 left by Gordon and don’t have young 2 guards. If Deng is trade bate then they could maybe fill both the 2 and the 4.

  • fauci933

    Sellout

  • CircleLimit4

    zing!

  • oscar f

If Lebron stays in Cleveland and Amare goes to Miami,(it’s going to happen) Miami will be the top team in the east. I said it before and ima say it again,LBJ and jamison is not better than Wade and Amare. The heat can add Amare and Felton or Amare and Camby. That Heat team is already like number 5 and they give the Cavs problems so just imagine with Amare and Camby with Wade. That would be my sales pitch to LBJ if I was Walsh. He needs a better second fiddle. It would be better for him if he had Boozer of JJ.

  • HaS

“Don’t they have Noah and Gibson already?”

Noah is a Center and Gibson is a rookie.

  • Mucha

Your alias shouldn’t be totti but DI CANIO.

    GTFOH

  • oscar f

They have enough money for Bosh and Raja Bell. They have no shot at Wade . Wade has the best oppotunity to win in Miami. He is the only FA that shouldn’t think about leaving unless he wants to team up with LBJ in NY which is very possible despite what people think. They play very well together just watch the ALL-Star game. Wade was displaying himself for LBJ. Most of his 10 assist went to LBJ.

  • fauci933

I understand your gripes fully, but the Garden will never be empty because there are fans that, unlike you, would never jump ship when times are bad. I agree with almost everything you said, especially about Lee, but you don’t bail on a team you’ve followed for so long because of 10 years or so of mismanagement. Once again, ask the Cubs and Red Sox fans if they ever bailed.

  • HaS

    “FYI
    Yes you are retarded.
If that’s racist or parallel to being racist then I guess I’m a racist.

    Retard.

    LOL”

Maybe one of your children will be born with a learning disability or mental disorder (that would be poetic justice, one can only hope) and then you’ll understand what BigDaddybluesman is trying to convey.

  • harris

    Lol.

Well. . . we could always talk hockey. Maybe MSG will have a playoff team after all. Let’s Go Rangers!

  • itzyung1

Guys Is It a natural reaction for me to start feeling nervous about this Summer ?
What if we end up with nobody! Cause the there are only three Main Franchise Changers. D Wade, Bron and Bosh. Wades going back, Lebron said he aint leaving until they win and they aint winning this year because they aint beating The Magic or The Lakers or even the Nuggets.
Bosh we still got a shot at Bosh..

  • fauci933

Individual accomplishments are pretty important for these guys who are actually playing hard and trying to earn a spot on the team.

  • oscar f

Dont be its almost impossible that happens.

  • CircleLimit4

Aren’t they out if they lose Sunday?

  • fauci933

Awful. You make me wish I wasn’t Italian.

  • CircleLimit4

Nevermind, I missed the “Maybe” in your sentence.

But Yeah big game last night, and ever bigger tomorrow. God, I hate the Flyers.

  • harris

I should have said “such people”. Fair enough Big Daddy.

  • harris

They’re panicking in Philly. The Blue Shirts are coming!
    The Blue Shirts are coming!

There are few things better than a quiet and disappointed Philadelphia sports fan.

  • harris

I’m pretty confident we will get somebody. I just refuse to believe that DW would have traded and/or compromised three first round picks if he didn’t know something.

  • CircleLimit4

You don’t think there’s any shot of Wade going home to Chicago? Wade, Noah, Deng and Rose is a contending team for sure.

  • DVJ

Sorry but my child is already born but I appreciate your concern.

If you don’t know how to take the word retard then I can’t help you.
This is a blog not a popularity contest.

  • DVJ

“They almost beat them last year.”

You mean when they had Ben Gordon?

“Bosh doesn’t have to be a difference maker because Rose is that”

You do know they are under 500 right? How much of a difference maker can he be?

  • onemoretime

If Walsh uses the cap room to make trades they won’t need to sign any of the big 3 James, Wade or Bosh. If they can pry Chris Paul away from New Orleans i’d be just as happy as if they signed anybody even James.

  • HaS

“Sorry but my child is already born but I appreciate your concern.”

Maybe, but one thing surely better is a quiet and disappointed Boston fan…

  • CircleLimit4

Whatever happens, happens. Whether the Knicks are successful in getting those 3 or not is largely out of Walsh’s hands. If the Knicks can’t get those three, then plan B is where Walsh proves his worth. Damage control, damage control, damage control, that’s the name of the game. Grab somebody young (Rudy Gay?) then trade the rest of the cap space for young talent or picks. Cut the losses, try to get back some of the future Walsh mortgaged and see what’s around in 2011.

  • BigDaddybluesman

    Your slip is showing.

If you don’t understand that statement then you are intellectually challenged.

I can tell DVJ that you are indeed a child(and still are) of the new millennium. Devoted to the pursuit of your own self absorbed ways without empathy for others.

Another reason for me to see a bleak outlook for our society.

Your last statement sums up your total lack of understanding and small mindedness. How can anybody take your seriously here, for that matter how can anybody take you seriously as a man, unless of course you are a woman.

The idea that you (DVJ) have a child scares me to no end, that you will be bringing up a child with the same mentality, that again reinforces my bleak outlook. But unless you had your balls tied you can have another child so think about that, oh I forgot you are incapable of that kind of thought, it’s too deep for you.

  • DVJ

“Your child could have an accident and suffer a brain injury.\”

    LOL

I’ll ask you what you mean by that when I see you at Tommys get together if you show. I know you don’t mean that literally so I won’t even address it anymore.

Hey HaS…..your right. End of story.

    Back to basketball please

  • bigknicka

Yea a quiet and dissapointed Boston fan

  • DVJ

Don’t worry, I won’t do my child the way your daddy did you homey.

She’s actually doing very well for herself.
    Thanks for the concern retard.

Try to get me banned from the site if you don’t like me.
Start a ban DVJ petition LOL.

Can we talk about basketball again please?

  • DVJ

I would be happy also as long as we don’t trade Gallo for Paul.
Anybody else and I am game.

  • ds2488

IF the Knicks were able to get Chris Paul I would be doing freaking cartwheels haha. That would be amazing and so much fun to watch. I can’t even imagine Chris Paul in a fastbreak offense with a spread out floor to work on…I always hate how slow the Hornets seem to play instead of just running with him.

  • bigknicka

I really think people need to watch out for the bobcats, u give larry brown and his defense with the athletic players he has 7 games and they could cause havoc to teams like Boston and Cleveland

  • DVJ

I agree but we can’t give up Gallo for him.
Chandler I would move for him in a heartbeat…actually Chandler and anybody else except the Rooster.

Paul would be electric in this city….and we would still be able to make a run at Melo next summer.

    Not bad….not bad at all.

  • BigDaddybluesman

I just read that the cap went up or might go up to 54 million dollars. I have a feeling it might go higher and that will help the Knicks get free agents and fill the roster.

  • ds2488

While I would obviously hate to give up Gallo, if it was the only way to get Paul I would still have to do it. That really would suck to lose Gallo, but Paul is a top 10 player in the league, it would have to be done. But I definitely agree…Chandler would go before Gallo if it was up to me. And Gallo is all but untouchable unless its in a deal for a proven allstar and top player in the league. Gallo’s talent and contract is too valuable to lose in any other type of deal.

  • BigDaddybluesman

I don’t either like or dislike you, I have no feelings either way. You are a non entity.

I hope your child grows up seeing what her father is and learns to be the opposite.

Unlike you my father was around. I am guessing you grew up without one around and was raised by your mom.

But do you know who your father is. It could be me, I’m about the right age….

    Just call me Daddy….Big Daddy.

  • DVJ

“but Paul is a top 10 player in the league,”

Yes he is but I still wouldn’t trade Gallo for him man.
Especially with how much Paul has been hurt this year.
Gallo’s back is no longer an issue.

  • blackwood

LMAOOOO “Wade was displaying himself for LBJ” Really?? So Wade is longing to be LBJ’s wing man??

Because Wade does not have a ring right? lol Wade is a superstar not the second option my friend. It is cool to dream and do the fantasy league thing but in real life there are extenuating circumstances. Wade can get the most money in Miami, has that slum team in the playoff pic, is dealing with a very ugly divorce and custody battle and is every bit the superstar that LBJ is.

Wade as any other major superstar is human has an ego and believes you build around them! Wade is nobody’s Scotty Pipen.
Would be great to see but I think you will need to buy NBA2010 to see it lol.

  • DVJ

    OK, your right BigDaddybluesman.
    I give up.
We’ll talk about it more when Tommy has his get together.

    All good

I hope your kids are doing great.

    You win!!

    Basketball please……………

  • starksoakmase

SI came out with a list of top 50 FA’s.

Josh Childress or Josh Howard could be cheap short term contracts to take a look at if we have to trade Chandler in a Paul/Collison deal.

Take a look who do you guys want to fill in the roster?

  • BigDaddybluesman

Try again……….10 years, what about after the last championship, that was 1973. When Ewing came and the team got better it was 20 years later so it’s really 30+ years of crap and a few good ones……

    I had enough.

Nothing will change unless the fans start to be not fans.

“Gallo’s back is no longer an issue.”

    *Knock. On. Wood.*

  • BigDaddybluesman

No problem…….little words can make HUGE meanings.

  • blackwood

Theres my boy ds2488 is!! Come to the light of reality my friend you are welcomed for sure as are all my fellow Knick fans!!

CP3 is a superstar (I cant even name 10 better players)
Gallo is a very good young cheap talent but you dont keep a maybe when u can get a sure thing!

CP3 had a a knee injury and is fine and of course we would have to let the best specialist look him over to make sure he is 100%
But Gallo is a big who needs to get bigger who has a back injury and putting on weight wont help that and he needs to add a lot of weight.
And what was that strange forearm thing?? Never seen that.

My point in the end CP3 is as big a player as there is to get it is a game changer! And more important to me he is the best PG in the game, that translates in to making good players much better.

sign & trade Lee to G.S. for Kelenna Azubuike & Brandan Wright
or the kings if you can for Thompson. The key to everything in my view is if donnie understands that pulling off a S&T for Lee is the key to fixing holes & depth.

Use the second rd picks “WISELY” and picks up more front court depth, maybe buy another late first rd pick and target a SG to balance our depth.

That gives you the best PG in the game a sh!t load of young talent
as well as a hell of a lot of cap space which in turn makes us SO much more attractive to these FA’s we have in our sights.

We will at that point not be on our knees damn near begging them to take our money we would be a stronger team with money asking if they have interest playing and being part of a strong long term championship run.

If all that was done I would really not care about this years FA’s because now we would make the playoffs have lots of money and in 2011 have enough young talent to go after Durant (sign and trade) or Melo!

  • DVJ

    Call me Linus.

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • DVJ

“CP3 had a a knee injury and is fine and of course we would have to let the best specialist look him over to make sure he is 100% But Gallo is a big who needs to get bigger who has a back injury”

Why is CP3 fine and Gallo is still injured?
Hasn’t Gallo played more games this year than CP3?
    Is CP3 even playing now?
Didn’t he get shut down for the rest of the season due to ANOTHER injury that had nothing to do with the surgery he just had?

    Wow

  • BigDaddybluesman

As anybody like myself who has a back issue will tell you. Once you have a back issue you always have a back issue.

I have been suffering since 1982. It took a few years but every year it got worse and worse until the point that now I am unable to do much of anything. I only go out to the doctor if I need to. I am on pain medication also. So I am talking form personal experience as well as others who I have spoken with that have similar issues.

So to say Gallo’s back issues are no longer an issue would be incorrect. He has to be closely monitored for the rest of his playing days. Also he must do extra core strengthening and stretching along with a host of other exercises and treatments to keep himself healthy.

  • blackwood

Great link…..You read what they said about Azubuike!! Those skill sets would look great on our team and even better next to CP3.

Side note would not mind a little over paying for Salmons the guy is a beast.

At 30 we could give him a nice 3 year deal, still do the Lee trade to GS getting Azubuike & Wright and give ourselves good depth and young talent at all spots, as well as more options if say one of the FA’s we target has a team trying to keep there guy or not wanting to lose there guy for nothing.

  • DwaneT

“Like Charles Smith wasn’t hacked to hell every time he went up for that basket…”

Finally, someone was watching that play other than me.

Aside from that, You are dead on my brother. David is a very basketball player. Not a complete on yet, but he has the heart to do it. He isn’t playing for the money, he could run the family businesses and make more. He loves to play and complete. And what you said about him fouling and sitting is true. Yes, he could box out more often, but he would if he knew someone else would fight for the rebound. I hope David goes to the Nets so he can play ***PF*** with a big who compliments him, and still be near his girl. He has given what he could to the Knicks, and he needs to get the respect he deserves for what he brings to the game. He may not be an all-star, but he can help a good team win a championship. And I believe that’s what he really wants.

And I do believe that Donnie and Coach brought in a center to lower his value before the end of the season.

  • blackwood

maybe I did not express my point well, both injurys can linger but what I was trying to say was Gallo needed big time back surgery from a pick so I worry that it was a little to easy for that to happen, and that gallo to be legit at the 4 needs to add a lot of weight which will be no good for a bad back.

CP3 has a knee injury that also could become an issue but body wise there is no need to gain any weight or over tax the knee. Of course before anything we would need to get him checked out but my point the things gallo still needs to do to be better at the 4 in the long run are no good for a bad back.
I also found that thing with his shooting are strange.

Yes CP3 has been playing for a min already and what was your point about who played more games? Who played more last year? who has been to more all star games? who was the rookie of the year? who is know as the best player at his position?

You need to stop trying to twist anything said about Gallo as some type of hate on him. Read what my post said and lets talk on the facts in it, I am not making things up I am just making the point that there are long term issues to weigh when it comes to Gallo.

  • blackwood

Correction yes CP3 hurt his finger so they shut him down, makes sense seeing as they have Collison.

  • HaS

Is Tommy really having some sort of “get together”?

  • blackwood

It would be one hell of a thing if everybody showed!! lol

  • DatNewYorker

Stay strong big Daddy, We shall overcome! As for Totti I am afraid that I also agree with some of your comments about the Knicks but you lost me with the negative comments. I will pray for you and maybe sing one of those black religious songs while I pick some cotton. Damn dude you lost it. You need to see Dr. Tommy Dee and get some of that Knick Therapy that I talked about in the last thread.

  • starksoakmase

I wouldn’t mind going after Slamons if he opts out, but only for the right price and depending on who else we sign.

A deal with the Warriors could net some good pieces. Maybe we could add Curry for Biedris in the deal you proposed.

  • DVJ

Yep..and you better show up HaS.
You to blackwood, bob, biggie and BigDaddy…everybody should show up but please no fighting. I can’t fight and I bruise like fruit.
I think we can all get together and have a debate like grown men…even though some bloggers here think I’m young lol.
    I guess that’s a compliment though.

    Go Tiger!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • blackwood

Oh mark me down for sure!! lol

And yes GO TIGER!!!! I have never seen more hate I hope he wins that damn thing and I cant stand golf lol.

  • blackwood

I have EC going to the hornets Plus Gallo or Chandler and whatever for CP3 which is why I say getting the RIGHT pieces in a S&T for Lee is pivotal.

  • Boots

“Then this season, he becomes to his surprise the only consistent offensive force. No he was never a great defenser but he was improving.”

Been saying that all season. Lack of defense from a team’s premier scorer, and sometimes assist leader, is often a coaching decision, and not the shortcoming or choice of the player.

That is why is always dangerous to have your tough defender playing PG unless you have another quality play-maker. Defensive players pick up fouls and no team can afford to have their play-maker on the bench.

  • Boots

Bosh has said repeatedy that he is a “warm weather” guy. Unless the bright lights of Broadway seduce him, he sign with Miami and take less thatn Sign and trade to Chicago.

Bosh and Wade will put the fannies back in the seats. Miami is an i nternational multi-cultural city with plenty of young millionaires to party with. Don’t underestimate its attraction. They can sign Bosh and re-sign Wade.

  • Boots

    Totti,
I’ve enjoyed your posts until now.

Time to abjectly apologize and grovel for forgiveness.

We have too much racism manifesting itself in our country since the presidential election. We don’t need imported racism.

In my home county (Suffolk), your comments would be enough for a felony bias crime.

As I’m involved in numerous international forums, I understand certain comments are more or less serious geographically, but you’ve crossed a serious line here with your comments.

    Do the right thing.

  • Boots

Bosh will go to Miami before Wade will go to Chicago.

    (Rationale above)

  • Boots

    Like a broken record here . . .

    DVJ,
Enjoy your comments. I don’t disagree with all of them, but I have to disagree with your use of the word “retarded.” I worked as a Special Ed teacher and a child advocate for many years. “Retarded” and its various forms is a hurtful word for those of us who have a disabled member in the family or have worked to make the world see the mentally disabled as individual people.

Please stop. This is the 21st century and you are an adult. I ask you to realize that this word is not appropriate as put-down word.

  • Boots

Will the time and place be posted? Or is it going to be done by via e-mail addresses? I’d love to be there.

  • Mucha

    The future IS bleak.

  • blackwood

Hey to be honest it was not until “starksoakmase” posted that link that I even considered this name but IAN MAHINMI could be a very good look for us to be had on the cheap!! Go look in to what he can do & I think you like I will be pleasantly surprised! The guy could really be in for his break out time in the right place.

  • BigDaddybluesman

I would to attend but I am disabled. I have serious spinal issues and cannot sit, stand nor lay down for more than a few minutes at a time in one place.

To sleep I have to take medication or I go into sever spasms. just to be bale to sit here and type I have to take pain meds.

So yeah I would love to go and talk and have a drink and be merry. You have NO idea how much I would love to be able to do that.

That is one reason I am about not putting down others for any reason. As a disabled person I have been discriminated against, as a person with a Jewish background as we all saw today I have been discriminated against. So I am sensitive to others and anything done to discriminate or made to belittle others in anyway.

Yeah I was the guy who fought the bullies picking on the kids who could not fight for themselves.

    But thanks for the offer.

    Here’s a funny quote from T-Mac:

“I haven’t fallen off that f*****g much,” McGrady said before a morning workout. “I don’t see myself in a sixth-man role, either. I’ve been hurt, but I’ll be fine by next season. This just takes time.”

    via… http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/04/09/mcgrady-still-confident-in-comeback/

Seriously, if it’s time, it’s time. T-Mac, you had a good run, but sometimes you just have to put a fork in it. Good luck…

  • Boots

I’ve been semi-disabled off and on for the past 12 years, and am slowly working my way through to relatively decent health.

A series of DVTs, and resultant pulmonary embolisms really stuck a stick in my spoke; the results of this required several reconstructive surgeries for necrotic flesh.

Meanwhile my displaisic hips wore out from years of abuse, and after walking with bone on bone for over a year, I had the left one replaced in Feb. and have the right one scheduled foe July 21st.

Now, if they can figure out why my right foot goes numb when I walk more than a 100 yards, I might be considered fully ambulatory.

This is my way of saying that I feel for you big fellow. I’m experiencing only a small part of what you are going through. I can’t imaginr the pain that you are feeling.

Keep up the advocacy for the underdogs, it is a great cause and makes the world a better place.

  • BigDaddybluesman

You could walk 100 yards…wow….I envy you……I was up to 2 miles walking until finally one disc tore…..

So now I can’t even walk 100 feet, I’d never make it.

But nothing will defeat my spirit not even people like totti or whatever his name is.

That’s why I am so sick of Dolan and the Knicks.

People don’t realize what it means to be able to sit down and try to get into a good basketball game from your favorite team. You forget about yourself, your troubles, your pain and everything. But what do we get to see, a bunch of dysfunctional players, coaches and an owner. All I want is to watch some good basketball, win or lose.

But what we have is unwatchable for 10+ years. The dysfunction, the worst players coming here to play their me first BBall and stink up the garden.

Man I just cannot take it anymore……..I have enough in my life I don’t need to see the drama of the dysfunctional Knicks.

So some might call me out for abandoning a team I followed for 35+ years……so be it. It’s just too painful to watch anymore…..it’s like tough love baby.

  • BigDaddybluesman

Delusional, egocentric and totally out there, this guy doesn’t know what the word humble means let alone reality. He’s living on another planet in another dimension.

Why did we trade for this guy? Another of the many players to come through the garden who I despise because of their attitude.

I cannot believe we could not have gotten rid of JJ without giving up SO much and getting back this lump of horse dung.

  • harris

It’s almost comical. We banned Marbury from the team last year and got absolutely nothing for him as a result. The Rockets banned McGrady and got a terrific off guard (Kevin Martin) and a first round pick, with another possible first round pick upgrade. While the McGrady trade might have been the sole means the Knicks had to get rid of JJ , it’s funny to look at the disparity between the two teams in comparing the return for an entirely unwanted player. Marbury, for all his emotional instability, was better last year than what McGrady is now. At least Marbury could move.
