@JonRothstein: Just got the phone with an #NBA GM who told me it's a formality @chrisbosh will sign with the #Heat....

Maybe according to MSG College Hoops’ Jon Rothstein…but, and I say this with all due respect, how does he know that when nobody else is willing to put their name on such a report?  It’s bizarre that nobody from, I don’t know, the Miami Herald is reporting this, but that Rothstein has the inside knowledge.

The rumors won’t stop buzzing until the ink on all these guys’ deals is dry…

your bugging now HaS, boozer is a hustler (great hands and very agressive) he’s like an “oak” type of player with his physicality

I agree with Has here. Noah would be more valuable than Lee on a championship team IMO.

That is not a real knock on Lee though. Lee is a great rebounder and has some serious offensive skill. But defense wins championships and Lee has been less than apathetic in his defensive play.

I like Boozer much more than HaS I’m guessing, but there is no way he is remotely comparable to Oakley. He plays very little defense, but I guess compared to Lee he is Oakley-like lol.

And I agree Noah has become somewhat overrated because of a good playoff series. And that takes nothing away from Noah, who is a good young player who can grow more. But offensively speaking, he is close to useless as far as a post presence goes, but he’s a good finisher off pick and rolls and is developing a jumper more and more.

Defensively he is very good, if a little on the small side compared to guys like Perkins and Bynum.

I agree he is not as good as some on here make him out to be, but he’s a good young player who can develop more, and one who I would take in a millisecond over David Lee at this point. And that is a knock on Lee.

    Dino,

Atlanta will sign and trade Joe Johnson, if there is a benefit. I just don’t see them spending 11.3 million for Eddy Curry, under the circumstance of getting even Gallo and Chandler.

For instance would you trade sign and trade David Lee for Peja (15.3 million) and Collison? I don’t think any Knick fan would agree to do that. We are willing to let Lee walk away. No one is saying we’ve got to get something for David Lee. It’s more like don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Toronto could just get back draft picks, Miami owns Toronto’s pick next year, and a trade exception. They don’t need to match salary because they are taking back less.

y doesnt walsh trade eddy curry’s contract to portland for brandon roy and greg oden.. tht would give us a little more then a million in cap space nd we aquire a shooting gaurd nd a center.. roy is prob the 2nd best shooting gaurd in the league after kobe.. nd oden has potentiall to be a great center in the years too come, he just is battling thru injuries. once healthy oden is a monster.. plus we would have more money to sign 2 max’s

    Lineup..
    Pg-Bron-Td
    Sg-Roy – rautins
    Sf-Gallo-Chandler-fields
    Pf-Bosh- garcia
    C-Oden-jordan-barron

tht is a lineup tht would be impossible too beat and plus the knicks would still have more then a million too spend in cap space.
