After seeing Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Kobe Bryant, Manu Ginobili and Marcus Camby sign contract extensions with their teams, I just knew that the chances of the Knicks having a long and disheartening 2010 summer increased.

I don’t mean to sound negative, but does anyone believe that there is even a 50 percent chance that Lebron will choose suicide by leaving Cleveland and joining a team that has difficulty breaking away from their losing culture?

I think Lebron loves Cleveland and winning so much that even if his Cavaliers lost in the first round he would re-sign with them in less than a week just to avoid having to listen to the media speculate his next move.

I dout LBJ is spending the most important era of his career in a place if he can’t see himself winning there longterm. He will go where he can win multiple championships and finish his career. The idea that he will sign in Cleveland for 3 years and become a FA is dumb since he doesn’t know what opportunities await him in the future. Who is to say there will be another opportunity in 3 years for him to team up with the stars that are available this summer. Dont for get this will be the best FA class for a very long time. The knicks with a few other teams can offer him a chance to play with younger talent and a star or two. The knicks are in very good position to give him that with the cap space, and Eddy’s expiring contract. Then there is the challenge of wining in NY and the reward of star who leads NY to a Championship. That Cleveland team is aging and is built to win over the next two years and if they don’t don it this year why would LBJ think they could do it next season. Bottomline knicks fans should give LBJ some credit as a smart enough person to realize the obvious.

He may very well not sign with the Knicks but if he wanted to end the media speculation he could’ve signed an extension long ago or even today.

I don’t think that he has been waiting this long to sign an extension with the Cavs because he wants to have the Knicks as one of his options. He might have waited this long in order to force Danny Ferry to give him the best supporting cast possible. And to also make his coach and teammates feel the pressure of having to win now with him.Once the playoffs are over, there could be a 90 percent possibility that Lebron re-signs with Cleveland before July 1st even gets here.

That wouldn’t ake sense since that would give the indication that the team and org. needs to be on the hot seat to compete and care about winning which in it self could be reasons for him to wanna leave . I think he is uncertain about his future and will determine his fate this summer based on whats best for LBJ longterm. Not whats best for Cleveland but for LBJ. If you read my statement below you will see why I feel NY is best for LBJ or atleast one off the best. One thing for sure Cleveland is not best longterm and you cant prove otherwise.

I understand what you’re saying, but do you see Lebron Killing himself to play with Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh or David Lee and a roster of Gallo, Chandler, Douglas and D-leaguers? Do you believe that any player with the star power of James would leave a defensive minded team to play for a coach who thinks that the formula for winning championships is all about having 5 players on a court chuck up 3 pointers and play half solid defense 20 percent of the time?

I know this argument has been used close to 30 million times by Knick fans, but there is nothing attractive about the Knicks right now besides the fact that they play in one of the greatest cities in the world.I sense that when Lebron thinks about the Knicks he thinks about how much they stink right now and not about how much better they would be with him playing for them.

If NY was such a coveted place to play in, all of these players, who have recently signed extensions with their teams, would have at least waited until July to have the Knicks as a possible option.

You seem to forget Eddy Curry’s expiring contract. Remember what Big-Z brought back to Cleveland who is LBJ’s sidekick. The knicks can do that and add a star to play with LBJ. You need to look at the production from the Cavs players . The all coveted Hickson is getting like 45 seconds a game , Shaq is not doing nothing and jamison is struggling and he is a poor defender, not to mentin the latter are 37 and 34 respectively. Just doesn’t sound all that good . Plus you failed to mention the possible draft choices. The knicks have more to offer over a longer period and the Cavs have more to offer right now but not that much more. You should have watched them play when LBJ was sitting , they are not that good.

Collison, Joe Johnson, Lebron, Gallo, Okafor

    Collison, Gallo, Lebron, Bosh/Amar’e, Okafor

You really don’t think Lebron would want to play in a lineup like that?
    good point guard – check
    defensive center – check
    playmaker – check
    three ball – check
    post presence – check

walker and td provide scoring off the bench
plus barron, two draft picks and whoever else the knicks sign
looks like a better “team of the future” than shaq+jamison

i honestly cannot see lebron in a Cav’s uniform next year. Theres just too many options for him to be in better markets with better players. Id see him with the bulls before resigning with the cavs. If i was lebron i’d seriously consider playing in NY. I can’t imagine a place that would be better to be rich and famous in.

Who the f really wants to be rich and famous in cleveland lol. noah in an interview was making fun of cleveland so hard when asked if he would go out at night. he just started laughing and was like “go out?? where am i gonna go out to? a factory” i thought it was maddd funnny

On the real can you put me to sleep and just wake me July 1st

    I’ll double that suggestion.

Hit the wall with too much talk and speculation about LBJ when NOBODY knows the answer.
