@PDcavsinsider: Also, can confirm several reports of a rift between Wes Wesley & James camp. Wes was indeed pushing Chicago, I'm told.

Jul 6, 2010 @ 03:12 AM from TweetDeck

The idea that Wes has been boxed out of the inner circle is something that has been talked about for the last week or so. People I’ve spoken to have said similar things about Wes pushing Chicago. I’ve talked to another person who said that Maverick Carter will be in town Wednesday. I can’t say for sure if it’s for personal reasons, or for a meeting with either the Knicks or Nets…will keep digging.

The key to this whole thing as been the decision of Chris Bosh. Do the Cavs have what it takes to deal with Toronto? Does Bosh get paid and head for Ohio? Or does he head to South Beach with Wade? Does he join Wade in Chicago?

The best move for both he and Toronto would be a sign and trade to Houston. Bosh is from Dallas and he’s made it clear in NY that he’s a kid from the South. It seems all signs i’m getting indicate that the Bosh/Wade team in South Beach is far from a given.

Where does that leave NJ? Would Bosh consider teaming with James in NJ for less than the max?

Again, all these questions have answers. And things will start to unravel once Chris Bosh makes his decision.

Bosh wants that sign and trade badly and if he doesn’t do that I can’t see him signing for anything less than Max.

The Knicks biggest nightmare scenario would be for Lebron and David Lee to sign in New Jersey.

    Very possible.

  • brookdon

The dumbest decision if LBJ’s life would be signing tob
the Nets over the Bulls, Amare and the Knicks, or the Cavs. New Jersey isn’t even a bigger market. That’s like choosing the Clippers over the Lakers. Or a Toyota over a Bentley. The projects in Brooklyn over Tribeca.

Bosh ends up either in Miami with Wade or houston

Wade Miami or Chicago. If he leaves Miami it’s definetely for Chicago (his hometown).

LBJ’s best options are Knicks Cavs Bulls…..then the 12-70 Nets.

I think Bosh and Wade in Miami makes the most sense from a basketball, same agent, friendship point of view, but if Bosh insists on a S&T and goes elsewhere, I think Wade will go to Chicago to be near his family or stay in Miami with Boozer.

Anything that creates a team that looks very tough for the Cavs to beat, increases the probability of Lebron leaving the Cavs.

I think Lee is likely to wind up in NJ unless a S&T can be worked out that he approves of.

Ef Bosh. Amare is a grown man. I’d take Amare over Bosh any day. Bosh can go live in texas, or come down here and cater to this horrible, fickle Heat fanbase and have his stupid ‘documentary’ enterauge follow him to calle ocho for empenadas.

  • BiggieSmalls

Bosh goes to Houston in a S&T..

    Wade picks Chicago

    Lebron goes to NYC

    Lee to NJ

    Boozer to Miami

  • manghangson

You forgot the last, and best part, Riley Faxes In Resignation…

  • brookdon

    Wade either
Stays with Heat and Brings Bosh
    Goes to Chicago with Lee/Boozer

    Bosh
    Goes to Heat at Max
    Housten S and T

    LBJ
    Comes to NY with Amare
Stays in CLE with the Basis of Loyalty ONLY
    Goes to Chicago with Lee/Boozer

    Wade
    Chicago with Lee/Boozer
    Heat with Bosh

  • ds2488

hmmm. I wonder what will happen. If Miami can’t get Bosh, then I have to think Wade is leaving. Will the Nets get Lebron or will they get screwed and end up counting on David Lee to be a difference maker?

  • donnie walsh

Lebron signing to the Nets has always been idiotic. He’d be moving to new york in two years, which would be hostile territory. The Knicks will be competing, and Knick fans will HATE Lebron. If he’s coming to the big city its gotta be in a Knicks uni.

  • donnie walsh

I can’t see the cavs having what it takes to land Bosh in a S&T. Hickson and….. more terrible contracts? They’d really just be doing bosh a favor. I think Houston has a lot more valuable players. But Miami and Chicago(after Noah/Rose) are wastelands. There is NOBODY there to deal to Toronto. Thats why I still wouldn’t be surprised to see the Clipper/Lakers/Mavs jump into the S&T foray.

  • cms9675

I think its always been a race between the knicks and cavs, all the other meeting were just smoke and mirrors. If Lebron does decide to leave ohio its to come to NY and don’t believe the hype about NJ he only took that meeting out of respect for Jay and that’s it. His two longest meetings were with NY and CLE so that should tell you right there what his desire is. The only teams he goes to that can win right now if he joined them today are the knicks and cleveland. Miami is too depleted, chicago doesn’t have as many pieces as one might think and NJ lost 70 games last year. Wow. So you tell me what his options are if he leaves cleveland and wants to win. NY has shown everybody how much they are ready to win, they sacrificed two years to bee in this situation. When the season ended everybody said the knicks didn’t have anything to offer besides money and no body coming to the knicks was gonna win any games let alone a ‘chip, but guess what happened on the way into town? We picked a beast and we are surrounding him with snipers. When the season starts let’s see what happens when we start winning. If lebron goes back to cleveland I wish him the best, he will probably never get that ring, but that’s on him. He comes here I just say welcome to the knicks family. But with or without him its a new day for this team. Go Knicks!

  • Mal

Who cares about Bosh we’ve filled that position, lets find our Batman or at least a great couple of running mates for Amare

  • Mucha

If Chris Bosh goes to Houston then we’ll be in a very good position.

  • JeffM729

If the Nets don’t nab LeBron or Wade, they will probably just let Favors develop and make a run at the next free agent classes. They can preserve their cap space for the future by not signing long term deals. A few more lottery picks, a new arena in Brooklyn, and then try it again.

Why sign a second tier guy and lose your flexibility for the future.

  • knicksallday

I just want a good PG… Parker or Collison and then we are in a very good position with or without LeBron!

  • bluemax

    Something does not compute here.

I don’t see why tor can’t come to terms with Miami.
Riley will just have to trade away enough draft picks which he has. I think he is just holding out for a better deal.

tor could then turn around and use the trade exception to get boozer or lee. In fact we could facilitate that deal(lee) if it nets us the king.

In the end I think we’ll see bosh to Mia and LBJ to NYC.

  • bluemax

    In donnie I trust.

  • bluemax

we havn’t heard a thing out of Mia. very strange.

Can’t imagine riley just waiting and doing nothing.

I think he is trying to get boozer who is actually a better fit. Boozer has a true post game (when he wants to) and bosh doesn’t really.

so we could see boozer/wade in Mia and bosh to NJ/hou.

or possibly bosh/wade in Mia if tor can come to terms.

    either way LNJ to NYC.

  • bluemax

    meant LBJ to NYC*

  • bluemax

doesn’t sound like NJ will be getting anybody soon unless this is some kind of ploy.

Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is convinced that Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh will play together in Miami next season.

Prokhorov also believes that if LeBron James joined the duo with the Heat, he could win “two or three titles” but “diminish the LeBron brand” because he’d be winning with such a power-packed lineup.
