if anyone hasnt seen “More Than A Game” they need to go find a copy and watch it..

It’s the movie producted by Jimmy Iovine and Lebron documenting Lebron’s high school experience at SVSM..

Now keep in mind LBJ was the Executive Producer on this and had significant creative control..

A good portion of the piece is focused on how LNJ was a vertiable outcast in Akron in his Senior year. People in Ohio were very suspicious of how he was wearing custom kicks and driving an H2 and had two cell phones. In fact, in one sene LBJ leaves a restaurant when he is being heckled.

THe movie also documents how the James family moved around a lot and never really had any home for a large portion of LBJ’s childhood..

You have 17 days to watch it and jump on board the LBJ to NYC back wagon..

sorry for the misspellings.. but after watching the movie it is crystal clear that what LBJ wants is bigger than what Ohio can offer and while it is his “home” his inner circle can move with him anywhere as he has very few roots laid down in Akron.

And the “Akron, OH experience” was not all rose petals and coronations.

agreed Biggie. That was a very solid movie, and he clearly wasn’t treated greatly for a while.

Poor LeBron. It must have been tough to be driving around a Hummer before signing his first professional contract. The money he’s earned (and will earn) can’t possibly negate all of the bad memories.

I’d love to see the guy with the Knicks, but frankly am getting tired of his seemingly incessant need for attention. Go out and win something before worrying about the documentaries.

    Great points Biggie…..

    This was a good movie.

Since when was winning a pre-requisite for making a movie about your high school.

and the movie was about the team’s journey together..watch it it’s good.

if anything blame a certain network for televising his HS games. SMH.

  • harris

I hear you on your comment regarding the network.

ILeBron is an individual constantly looking for attention. That probably is a good thing for the Knicks. No better place than NY,
    NY for that.

    I’ll check out the movie.

    good call..

The movie wasnt really all about Lebron

Separately, It was cool to see him play off the ball the majority of the time.
There was talk of Dru Joyce getting an invite to Knicks Summer league. (he’s playing in Europe with another of LBJ’s former HS team mates.)
