Anybody think Jerome Jordan can be that “Dirty Work” Player?

  • http://www.nleastchatter.com/realdirtymets/ CaseStreet

    Good stuff. I’m excited.
Though I wish there was a way to keep Lee. He’s good on both sides.

  • knicksallday

I’m happy!! I don’t want LeBron man!!! I really don’t.. I hope Pat gets shut out… OHHHHHHH I would jump for joy!

  • Jeff C

I notice a lot of people are under the impression that it’s stupid to pay amare all that money when we could have Lee for much cheaper. On the surface, they appear to do the same thing. What you have to realize, however, is that Lee did what he did because we put him in that situation, at center, (and point guard lol). He cannot play center… Having Lee at the 5 with no real bodies at the 4 either, means you are completely outmatched on the defensive end night in and night out. Amare might be similar to Lee (accept amare is capable of dropping 30 on any night and Lee is not), but he can play the 5 for us, and that is a huge, HUGE upgrade over Lee, in ways you can’t see on paper.

Also, I think lebron has proved he’s perfectly healthy. He has been the most explosive big man in the leauge SINCE his knee surgery and hasn’t missed games since. And the eye thing is moot. I think he’s better with goggles anyway.

  • Jeff C

i meant amare, not lebron, obviously.

By the way, attention TKB editors! The new site is thoroughly screwed up! Try pressing the down arrow on you key bord and it develops a mind of its own.

  • itzyung1

As long as he wears the Goggles his eyes are good, thats what the doctors said and thats what he said..
There is nothing to worry about we didn’t kill two years to blow it.
Mike And Donnie know what they are doing you people don’t!

  • Dylan

I think playing center actually helped Lee on offense. He was quick enough to get around the bigger centers, so they wouldn’t contest his outside shot. If he was playing PF, I don’t think his stats would be as pretty. He basically just took advantage of bigger and slower centers. His rebounding numbers were also meant literally nothing. Barron came in and had like 18 rebounds in a game. Plus, Amare is much better in the P&R and he blocks shots.

  • bbrody1

    turn lee-curry into jefferson-rubio-brewer

  • gianthinker

First let me say I’m thrilled (knock on wood) it sounds like we’re getting Amare.

That being said, I find it funny the Amare haters are all for giving Wade a boat load of money but not Amare. Now, Wade is on another level of skill so I’m not arguing that but he’s also taken an equally if not worse beating on his body throughout his career. I honestly find it amazing Wade is still playing at the level he is with how he abuses his body. He reminds me of A.I. in that way and I worry Wade’s body might hold and then give up all at once on him like A.I.’s did.

That being said, I’d take Wade. However, he’s going back to Miami.

  • gianthinker

    Brewer is a FA.

  • feramorz

I think Wade is going back to Miami too. But Riley must be worried a bit, don’t you think. Wade said he’s intrigued by the Knicks. I believe Miami will have a good off-season, but would definitely have ecstatic schadenfreude if Riley strikes out, and we get Wade and Amare.

  • PE33_AH20

Does anyone realize that Amare averaged 29.9ppg 10rpg 2bpg in the playoffs out west and was 1st team All-NBA? Bosh hasn’t even sniffed 3rd team All-NBA.

And as far as being ‘soft’, I don’t remember anyone ever publicly refer to Amare as a transvestite.

Bosh is not a better player.

  • PickNY

That kid Charles Garcia is a great rebounder and can get minutes.

  • jg1170

“And as far as being ‘soft’, I don’t remember anyone ever publicly refer to Amare as a transvestite.”

LOL, who said that about Bosh?

Funny thing is as soon as I read it I said to myself, Yea!!!!

    LOL

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

the knicks don’t even have jordan that deal is yet to be official mayb july 8 it will

  • PickNY

I forgot to mention that Garcia is CHEAP, and why not start developing your own to become that rebounding force. The kid do have some skills from being a guard and getting up and down the court and he grew 7 inches. His numbers went down to due to forcing the issue playing on a bad team, and we all know playing on a bad team can cause players to be selfish!

  • feramorz

I don’t watch ESPN anymore, so I don’t know if he’s on the broadcast, but I’ve noticed no written reports from Broussard since he had the scoop on the secret meeting that wasn’t the other day. Wonder if his source was Wesley all along, and now that Wesley’s out, he’s got nothing.

  • PickNY

    Dude,

Stop speeding out! Dang, you act like you never had anything before. Got to wait for the Maggot man medical records to be finalized.

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

shaq said BOSH is the ru-paul of basketball

  • PE33_AH20

Shaq called Bosh ‘the Rupaul of NBA big men’
    Bosh’s respnose was …*crickets*

  • bb_dot

well, Bosh posed as the Cowboy Cheerleader…

  • bb_dot

I thought Bosh was making a documentary, Now it’s Wade?? Misspoken or do they both make docs?

on second thought.. who cares lol

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

the suns most likely S%t amare they wouldn’t wants players in return just the trade exception an picks

  • CircleLimit4

“As long as he wears the Goggles his eyes are good, thats what the doctors said and thats what he said.”

I’m more concerned about the knee.

“There is nothing to worry about we didn’t kill two years to blow it.”

    Knock. On. Wood.

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

he is thats why he didn’t say nothing

  • JeffM729

Amare averaged 22.2 points, 1.5 blocks, and 6.6 rebounds in the playoffs this year. You are talking about 2004-05 before he had the knee and eye trouble.

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/stoudam01.html

  • PE33_AH20

Exactly, Bosh is overrated. He’s soft and the only things he’s got over Amare is his effort rebounding and a clean medical history.

  • Dylan

    Alan Hahn:
“Bosh and Knicks still meeting, now almost two hours. Knicks packed up their gear an hour ago but Walsh, Bosh, etc. still talking.”

VERY interesting! I guess Amare to the Knicks isn’t a done deal yet. Otherwise, there is no reason to meet for that long!

  • PE33_AH20

Yes I was talking about ’05. He got those numbers playing for MDT. After his surgeries, the way he looked at the end of this year he can put up good numbers for MDT.

And I brought up the stats to show that in the weak frontcourts of the East Bosh could not crack 3rd team All-NBA in his 7 seasons.

  • dino2008

Im not sure if you guys listen to the knicks blog radio but a while back….

anthony rice balls said he knows someone in raptors organization (or somethin along those lines) that said they are very scared about bosh’s knees.

amare is a well worth it. he is better suited for mikes sysem and better for king james too.

  • PE33_AH20

Bosh is not better than Amare, he’s just more important right now because he’s a good friend of LeBron and Wade.

  • gianthinker

Thats interesting because sprungonsports has this twitter news —->

    3:30 p.m. Eastern
-Chris Bosh’s Knicks meeting ended after just over an hour. Bosh must have not been happy that the Knicks are about to fill his position.

  • gianthinker

    AlexKennedyNBA

Source close to Amare Stoudemire on whether or not a second big name player will be joining him in New York: “We’re hoping. We’ll see.”

    —————

Sure sounds like Amare is a done deal to me. ;-)

  • shivermetimbers

I like Lee too, but I never seen him play like this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu05b7tkVjU

fingers are crossed – come on Amare/LBJ

  • gianthinker

    4:10 p.m. Eastern
-Chris Bosh is still talking with Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni after more than two hours.
-There’s no Monday deadline for LeBron’s decision but he’d like to get something done soon.

  • Rome1988

He doesn’t bang down low with the big boys and men…How about Mac Koshwal from Depaul?

  • Rome1988

I agree. If Mike D can make Lee an all star than wonders can be done when building a roster that he envisions. We played bad D because no motivation and we had low IQ players…In this day in age coaches come and go why would Mike D risk his job by not preaching defense too…He even said it after each press conference team lacked quality D.

  • Rome1988

He deserves to have his ass sitting at home with no sources.

  • Rome1988

Maybe Bosh, Lebron, and Amare all sign with the Knicks. They take 11.5 million this year…until Curry’s contract is off the books. The NY market will double their net profits

  • JeffM729

I’m figuring David Lee will be a Net. If the Nets are trying to win New York Knicks fans, they can throw David Lee up on that poster with JayZ and Prokhorov. He will be worth more to the Nets than anyone else. Maybe they even sign N8 as well.

As far as Amare versus Bosh, Amare might be better today and Bosh better in years 3-4-5.

Bosh is still meeting with the Knicks and Amare doesn’t yet have a deal. It’s still all up in the air.

  • Rome1988

omg imagine in the Garden Lol

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

thats nothing those are after knee an eye surgery i loved amare b4 those surgeries he was a monster now he’s just a lil pussycat

  • Rome1988

I love Lee I hope he atleast goes to a contender in the West not the freaking shitty ass Nets. He is going to get paid, he deserves it.

  • PhilKnick

lebron will realize that the pick and roll with Amare, plus shooters equals numerous rings in NY! Gallinari is the 3rd stud on this team or we can sign Melo next year if LB won’t come. Maybe Lee will stay as the 4 with Amare, but I think he will get paid better by the Nets, unless he wants to stay with us?
