If You’re a Rubio Fan, Root for the Wolves Tonight

“…Kahn has remained coy with his strategy if he does wind up with that pick. Rubio, who played wonderfully for FC Barcelona in the European championship, still has another year in his contract before he can leave for the NBA  and, though Kahn believes Rubio will one day play for Minnesota, there is great speculation that he will be eventually traded and one likely destination is New York. If the Wolves can get Wall, Kahn will have good reason to move Rubio and, according to multiple sources, the Knicks will make every effort to work out a deal.

Another intriguing situation would be if the New Orleans Hornets, who are in the 11th spot in the lottery, somehow come up with a stunning win. They already have Chris Paul and rookie Darren Collison. Would they choose Evan Turner instead? Would they consider dealing Paul and select Wall, whose salary will be far more affordable over the first five years of his contract? If it’s the latter, you can expect the Knicks to jump all over the chance to talk to the Hornets about a deal for Paul…”

I’ve obviously always been of the notion that the team would end up with Rubio. I’m starting to believe, based on the more people with ties to the organization I talk to, that they didn’t move up in the draft for Rubio or Steph Curry because of cap space. And that they knew there was a chance they were going to have to deal that 3 million for cap space. Sure, that’s kind of a conspiracy theory, but think about it every single move Walsh has made has been about cap space. Sure, they brought in Toney Douglas, but that’s only 1 million on the cap for next year. And he’s good.

We’ll see if the Knicks have what it takes to land Rubio, who has stated his intentions of staying overseas having just won a championship…with Walsh in attendence…but it could go a long way in having him be available if the Wolves were to win the lottery.

  • the oak

I have only watched a few quarters of him on NBAtv this year so I really don’t know much about him other than what everyone else says.

With that being said, by the sounds of him as a player, how are we going to get him? Who are we going to trade?Chandler? Would that get it done?

It seems as though if this kid is as good as advertised other teams would be able to put together a better package. I know Kahn and Donnie are close but I don’t know that he takes a worse package because its Donnie.

It’s really all up to Rubio I guess. If he says I’m only coming to the States if it’s to play for the Knicks then Kahn really has no leverage at all. But if that doesn’t happen I don’t see how we get him.

  • the oak

Also the only rooting interest I have in tonights lottery is that the Nets don’t get the 1st pick.

  • itzyung1

If we traded for the rights to Rubio can he play with the Knicks 2010-2011 season?

  • adornoj1

Wolves win and the Nets get the 3rd pick…that would be very nice. So what does it take to get Ricky Rubio?? We already have nothing as it is as far as players to offer (4 under contract, and 3 that matter). Do we package Curry’s contract and Chandler for a role player and the rights to Rubio?? (if thats even possible)

  • http://twitter.com/nykmickey1521/status/14235767421 @nykmickey1521

@TommyDeeTKB tommy I’m a knicks fan and do not wat to see that nets we the #1 pick

  • HaS

I guess I won’t be rooting for the Timberwolves then, I’m not a fan of Rubio.

    I’m still not convinced.

Why trade Chandler for a player who can’t play until 2011-12 and probably won’t be an impact player in the NBA until he plays a couple years in the league?

  • dino2008

im sure there is a way ricky will be able to get out of the contract and play next season or no way walsh trades chandler.

  • dino2008

still, if rubio is not an option, isnt flynn for chandler a fair deal…. they have sessions as the backup and flynn clearly is not a fit there…. he would excel under mike, the garden, and would be the perfect pg for Lebron. not a very good shooter, but still.

  • grahambo86

I thought he had an opt out clause?

  • grahambo86

I spoke too soon without researching.

“ESPN reported that his original buyout with Joventut was €5.7 million ($8.1 million) in both 2009 and 2010.[5] Barça bought out Rubio’s contract for €3.5 million ($5.0 million), and announced on September 1 that he had signed a six-year deal with the club. The contract gives him the option to go to the NBA after the 2010–11 season,[26] with ESPN reporting that the buyout at that time will be a more manageable $1.4 million (of which the Timberwolves can pay $500,000).”

  • traps9

Ew. No, thanks. I love Rubio but I’ll pass on Flynn. Rotf reading about Kahn saying you have to pick the best player available… I subscribe to that, but there’s no way Flynn was #6.

  • Hydr0

Does anyone know what the cap hit would be for Rubio if we get him? He may not even be worth the cap hit, since it could blow the whole 2 max free agent possibility, right?

  • bob go knicks

i heard that rubio is even better than Chris Duhon

  • Mal

Since we have buzzard’s luck I can see Utah with #1 or a top 5 pick.

Rubes if he came to MSG, I think would be a GREAT disappointment, he is not Jose Calderone.

BTW Maybe Lebron can get Eddy to work out with him at Tim Grover’s campsite and talk about making the Knicks shine? Yea right remember what I said buzzard’s luck :(

  • traps9

It’s presumptuous to say, but if anyone can get around it, New York can.

  • grahambo86

In the current CBA, there is a clause that states if Rubio were to play overseas for 3 or more years, he could negotiate past the rookie scale. That CBA ends before Rubio could negotiate a raise, however, and it is widely thought that the new CBA will be worse for players (including foreign draft picks), not better. He will also be two years further away from restricted free agency by playing 2 years in Europe.

  • traps9

    Blasphemy! LOL

  • the oak

NO!!! I would not trade Chandler for Flynn. I’m not a fan of Flynn.

Still can’t believe how badly Kahn screwed up. Drafted Flynn and Rubio. Rubio doesn’t come over and Flynn ends up being about the 7th best rookie pg.

  • bbrody1

well we’d be trading for him so it would likely have little effect on cap depending on what the trade is

  • Chris Alvino

The Jazz can only get 6 possible picks:

    1
    2
    3
    9
    10
    11

“I’m starting to believe, based on the more people with ties to the organization I talk to, that they didn’t move up in the draft for Rubio or Steph Curry because of cap space. And that they knew there was a chance they were going to have to deal that 3 million for cap space. Sure, that’s kind of a conspiracy theory” S T O O O O P plzzz….

No one could have predicted that the t-wolves were going to draft both Flynn and Rubio…… Rubio value was and is not worth the possibility of drafting Flynn and losing Ill Will….so stop it….. That’s more of a reason then anything not to make a move 4 him……………

“If the Wolves can get Wall, Kahn will have good reason to move Rubio and, according to multiple sources, the Knicks will make every effort to work out a deal.”

That’s dumb…… WE don’t have to hope that the t-wolves get Wall to take advantage of this situation….. kahn HOLDS NO WEIGHT in this situation or any PERIOD….were talking about a guy who refuses to play for a team that drafted him and doesn’t have to if he doesn’t want to while making money somewhere else playing ball….plus as we know they not only drafted Flynn but signed session last offseason as well…. Kahn outsmarted himself and made a bigheaded antoni’ish josh mcdaniels type move now HE‘S STUCK……why would you give up any assists for a team in this situation for a unproven point guard that’s slow, and has no athleticism cant d anybody and CANT SHOOT…..ahahaha YOOO wtf……WHO DOES THAT……………

If Walsh stills feels that he’s in a position that he has to trade our best young player “currently” in ILL WILL (for the gallo lovers) 4 dude ….then his name doesn’t ring bells around the league like some would insist or he lost like 50 miles off his fast ball…West, Riley, Thorn would not make this trade………Walsh just gave up last years 8th pick and swapping the 2011 and 2012 for FLEXIBILITY…. .we don’t have a lottery pick this year to turn around and give up any proven young talent(ILL WILL or Gallo) for a unproven talent in last year draft is dumb…… P E R I O D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NoVaCaInE

    Classic!

  • bb_dot

” I’m starting to believe, based on the more people with ties to the organization I talk to, that they didn’t move up in the draft for Rubio or Steph Curry because of cap space.”

yep, how terrible a situation we would find ourselves in if we would have moved up and taken Curry…

  • Hydr0

Chandler makes about $2 million. We can absorb salary since we are under the cap I don’t know what Rubio’s pay will be for this year, but if its $5 million or something (I have no idea what it is, that’s why I’m asking) we would lose $3 million in cap space.

We are very close, with cap holds for roster spots and stuff, that a few million could kill the 2 max possibility. That’s why I was wondering what rubio’s cap hit is exactly. To entince FA’s with him, assuming they believe the hype of course, it would be nice to have him on the team already. You know what I mean?

  • YO SON

Also in My humbled opinion you don’t take 1 step forward just to turn right back around and take 3 steps back……and that’s exactly what walsh would be doing if he traded a young talent on top of giving up so much last season just to turn around and bring in a player like collison WHO HE COULD HAVE DRAFTED who is still UNPROVEN and take back okafors contract…… the purpose of this new found flexibility is to CALLSHOTS AND TO F’ OVER OTHER TEAMS NOT TO GET F’d AGAIN the following year……………………………………………….

  • x-man

Ok, I’m adding you to my list with Biggiesmalls on Sal cap experts or advisors. When is Chandler up for an increase or new contract? 2 million seems kinda small for Chandler!

  • x-man

I don’t know much about Rubio but Curry would have been a great selection. The Fans surely wanted it for sure. Let’s hope our GM has a master plan that he can implement!

I know I would have got one of the pt guards in that draft and if I had to take Hill, I would have demanded my coach be on board and play this dude.

  • dino2008

mike’s system and the garden would do wonders for flynn…. there is no place for chandler here. Gallo, Lebron. Bosh, are all forwards, Lebron is not a pg idc about the system he is not a pg. I would move chandler for flynn if possible. flynn is just in the wrong situation in minny imo.

  • bb_dot

I totally agree. I still can’t get over the fact how we ended up with no PG last year, being told Hill was the best talent and then trade him away..

I thought for sure there was a back-up plan to get Rubio somehow from Kahn, but that turned out to be just wishful thinking..

KNICKS SEASON TICKETS PARTNER WANTED. – FACE VALUE

Due to how difficult it’ll be to get tickets after we get Lebron (which i really think we will), I just bought tickets in Center Court Section 334. But unfortunately I cannot afford them all. The Knicks are only selling full season tickets so it was my only choice.

If you want to get tickets while you still can, I will sell you 10-25 games of my season ticket package for FACE VALUE ($74 per ticket).

If interested, please contact me at 845-258-8655 or gocrushit@yahoo.com, and let me know how many tickets you’d like. Tickets cost: $74 X the number of tickets X the amount of games you want. We can set-up a payment plan.

  • VOR

YO SON, I’ve just put you on my short list of Cats who “GET IT!” Walsh has his list of those who “get it”, which of course i have failed to make, though Tommy have made it and as you can see is Walsh’s biggest propagandizing supporter-”That’s why in the past I’ve made reference to him as being another “Bagdad Bob”, though now the name “brown nose Bob” is becoming more applicable!

  • x-man

So True! Curry had the pedigree to be a NY guy for sure. When needed a pg guard in the worst way. Also, Curry had the sweet jumper for a pt guard that was ideal for us.

Have you seen Rubio play? I haven’t or I don’t recall so I’m really curious on how good he really is. I read where someone stated that he’s better than Duhon. hahahahahaha

  • VOR

+1 !!! Flynn would be the perfect and missing piece to MD’s 7SOL offense and the Garden’s search for a lead PG to play off the ball on occasion! Plus he’s from NY!!!

  • bb_dot

I just watched clips here and there of Rubio and the game against the USA. His big plus seems to be court vision and leadership at an early age. He needs to become stronger to compete in the NBA. I’m intrigued by him but as others have said, he is a wild card. Curry was my vote last draft and he turned out to be better than expected so far..

  • DVJ

Just so certain individuals are aware….if the Knicks would’ve taken a PG in the draft last year, we wouldn’t have enough cap space for 2 max players now.
That cap space is going to be the difference in Lebron signing with us and him signing some place else.
Lebron Bosh Gallo and Chandler is better than Lebron Rose Deng and Noah.

Again I want to reiterate this….why hasn’t anybody spoke about Walsh when he said he has the option to sign 2 max players while resigning David Lee? Walsh said this in his interview on Sunday.

  • YO SON

    Yo its unbelievable VOR………

  • Starksfor3

Regardless of where LeBron ends up, Donnie Walsh needs to address the gaping hole at point guard first.

  • x-man

Thx and we’re in total agreement about Curry! Who would have thought we would have the worse Curry? Nevermind, don’t answer that. lol

  • VOR

Also remember when Flynn played at Syracuse he played that up tempo/spread/high-low offense where he got the ball to his wings efficiently and effectively. As their lead PG he showed to a lot of GM’s that he could run a team. That’s why he was picked even before the likes of Curry, Jennings and Holliday! Then that bone head GM of Minnesota pick a coach whose system was the triangle offense! How that guy haven’t been fired yet I’ll never know!

  • young hova

Breakdown of Knicks payroll, as well as rest of league. Very useful reference tool

    http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

  • x-man

Dude, It’s about making your team better not having a possible 2 max player chance card!

So if we would traded up to land Curry, we would be worse off than we are now? YIKES!

Now you have inserted LBJ and Bosh into our lineup like it’s a given! DVJ, crawl back and grab Shirley MacClaine’s hand dude. You’re really out there playa!

  • x-man

Wow! Thx alot! You’re now on the list as well. Now I can say this with gusto. Curry is killing the cap! lol

  • VOR

What Rondo would do to Rubio is not legal in the United States!

  • x-man

    +1

  • DVJ

I personally think that Chris Bosh and Lebron James will end up playing together next year.

It’s been proven that championship teams need to dominate the perimeter and under the basket. Every championship team in the last 15 years except the Pistons have had this combination. I don’t expect it to change anytime soon. Lebron and Bosh both know this I feel.

  • bb_dot

pistons kind of had it with Wallace as well…
but explain this to me: you are pointing to an interview where Walsh can sign 2 max + Lee. But we couldnt have 2 max + Curry?? what kind of math is that?

  • x-man

So who is the pg in your fictional scenario? LBJ had two above 7 footers at Center and a PF at 6-11 who could play center in Cleveland already.

Now you’re saying he wants to team with Snoop Dawg and Earl Barron to go get that ring?

I truly would luv to believe this but DVJ, you’re setting me up like Papelbon did to me with the Red Sox leading the Yanks by 2 turns in the bottom of the 9th. As a Mets fan, there no joy in mudville!

  • YO SON

For the Walsh supporters who think the moves made last year were the ONLY way that we could have gotten under the salary cap are conveniently neglecting the fact that walsh could have traded jj contract last year along with 1 of antoni most hated ….Nate Robison last year to Sacramento but was trying to squeeze a first round draft pick out of the deal but sac didn’t budge (read the report for days from Alan Hahn as My source)…..which forced us giving up so much last year 2 be able to get 2 max free agents this year as well as resign lee(I’ll pass… just saying) according to walsh………

  • x-man

lmao! Baghdad Bob is one of my favorites! That’s a great analogy! I swear that na,es fits perfectly for DVJ! lol

  • DVJ

    Thank you bb_dot!!!!

I’m glad you asked about it.

If you have time please check out the interview. It’s about 20 minutes so I don’t know if your at work or something but it’s definitely worth a listen. I’m surprised Tommy hasn’t posted it or even broached the subject.

If Walsh can keep Lee…that completely changes everything.
Lee, Gallo, Chandler and 2nd Max (Bosh) is more than enough to make Lebron leave Cleveland.

Everyday that passes, Walsh is looking more and more like a genius.

Here’s the link to the interview.

  • bbrody1

rookie contracts are done on a scale so if Rubio signs his rookie contract with the Wolves it has to be done 80-120 percent of 2.7 million.

if chandler was the trade it wouldn’t have much effect on cap room – also the trade could be done after signing two max contracts.

correct if im wrong by all means (can rubio sign as a free agent?? no right, because he was drafted)

there’s always ways of making trades matching up to by involving recent pics, other pieces etc.

  • oscar f

He didn’t say that they can sign 2 max’s and Lee, he said he has the option to sign 2 maxs or a max with Lee. Signing 2 max contracts and Lee would be impossible unless Lee is playing for 1 or 2 mil per or Bosh, LBJ, and Lee are going to split 30 mil evenly. If you think he said that then please explain how that works.

  • x-man

I’m with ya DVJ. If Tommy takes his hands out of your back, he could do double the work! lol

You still have no starting pt guard in your scenario!

  • x-man

Ah man, there goes another Arod HR in the bottom of the 9th to win the game! D-a-m-n ya DVJ!

  • HaS

I heard this the other day and I didn’t hear those exact words from him, but from a strictly mathematical standpoint and based on the rules I think if he implied that he may have misspoken.

It’s not possible unless _avi_ has changed his mind about not taking a discount or he gets 0 offers this summer.

Either way I truly couldn’t bear to watch Lee play what he called defense this year again.

  • Gonzo

I’ll admit I have not watched a ton of Rubio but I watched virtually every game of his in this past olympics and I was thoroughly impressed. The thing that sticks out the most is that he is crafty on a whole nother level. Think Steve Nash Court Vision. He was aware of the entire court at all times on an olympic level…and he was 16. When he and CP3 played against eachother it was like they were on the same level intellectually.

He does have some flaws though. He is big and deceptively strong but he is slow. In the NBA a slow PG is asking for trouble. Especially since, as someone pointed out earlier, we have to deal with Rondo 4 times a year minimum. Rondo would simply blaze Rubio, and no matter how big a fan of him I am there is no way around admitting it.

He also isn’t a very good shooter. Like _ason Kidd back in the day, he can make an impact with other means of his game that isn’t a jumper but when the jumper is called for he is simply lacking. I think D’antoni, even though most of you hate him, can really help improve this. He has been known for his entire career, and even some of you can’t deny this, as a great shooting coach. I think him and Rubio can be a deadly combo in making him a well above average PG, but I think his lack of athleticism will keep him from ever truly being “elite.”

  • BiggieSmalls

if he reaches a buyout with the Spanish team

  • BiggieSmalls

His salary slot would count on our cap for the off season.. then in season he would not./

His slot as the 5th pick is around 4 mil.

  • HaS

Are you talking about _an _’antoni or Mike _’antoni?

I’m pretty sure Mike isn’t a “shooting coach” he thinks he’s above speaking directly to all of his players individually, so I highly doubt he’s conducting individual shooting drills with poor jumpshooters.

    No shots.

  • HaS

That was in response to Gonzo’s post, I agree with your reasoning on why Rubio would struggle (at least initially) in the NBA btw.

  • HaS

I just skimmed through it again, he mentions keeping _avi_, signing 2 max players or signing 3-4 players as separate possibilities/options.

Listen to again and skip to about the 10:15 mark if you want to listen to it again.

  • BiggieSmalls

how can you sign TWO max players AND resign Lee?

    Not possible. ..

  • VOR

x-man, You kill me man. You and DVJ. Just like Bug’s Bunny and Daffy Duck. You have to stop abusing that Cat man!

  • bb_dot

I just listened to it. Walsh does say “lee+2 max”. But clearly something has to give here. Either he misspoke or Lee will take a sever pay-cut, which is not going to happen..

  • Gonzo

Actually I was referring to both. Dan D’antoni is the actual one who does the shooting drills and works on mechanics with players, David Lee is a shining example of what he can do (also could see improvements in Sergio’s 3 towards the end of the year because it used to be horrendous). Mike gets credit cause he hired Dan, but if Mike is our head coach Dan will be teaching our players how to hit jumpers. I think he could really do wonders with Rubio’s shot, which would just make Rubio more lethal as he can already finish in a variety of ways in the paint at a very efficient clip.

I think Rubio would be a good bet for us to take but honestly he would be a high risk/high reward type gamble. He is extremely talented but can he overcome the lack of athleticism?

  • k-hodge

Yo Son – I hear you. Although Hahn reported that the trade to Sacramento wasn’t really on the table, it was just a rumor. Donnie said it didn’t have any substance. With regard to Collison, he’s definitely a nice young player that we could have had, but one has to wonder would he be the SAME player had he not been under the wing of Chris Paul for a few months. Donnie has to take it on the chin for last years draft and not coming away with a top PG prospect in a draft that was exceptionally deep at that position. Although, that being said, most mock drafts had Jordan Hill going before we picked, which means he was projected to be the best talent on the board and a safe pick. Welcome to the crap shoot..Just food for thought. LOL

  • BiggieSmalls

    just listened..

DW talks about OPTIONS.. keep Lee(COMMA) sign two max players (COMMA) sign 3 or 4 guys..

TKB sleeping at the missing this one… So much for presidency of the Donnie fan club.

  • DVJ

I don’t know what he meant all I know is what he said. I also know that there are hundreds of little intricacies in the CBA that are considered loopholes. I can almost guarantee anything that Donnie and his team know all of them.

    We’ll see

    Stay Patient My Friends

  • VOR

The “back-up PG” in the Euro’s championship game sent Rubio to the bench! Again i say what Rondo and just about every starting PG in the NBA would do to Rubio is not legal in the United States! This Cat Rubio is a back-up PG!

  • HaS

He’s an executive, not Merlin the Magician.

  • Gonzo

The “back-up PG” is Patrick Beverly. I think you should watch the game because it is very telling. Beverly does initally just speed past Rubio on I think(If I remember correctly) 3 straight possesions. Rubio adjusts however and Beverely slows down and is controlled. Rubio was “benched” because he averaged 20 mins a game for the best team in Europe. He player 19 in the chamipionship, not much off his average. I won’t deny he had a very poor game. Tough night with high turnover rate and low shooting percentage, but Beverely did not send Rubio to the bench. Beverely played very well and Rubio did not but was sent to the bench because he is very young and does not get very many minutes, as is typical in Europe. (how many minutes did Jennings get?)

  • HaS

    Stay Realistic My Friends

  • x-man

lol DVJ is sheer fun man! He’s like Alice in Wonderland! Only thing is we still have the Jabberwocky as our coach!

  • blackwood

Lmaooo VOR….it would be ugly, I wish this kid Rubio the best but the hype that is being thrown on him may very well destroy him before he even gets a shot to play.

  • Mal
  • VOR

Why are you trying to put Jennings in this conversation? Jennings have already show what he can do…period! And yes i did see the game, the whole game, and whether Rubio had reach his limit at that time or not Beverly was not only getting the best of him but he was taking the ball away from him, or as you whether see it forcing Rubio into those turnovers! I would mention to you that you go back and checked the game out again, even the Cats who were broadcasting the game and commentating on it mention that Rubio was having trouble because it was so obvious! And remember his troubles were being cause by a”back-up Euro PG who couldn’t even ride on an NBA bench!”

  • blackwood

Glad to be back in my city, hey guys seems I got back in time for a fun topic!!
Ok Rubio hype again, The guy is a good player but is very limited in a lot of ways. What would be the major diff between Rubio and say Sergio who we watched this year other then age. Do you think it was once believed he would develop a better jumper and all the other things that people want to believe Rubio would develop in time. He is a gamble not a given & that is what is not being made clear. Yes there are plenty of other players who fall under that same flag but lets be honest the eye test along with a sense of talent and what not tells you who will be real players for the most part. But I say rather then waste an asset on a maybe why not just buy another 2rd pick and gamble while taking less risk?

We could buy another 2nd rd pick and draft Alexey Shved and stash him in europe for another year without losing an asset, if you dont know him you should he had GM’s crazy over him since he was 18 has a way better jumper is 6’5 really good handle and court vision but is still sharpening his skills which is the same exact thing we would need Rubio to do except for Rubio it would be his jumper.

Or we can try a less hyped trade with the wolves and try to get Nikola Pekovic. A very skilled big from europe who will never play for them.

In the end I dont see giving up something we know and have for a maybe a big maybe because damn a bad shooter from europe??? lol it seems like thats the first thing they learn! lol

  • blackwood

here is a sample of Alexey Shved his basic skill sets……

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkAo1WFHnpA&feature=related

  • x-man

I like his size but I can’t tell much from the link since it doesn’t show how quick he is. But I agree with your assessment above. Call Donnie and demand a job NOW! lol

  • blackwood

LOL thanks X! I will see about submitting my resume and see what happens lol. I would not mind working in the scouting dept. traveling the world digging up talent for the Knicks!! Would be a dream job as long as it pays enough for me to still afford to still live in Manhattan! lol

As you know I am all in on using our 2 second rd picks on Randle & Pittman but shoot go on and buy another or two more if you can and stash Alexey Shved over there let him get better bigger stronger, take another and snatch another big if your going to gamble at least be smart enough to minimize your risk! You know me im all about depth and skill sets and thinking outside of the box.

I hear you K but what else is he going to say….I f’d up..I mean how many times is this guy going to admit that he shoulda woulda coulda….I don’t think Alan is the type to just report things that are untrue he does his due diligence…even with that said let’s say it was a rumor ….we have to believe that he was going to sign sessions kidd or hill…so if he signed one of those guys last offseason even after the j hill trade there’s no way we could sign 2 max contracts….and if kidd wanted to be a Knick he would have been a Knick…walsh was on record saying he’s glad that kidd didn’t sign.so if he signed Kidd that trade is mute

Black, What’s up man? Yeah man the Cats jumper look as pure as mine! But i don’t see the speed he would need to guard NBA PGs. Also do you see him as being better than Grevis Vasquez, cause i don’t. Though not that I’m all about getting Grevis here. Though i do believe Grevis can back up at the 1 and 2. By the way what about if Minnesota win the #1 pick, what about the Knicks dangling Will for Flynn? The 3 Cats i wanted last year was Jennings-1, Curry-2, and Flynn-3. So I would love to get Flynn! If Walsh want me off his A$$ all he have to do is get me my man Flynn!

What up VOR!! Work had me on the left coast but im back. The reason I bring dude up was more of an example of how the Rubio hype is not really true talk. This kid right here far less over all hype but all the so called potential that Rubio got along with a water jumper. So IMO it would be stupid to give up Will for Rubio when we can get what is a better over all player in Alexey Shved.

See I like Grevis tenacity the dude gets his grind on! He may not be the best dude on the court but he go’s all out and has an impact one way or another, I just think we already seen his best game. I just dont see him getting better you know what I mean.

Flynn is good I rather him then Grevis but I cant see trading will for him. First reason why is because right now he is our SF the LBJ thing is just talk so far. Second I would need more, now maybe Flynn and Nikola Pekovic and we can start talking! Im just sick of the Knicks getting the short end of the deal!! My whole thing is you need to hustle smarter not harder and it is small moves like forcing them to add Nikola Pekovic that makes your team better in the long run.

Plus you know I love Randle for our PG so I would be shook to have two small PG”s lol need that size off the bench.

  • VOR

I feel what your saying Black, But Randle might go early in the 2nd round to either Sacramento or Milwaukee (Milwaukee has Philly’s 2nd round pick). Also Flynn is the same size as CP3 only with about 10-15 more lbs. Would i take Randle over Flynn maybe, but Flynn might be available where by Randle might be gone! Either way man if i owned the Knicks i would give you more power than what Dolan have given Walsh, only if you trade my 1st round draft pick i would have to Donald Trump you man!

  • Knicks4life

In DVJ’s world it is possible.

  • VOR

Well i guess Flynn won’t be available after all!

  • blackwood

HAHAHAHA!!!! Screw the Nets lmaoooo!! That being said let me Let me reply to my homie VOR!

You are right which is why I would look to try and buy one of the top 3 second rd pics even if I had to pay a little more. Yea but based on how things turned out Flynn is a no go I think. You already know I would not trade a lottery pick unless im getting better not for a “maybe” lol

  • YO SON

YO NOBODY MENTIONED FLYNN TILL I DID iN REGARDS TO D R A F T I N G H I Mand instead u used it for ur own purpose and once again agree to do dumb sht like trade ur best 2 way player for a guy whose team is stuck with 3point guards and u guys throw pluses behind it……unbelivable……….
