ESPN’S Broussard Says Chicago

by Tommy Dee on May 12th, 2010 at 1:26 pm

Via Chicago Tribune-

“…ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard made an early TV appearance on Wednesday, saying the Bulls are LeBron James‘ No. 1 option should he leave the Cavaliers.Broussard is an Ohio native and very close to James and his inner circle…”

By the way, there’s still Game 6 to play and *7…

*if necessary

  • harlemsdiplomat

man he aint never lie if im a free agent i would go to chicago also they do have the best team with cap space……nightmare lineup
drose deng bron gibson and noah smh not siging ben gordon a couple years back looks oh sooo smart right now

  • http://www.reeltalkblog.com Shakespeare

yea i seen this on mike and mike this morning….i think Broussard is clearly talking out his behind…..i think that’s the last place lebron wants to go as a free-agent…….lebron already doesn’t get along w/ those guys, remember Noah screaming at bron and his bench when they were dancing around like idiots….lebron already has a HUGE rivalry w/ boston and chicago….what better place to go, THAN NEW YORK, to continue those rivalries????

Wade i think would be interested in going home to chicago, since he jus bought a 20million dollar mansion out there, also may not be happy if bosh, n lebron go to ny, and amare stays in phx, and the best he can get is boozer….

AND SHOOT WADE MAY WANT TO GET AWAY FROM HIS CRAZZZZZY ASS BABY MOMS…LOLOL…

  • Mucha

I can’t even count how many times Broussard has been proven wrong.

  • jingo

If Lebron leaves Cleveland it will be to make his own legend, fortune, legacy, history in NYC.

This is the most hopeful I’ve been regarding King james in NYC.

I wonder if his first request will be this: Fire D’Antoni and replace him with Doc Rivers or someone who cares about defense.

  • http://www.reeltalkblog.com Shakespeare

    +1 LOL…

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

u know what i know exactly where lebron is going an it’s where the cash is at
so whoeva coughs up the most most likely will win the crab walk sweep stakes

  • BASEline LANEdrive

i can’t lie… chicago does worry me a little bit. Mathematically it’s a scary thought. Hopefully the thought of playing in Jordan’s shadow doesn’t interest Bron, as it wouldn’t interest me… also hopefully the prospect of playing with another top flight player (ie: BOSH) is more enticing.

  • itzyung1

Dont see much of a difference offense wise only real weapons Chi town has is D Rose and he needs the ball in his hands to be effective.
Lebron And A Real PG won’t work. Lebron And A Shooting PG works wonders.

  • trenttucker

This is a good point. Chicago has the most to offer talent-wise, but if he signs people will ask if that means he doesn’t want it in his hands at the ends of games. Lebron is like Bird or Jordan — a real PG would waste his gifts.

  • YO SON

its ironic that he had his worse game ever on the same day that the russian billionaire was officially name owner of the nets …might have weighed on his mind prior and or during the game as well….dnt think he will ply 2years in brick city b4 going to bk though just saying…………….

  • Starks3ofPA

Sorry off topic but what is this noise about Tony Parker? Idk how I would feel about him…..he looks banged up…..he can break down defenses and get to the hole at will which would be great to have the defense collapse and kick out to danilo but also Parker isn’t a great 3pt shooter….I be a big fan of Eva longoria sitting courtside for 41 home games tho

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

    u never know
    but we will see..

  • YO SON

    OVVVVVEEEEERRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaattttttttteeeeeeeeeeeDDDDDDdddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • trenttucker

To me, our number one goal is Lebron/Bosh, which would allow us to run a triangle offense. For that, you just want a PG who can bring it up, hit open threes from the corner or weak side wing, and play great D. (Start practicing those corner 3′s, Toney Douglas!).

If we can’t get those guys, then we look for more of a pick and roll/penetrator guard. Chris Paul is obviously the #1 option there, but Parker and Felton are also that type of player. I prefer Felton, though.

  • Sergio

LeBron James will never go to Chicago. If he goes and he doesn’t win 6 or 7 rings, he will be labled a failure playing in Michael Jordan’s house and shadow. He’s coming to New York or staying in Cleveland. Chris Broussard is horrible.

  • bigknicka

Chris broussard is starting to sound like Steven A Smith with his comments, it sounds like he just needs the attention. And why would he wanna go follow the shadow of Jordan in Chicago when he’s already chasing Jordan and now Kobe in Cleveland??

NBA executives and agents are saying if he loses this series he’s goin to new York with Bosh…. Even the author of his book which was a story about his days in high school predicted no matter what he’s going to New York

  • Starks3ofPA

I hope u aren’t saying Eva is overrated Haha….yea Tim Duncan is the reason behind those titles but Parker was always a nightmare he obviously isn’t the same player but if he is available he is def the best pg out there. ….new Orleans is NOT getting rid of Paul or collison, felting stinks, Blake and ridnour are good backups at best. ….Parker is a f.a. after next year I think so get him and if it doesn’t work out let him walk but hopefully we don’t deal gallinari

  • YO SON

I dnt think chi have more talent then jerz… ..espcially considering brons skill set…………. but he did change his number to #6 knowing 23 is retired in chi….but if carrying cleveland on his back ALONE to be fair is to much for him…. imagine him playing in the house that jordan built… the guy he is most compared too….especially coming in with no rings basiclly failing in bringing in his home state a championship is to much for him or any1 to bare………

  • Starks3ofPA

    Felton ********

  • bigknicka

It’s the same reason why I think LBJ and D-wade won’t work, they both need the ball.

And look at the remaining teams in the playoffs what do they all have in common?

Suns: Nash (guard) Amare (big man)
Orlando: Nelson (guard) Howard (big man)
LA: Kobe (guard) Gasol (big man)
Boston: Rondo, Allen (guards) Pierce Garnett (forward, big man)

Now if Lebron comes to NYC with Bosh look at what he’ll have:
Knicks: Lebron (guard, forward) Bosh (big man)

There’s no A caliber big men in Miami or Chicago so those teams will have trouble inside no matter what.

  • Myles A. Mills

    no

  • YO SON

ahahahha…I was actually reffering to eva mostly…….no ass no titts no thighs no hips and a cake face full of make up….plzzzzzz……she’s decent….but theres no reason the camera should be panned in on her everytime parker makes a play….she cant even act…..and I never watched 1 episode of that show….She has NOTHING on Tamera or Vennessa Williams when comparing “famous “basketball wifes………and guys plz stop with the blake and jj reddick as pieces to the bench ….aahahahaha……
parker was referred to as an elite point guard….nothing elite about him especially now……couple of years ago u may have had an argument……….but very good tho………..

  • Mucha

At least Stephen A. Smith was a Knick fan.

  • YO SON

felton got abused by nelson and looked lost and scarred….nah Im good……..

@TommyDeeTKB this guy do not no wat he talk about if u look at he face we he say it he do not belive it 1game away to cum to the knicks

  • Starksfor3

I want King James here as much as the next Knicks nut, but could it be he’s just a teeny bit overhyped? He’s been in the league for seven years, but has yet to deliver a title. In all fairness, I don’t recall how old Jordan was when he won his first. Though LBJ is certainly not past his prime, is it crazy to think he may not win big in New York? In my opinion, his greatness needs to be validated by championships. And considering where Kobe is at this stage in his career, it’s time for ‘Bron to start delivering.

    felton is garbage
    that’s like signing duhon again

  • BASEline LANEdrive

    you sir, are bugging.

look at bron bron’s stats? and look how good he makes those bums known as the cleveland cavaliers look!!!

jordan didn’t win until he was 28… don’t worry.. lebron is fine. he may not win in NY but being only ONE MAN he’s ANY team’s best bet for a championship (maybe besides kobe)

kobe was ONLY able to win earlier cause of shaq.

  • Mucha

lol and Shaq was only able to win because of Kobe.

The “Kobe can’t win without Shaq” is the most retarted argument in the history of the NBA.

  • DwaneT

LeBron isn’t any more worried about “playing in the shadow” of Jordan than Patrick feared following Reed, or Kobe feared following Magic (or Magic feared following West). Superstars aren’t wired that way. If he wins one championship in Chicago on a three year contract he’ll still be a legend in Chi-town. Rose is smart enough to understand he has to give it up to LeBron in crunch time, and he has the complementary skills to be a Pippin to LeBron… in which case you don’t have to have the super dominant all-around big man… you just use several like Phil Jackson did, one that can score and one that can defend.

Let me put this out there now, I believe LeBron will leave Cleveland, but he won’t jump ship straightaway. I believe he will do a sign and trade so that he leaves Cleveland with a competitive team or a chance to rebuild. So going with a team with both assets and cap space is important. Say if he signed with Cleveland and then they traded him to Chicago for Luol Deng and Derrick Rose, Cleveland would still have a young star and a good vet, and Chicago would have room to get LeBron and Wade. That may not be the way it goes down, but I think it will be a similar scenario. He may even go play with Dirk.

  • Knicks4life

I see Wade going there before Lebron.

  • kousinkar

    +1

I have to agree with something I heard on the radio – “Lebron plays with a bunch of 6′s who he makes look like 8′s”.

Lebron’s never played with an elite coach, or next to a 2nd banana as good as a Gasol.

Tim Duncan won rings without a HoFer next to him, Wade pulled it off, and so did that one Pistons squad – but all were led by elite coaches.

  • traps9

I guess I missed the part where we fired D’Antoni and hired Kurt Rambis.

  • Knicks4life

I’ve heard this argument before and I disagree. LBJ Wade and Chris Paul sure looked great in the Olympics playing together (yeah I know different game).

Good PGs can play with ball dominant wing players. Billups and Melo are meshing quite well in Denver (except for this year in the playoffs . . . ). J Kidd played really well with VC in NJ (two finals appearances). Jameer Nelson looks phenomimal with Lewis, Carter, and Howard all needing the ball (well Howard not so much). Just takes a different mentality from all involved. Remember what Baron Davis was able to do with all those chuckers in GS.

If you have the right coach (cue X-Man) Wade and LBJ or LBJ and a pass first PG would work.

  • Starks3ofPA

I would hate ray felton as our pg. ….I hope to god that Boston wins tomorrow and we get the king….he makes any team he plays for a playoff team….Tony Parker and lebron is a better 1 2 punch than lebron and sorry ass mo Williams

  • YO SON

    word…….R I P Lena Horne…..

  • BASEline LANEdrive

whoa whoa whoa. fall back and read what i wrote. did i say kobe can’t win without shaq? nawwww.. i didn’t. I said that kobe was only able to win earlier (than jordan’s 28) because of shaq (also because he came outta hs, but whatever).

    - Meaning he wasn’t necessarily the head honcho of the team when they won.
    - Meaning i don’t think he was ready at that point to solely lead the team to victory
    - Meaning he couldn’t even claim that he lead the team because of shaq’s existence and great play as well.

(not saying shaq can claim any of that, truthfully they needed each other)

if you look at the history of the NBA, most teams who win have more than 1 top tier player.

Damn near every1 on those Celtics/Lakers teams are hall of famers, and when the pistons/bulls won multiple rings they were jordan had pippen, and isiah had plenty of allstar talent around him.

There are a few exceptions like when the pistons won in the 2000′s, they had a balanced good starting 5 but none of them were in the top of the nba.

it’s not a knock on kobe bryant (or anyone for that matter) to say they can’t win without another star.. cause truthfully, I doubt anyone could.

Good thing we have space for 2 max contracts….

  • Knicks4life

“lol and Shaq was only able to win because of Kobe”

Shaq was a bigger piece of the puzzle though. He also went to the NBA finals before Kobe and won another one pretty soon after leaving the Lakers in Miami without Phil and Kobe (although he had D. Wade).

I don’t disagree with you that they were both vital parts to that championship (as was Phil) but Shaq was the key to me. In his prime he was the most dominant player in basketball. Its almost sad to see him now. I hope he retires after this year. It is like watching Ewing in that damn Magic’s uniform.

  • bigknicka

LOL and that’s where it ends

  • Mucha

LeBron James has a very good supporting cast. Antawn Jamison was an All-Star two years ago. Mo Williams and Shaquille O’Neal were All-Stars last season. Anderson Varejao is an All-NBA defensive player.

The Cavaliers are old – reason why LeBron should sign with the Knicks in my opinion – but ENOUGH EXCUSES. He has a great supporting cast, the Cavaliers are DEEPER than the Lakers.

Btw I think Ginobili will be a HOF’er because his resume is impressive and Dwyane Wade played with a guy named Shaquille O’Neal.

  • trenttucker

    That was in my dreams.

  • Mucha

    I agree with you.

Shaquille O’Neal was the most dominant player on that Laker team but they both needed eachother.

  • trenttucker

I didn’t think Felton was as bad as everybody else did, but I give him a pass anyway since it was his first time in the playoffs and the Magic defense has been suffocating. If someone doesn’t give 100% on D then Stan Van Gundy goes insane. That’s the coach I want.

  • Knicks4life

No way Chicago trades Rose to Cleveland when they could just sign LeBron straight up. Without Rose, Chicago isn’t better than Cleveland’s supporting cast right now. However, I think anyone else on that roster, including multiple future first round picks, are available.

I also don’t know how Cleveland justifies trading LBJ, the best player in their franchise history, within the division and to a hated rival (remember what Jordan did to them). Interesting thought though, would LBJ force Cleveland to do a sign and trade and if so, what could Cleveland get back?

  • BASEline LANEdrive

Wade had Shaq who still played at a high level.

Duncan’s 1st was with David Robinson (who was still very productive at 18pts, 10reb, 2blks).

I mentioned the piston’s team as what i think of an anomaly… but most teams that win have 2 hall of famers.

It probably won’t be any different for Lebron.

  • BASEline LANEdrive

like you said.. it would be stupid for cleveland unless they get back rose and deng…

EVEN if they sent deng and noah (which probably won’t work money wise) I still think Lebron is better off going some place (like ny) with a big man (like bosh). Rose is great, but he’s more of a scoring point guard than a distributor..

  • Mucha

Alright I didn’t mean to be overly aggressive and the way you said it looked like a typical Kobe hater punchline. My bad.

  • trenttucker

I agree, but I do think Lebron comes here if Bosh does, too. He likes Bosh (as do I). That’s our one chance, and that’s why we made that trade with Houston. We could also give Chandler or Gallo and Curry to Cleveland in an S&T for Lebron. That would allow us to sign two maxes (presumably Lebron and Bosh) and one or two pieces, say Felton and Haywood, leaving us with:

    Felton
    Lebron
    Chandler/Gallo
    Bosh
    Haywood

    Bench: Douglas, Walker, flotsam, jetsam

It’s my dream scenario. Probably won’t happen, but a 35 year old can dream.

  • Mucha

I mean I’m sorry I misread your intentions.

  • bigknicka

Denver is good example as well as OKC but the problem has always been they don’t have solid Big men on their respective teams (jeff green is great but he’s only 6’9 maybe 6’10).

Denver lost because they got pounded inside, OKC lost because they got pounded inside this year, it’s the same with Utah also. When u look at those New jersey teams from 02-03 finals they were playing the weakest competition in the east of any era in the last 20 to 30 years, when they went up against the lakers in 02 they got exposed, when they went up against the spurs in 03 (also the lowest rated finals ever) they exposed by Duncan and Robinson was only scoring 7 points and 6 rebounds during those playoffs.

Let’s remember that eastern conference was pre Lebron pre Wade Pre Bosh and right before the pistons got Rasheed Wallace, so those Nets teams came together at the perfect time in the east, if they were in the west they wouldve gotten murdered out there

  • young hova

Seeing as how Lee got an All-star selection I hardly think that qualifies players as great supporting cast, especially since Antwan Jamison’s appearance was 2 years ago and he is clearly not the player he once was and Mo Williams only got a spot because he played with Lebron, otherwise he was a typical inefficient shoot first PG in the same vain as Monta Ellis (just nowhere near his speed).

I would take Gasol, Odom, Bynum and possibly (though doubtful) Artest and Fisher (strictly because he is a smart player and has a knack for hitting big shots) over any player on the Cavs, so while I don’t think the Cavs are awful (maybe an 8 seed) without Lebron they are not deeper than the Lakers. Do not get confused by the guys that Lebron makes look good i.e West, Williams, Parker, Hickson

  • young hova

Actually I disagree Rose is definitely a distributor, and sometimes to a fault but since he doesn’t have a go to scorer on his team since Gordon left he has has to carry the scoring load (which he is pretty damn good at).

  • BASEline LANEdrive

it’s all good man. no sweat… one of my boys from college is from LA and a huuuuuge laker fan.. so i make sure I’m specific when talking bout the Lake Show.

  • kousinkar

Yeah I wasn’t specific enough, Wade played next to a HoFer in Shaq, but his presence in that Finals wasn’t very memorable; Shaq was definitely on his way down.

But I’m a huge Ginobili fan as well; I don’t think his NBA resume is HoF (partly for situational reasons), but his overall resume (NBA champs, 6th man, Euroleague MVP, gold medals) speaks for itself. All-world competitor.

  • fauci933

LeBron’s NBA salary wherever he goes will be less than 50% of his annual income, which is close to forty million. His endorsements and such will only grow in a bigger market. A couple hundred thousand or even a million from whichever team will not dictate where LeBron goes. He goes where he wants to go to leave his legacy in my opinion.

  • BASEline LANEdrive

It’s not that Rose can’t pass. What i mean is that he rarely dominates the game the way Rondo sometimes does… (sometimes with more assists than points). He’ll have a 30 pts 10 asst 8 reb game every so often but many times when he “takes over” a game it’s by penetrating and scoring points.

I see his stats every day cause i had him on a fantasy bball team.. and he’s great, don’t get me wrong.. but he’s definitely not an off the ball type player. I feel lebron needs that more from his backcourt.

  • Mal

LBJ would have to learn to play off the ball more with a true point guard as D Rose.
There is no tellin whats on LBJ’s mind and I wouldnt be surprised if we were crossed and left at the altar

  • akdrum

LeBron James is not coming to ny- NO WAY

NOBODY IS. veterans will not play for Dolan. They don’t like him- regardless of DW.
    sorry folks
its going to be like the clippers but a bit better-young,long ,talented and CHEAP! and David Lee is not coming back….he wants OUT

mGmNT is out there (all over the world) trying to get the best deals on players who have a WINNING attitude and are the things I described above-

I figure the bloggers who keep yapping about this are bet the ages of 15 & 21. with all respect
    get a grip

  • fauci933

Plus, LeBron has a shooting PG right now, and it is failing them. I’m not going to dismiss the idea of pairing him with a true PG until it’s proven unsuccessful.

  • DwaneT

My point is that if LeBron leaves, he won’t leave Cleveland with nothing. So unless someone is willing to send something back for him, he won’t go to that place. If they can get LeBron and possibly Wade, Chicago would trade Rose to Cleveland in a heartbeat. NY is still a good option, but it would come down to sending assets to Cleveland and still have enough left to win with. With who exists on paper right now, that would be easier to do for Chicago than us. I just don’t see LeBron leaving Cleveland with Mo. Shaq, and Jamison and nothing else, because no one great is “going” to Cleveland if he leaves. So he would have to work a sign-and-trade to help his old team.

  • grahambo86

I do too. I can’t see Wade going there and just sitting back and watch LeBron do it.

  • grahambo86

He is from Ohio and is just praying that LeBron doesn’t come to NY, jealousy I would call it.

  • bob go knicks

yeah, the best player in the NBA and a great PG wouldnt work? “crickets”

  • fauci933

Well that’s good, now we can stop talking about it because this guy ^ says he’s not coming. I don’t think anyone else on this blog would put our chances at 0% for LeBron or any free agents at all.

  • young hova

I definitely agree he is not an off the ball type of player, and in that sense I agree he doesn’t seem like a good fit for Lebron, who I think the perfect PG for would be Deron Williams (can play off or on and can hit the shot).

  • bob go knicks

and hes a PRICK also! Just imagine,if there were a New York pro athelete, who treated his fans the way LEBRON has treated CAVS fans! Imagine if 5 years ago ,Derek Jeter eg,had a contract that was up,and all year long, kept making comments about going to …say..CHICAGO or Boston acting the same stupid way that LBJ has for the past 2 years?how pissed would NY fans be? the guy is a phony PRICK!

  • donnie_brasco

now your buggin, kobe proved he couldn’t do it by himself hence him bitching to the media to get traded because he didn’t have good talent around him, what do they do they go ahead and surround him with guys that on there own could easily make it to the second round by themselves, shaq went to miami and got a ring the first year in, minus shaq from that year and imagine the results of the season for miami, baseline you got it right the first time

  • kousinkar

The Cavs do have great depth, but against the Celtics, Magic, or the Lakers – what starting line-up matchups do the Cavs win? The Celtics win at PG, SG, PF, and maybe a draw at C. The Magic win at PG, SG, PF, and C. The Lakers win at SG, PF, and C.

We always tend to put a lot of heat on a player who could not deliver a title – and I definitely agree that we need some real stars if we want a title – but basketball is a team game.

  • BiggieSmalls

i dont see Lebron going to Chicago to be in Jordan’s shadow..

    Wade si another story

  • Mucha

Well it’s the basketball HOF not the NBA HOF – I think Ginobili deserves to be eligible.

  • da0213

    LOL +2

He’s also the same douche who has been insisting all along that he wasn’t leaving the Cavs. What a hack…

  • Big Blue St3

I had my doubts about Lebron leaving too, and had actually started to accept waiting for the Summer of Melo, but body language and results are telling a whole different story then the guy who was playfully blowing off reporters earlier in the year about leaving.

Lebron is realizing he’s alone on offense.
He knows the Cavs can’t do much to make themselves better this offseason.
He realizes that this team is only going to get older.
And he sees Dwight Howard, Nelson and the rest of the Magic MANHANDLE their competition.

That game last night was his white flag, imo. He may re-motivate himself Thursday night and drop 38 on the C’s but the writings on the wall….he looks like a beaten man.

Bron alone makes us a playoff team, Bron and Bosh makes us a top 4 seed. Whatever we get from Curry’s contract, hopefully puts us over the top.

  • the oak

Chris Broussard is awful. People “close to the situation” tell me Broussard is a clown.

Anyone who say, “people close to the situation tell me” about anything Lebron are joking themselves. Lebron doesn’t know what he is going to do.

How many times have we heard different reporters say, “people close to the situation?” And how many of these reports contradict each other.

People close to the situation tell me Lebron…

Thinks Joe Johnson is his running mate
    Wants to play with Bosh
    Is 90% staying in Cleveland
Chicago on top of New York
Loves what Amare could bring to the table

I mean nobody knows what the kid is thinking.

  • itzyung1

We can’t say Lebron worked with CP3 because of the olympics because its the olympics how can you judge whether someone meshes. Also Wade was Ball Dominant in the olympics if anyone remembers.

The Argument is will Ball Dominant Players work with True PG.
I wouldn’t call Billups a true PG and I wouldn’t call Durant Ball Dominant.

  • Mucha

The Cavs couldn’t beat the Orlando Magic last season. If they can’t get over the hump with a 34-year old Antawn Jamison and a 38-year old Shaquille O’Neal, they will never win a championship because they will not get any better!

If the Celtics eliminate the Cavaliers, LeBron James should sign with the Knicks. We have enough capspace to sign another difference-maker in his prime (Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Joe Johnson etc), we have a talented young player who will be better in a couple of years than anybody on the Cavs roster today and we have 2 huge trade assets (Wilson Chandler is trade-bait if LeBron signs with the Knicks). Donnie Walsh has enough flexibility to build a well-balanced championship roster in 1-2 years. The Cavaliers can’t.

Core : LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Danilo Gallinari, Toney Douglas

+ 2 very good players aquired with Chandler and Curry’s contract.
    + 2011 MLE + 2011 1st round draft pick

That equals 8 core players + a bunch of scrubs who can come off the bench every now and then. Deep enough to win a championship in my opinion.

  • Hydr0

Maybe we can hire Mike Brown, he cares about defense…oh wait a second….um forget that idea

  • Hydr0

yeah, because the t-wolves were awesome this year, right?

  • harris

Couldn’t agree more. It really has gotten ridiculous with all these media characters acting like they are in the know on what James will do.

As far as Chris Broussard goes, this is the same guy that I heard say on the radio two months ago that he thought there was a good chance that Bosh will stay with Toronto. Frankly, without knowing anything about Bosh personally, I think there’s probably a better chance of Tiger Woods winning the husband of the year award than there is of Chris Bosh re-signing with Toronto this summer.

Also, didn’t Broussard just write an article a week ago saying that there was no way James is leaving? What happened to all the love that James supposedly has for Akron and his home state?

Everybody is also so quick to write Cleveland off in this series, as if no team has ever come back from a 3-2 deficit in a best of seven. What happens if Cleveland comes back and wins the series like they’re supposed to? Does that mean that James is automatically staying?
Thank goodness this will all be over soon.

  • NashWonder

I Have to disagree there. If he wins 3 or 4 He wouldn’t be labeled that. Magic has 5 rings, Kobe doesn’t is he considered a failure? Bird Has 3 and Russell has 11, is bird considered a failure? If Lebron wins 3 or more rings and has the crazy stats, he’ll have a chance to be labeled the best ever.
