Where Will They Land: TKB Predictions

by Ben Kopelman on July 1st, 2010 at 1:18 am

A source close to TKB tells us that one GM is positive that he has no idea what will happen once the clock strikes midnight.

The staff here, however, have their own predictions:

Chris Alvino says:

  • LeBron – New York
  • Wade –  Miami
  • Bosh – Miami
  • Joe Johnson – Chicago
  • Amare – Chicago

Myles A. Mills says:

  • Lebron – Cleveland
  • Wade – Miami
  • Bosh – L.A. Lakers
  • Joe Johnson – New York
  • Amare – New York

Ben Kopelman says:

  • LeBron – New York
  • Wade – Maimi
  • Bosh – Miami
  • Joe Johnson – New York
  • Amare – Chicago

whats with TKBs new look? my eyes are hurtin…

Of all the TKB staff, I find myself disagreeing with Myles the most, but on this I agree 100% with him. Im a huge Knick fan, but saying Lebron is being just optimistic.

And im not too happy about JJ & Amare, but its what I see the Knicks getting from a non-fan point of view

    Myles Lakers really??

There’s no reply to comment and nesting on this new layout?

I guess its kind of nice to be able to know where to scroll down to to find the most recent comments, but I liked the nesting much better. Much easier to keep up with arguments imo.

this new layout kinda sucks an there isn’t any more replying to comments..

come on guys of tkb step it up..

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

    my prediction
lee N al both back with the knicks

everything else is a toss up

  • ds2488

lol Dagawd. Everytime you write something about Al Chucketts being back I die a little on the inside. That is the absolute worst scenario for me. I would rather see Starbury, Jared Jeffries, and Jerome James again before I see Al Chucketts back

    JD Adande’s prediction :

    James – Bulls
    Bosh – Bulls

The Chicago Bulls will not have enough capspace to sign 2 max FA even after the Kirk Hinrich trade but it doesn’t matter apparently… ESPN is a joke.

  • ds2488

Mucha, this is what I don’t get and hate about ESPN. They are hyping up the 2 free agent thing for Chicago and it’s not even a possibility right?

I mean, they would have to trade Luol Deng right? Throwing his name into sign and trades is more ridiculous than people just assuming Curry will get us Monta Ellis or assuming that Bosh will automatically come with Lebron or whatever.

It’s got to be close to impossible to trade Deng right? I’d rather let a max free agent walk then take on his contract, and I would think most teams would agree with that.

  • Mucha

    Optimistic :

    LeBron James – Knicks
    Dwyane Wade – Heat
    Chris Bosh – Knicks
    Amare Stoudemire – Heat
    Joe Johnson – Hawks
    David Lee – Nets/Bulls
    Rudy Gay – Nets/Bulls

    Skeptical :

    LeBron James – Bulls
    Dwyane Wade – Heat
    Chris Bosh – Heat
    Amare Stoudemire – Knicks
    Joe Johnson – Knicks
    David Lee – Bulls
    Rudy Gay – Nets

    +1 ds…

Espn is a joke. They had free agent summit also. Its so easy for them to dismiss the knicks as long as nothing has happened yet. It’s funny though, I feel like some of them are starting to come around slowly. I can’t remember a time when the sports media has been so bad. From the playoff predictions to free agency, it seems like these so called experts don’t do their homework. Maybe alot of them forgot its investigative reporting. They won’t stand by what they say, I saw their predictions on their website and they all are 50/50 on where just about anybody goes. I digress…

I usually read this blog when you’re all asleep. Liked the old format better. Don’t try to fix what isn’t broken. It’ll be interesting to see who we get on the team for next year. I had to laugh at all the negative comments after the draft. None of us were there to see the workouts or interviews. We also don’t really know the criteria that was being used to make the selections. Certain players were continually hyped in the media and when we didn’t pick them there was outrage everywhere. I think we did alright. Rautins obviously can shoot and brings intensity. Fields looks like an athlete and had outstanding college numbers. Jordan could get some minutes this year at center. Just picking a guy because of hype is ridiculous (Warren, Stephenson). I would like to move forward with TD, Gallo, Will and Walker plus whoever we get in free agency. I think all 4 of those players will improve over the coming season. Walker realises that he has a real opportunity here, as he’s lost a lot of weight and should hit camp in shape. I wouldn’t mind giving Giddens a good look to see if he could be a contributor if we have room under the cap.

  • Marzak

LeBron – Knicks (heart says Knicks head says Bulls or Cavs)
    Stoudemire – Knicks
    Wade – Heat
    Bosh – Heat
Johnson – Bulls, Nets or Knicks if they don’t get Lebron
    Boozer – Bulls
    Lee – Nets
    Gay – Clippers
    Dirk – Mavs
    Pierce – Celtics
Jefferson – Clippers if Gay gets matched if not then Suns or Heat

If Lebron doesn’t go to the Knicks then it’s either sign J.Johnson or trades for Monta Ellis or Arenas. Then trade for Carmelo at the deadline or sign this time next year.

Walsh would be crazy not to go after Bosh first. Team has nothing up front and Amar’e is just a scorer and I don’t want him here — his D sux and knee a time bomb. Mike Miller would be a good 2 guard 3rd man.
