Zags: Spike Speaks for the Fans

Via zagsblog

“We’ve got Amar’e and that enables us to get possibly LeBron or Carmelo [Anthony] next year, a sign-and-trade with Chris Paul, or Tony Parker,” Lee said. “Amar’e’s not the only thing we’re gonna do. They’re not even done yet.”

Asked if Knicks’ fans would feel the two years of pursuing James were wasted, Lee said no.

“They’re not gonna blame the Knicks for not getting LeBron,” he said. “They just know LeBron didn’t want to come here.”

  • BernardTheRealKing

If he’s actually, seriously considering going to Miami, than I really hope he doesn’t come to New York because I would never want a player that would rather take the easy way out and join the best when he could, instead, create his own legacy by beating the best.

That’s not what the Knicks are about, and they deserve better.

  • TobyKnight
  • NYK Orange and Blue

LBJ is a clown. I for one will NOT be tuning in to the ESPN circus he has planned tonight. We all know the outcome.

  • ricksthepick

Look, Spike’s right. If he doesn’t want to be here, then we shouldn’t want him despite his abilities. “I want winners!” – Mike Singletary. Give me the guys who want to be here like Amar’e and the Rooster (I know he was drafted but he seems to like NYK). We had no choice in this entire thing, we had to sell out for him and if we got burned so be it. There were alot of mistakes made before we took this route and there will be mistakes after. Nobody’s perfect. We had no choice.

  • SilentJay

    True.
We need players that want to be here.
HaS said a long time ago and I agreed then (as well as I do now if he chooses NY): he’ll come for the business, not for the basketball.
If he wants the easy way out, Miami’s the choice.
If he wants challenges, he’ll choose either us or Cleveland.

  • donnie_brasco

watch OTL on espn this is too funny, they are bashing Lebron for his ultimate decision, EVEN BROUSSARD! LMAO HILARIOUS

  • Knicks4life

Seriously Tommy . . .Spike was the only hope I had left.

Now that you posted this its official for me . . .LBJ ain’t coming.

  • Snickerbocker

Shut up, Spike. All you are regurgitating is blogoshere crap everyone knows and has wished a hundred times. If CP3 becomes available, why in the world would they trade him to the Knicks? Like there is no other team to trade him too. Carmelo will soon sign an extension for fear of a lockout. Maybe Tony Parker, but again we have no draft choices to trade and the only hope there is if he forces a trade to NY. We’ve got Amare. Big deal. Who exactly is gonna get him the ball?

  • metsfan2530

Labron Will Rue the day he goes to Wade County and plays 2nd fiddle to D Wade. While Some one like Melo Comes to New York Next Summer and Becomes the Kind of New York City. I think when its all said and done Labron will have to ask him self this Did i sell my self short of Owning New York City and bring Pride and Respect back to the Mecca of Basketball. While I sit in Miami as a Side kick and # 2 On Miami Melo or CP3 are owning a City and taking in the Benfits of living and wining in the bigest Market in the world. While I am playing to half full Arena in Miami with everyone whearing D wade Jerseys and Wade county builboards.

  • Knicks4life

“Nobody’s perfect. We had no choice”

    Um. Sure we did.

“I want winners!” – Mike Singletary. Give me the guys who want to be here like Amar’e and the Rooster ”

What have Amare and Gallo won?

  • lomaz88

read the whole article. This quote was taken out of context. It’s about other moves IF lebron doesn’t come. there’s hope.

  • bigblue973

well he is only one man lets get off his nuts cuz he is all on wades lol so is bosh there is light at the end of the tunnel we cant say this is a failure just yet, we got one of the top 5 free agents and who knows what some trades will bring we will be good again fuk outta here lebron and im def not watching it, nyc should boycott the show they wont be getting my ratings!

  • Knicks4life

How about trading Beltran and a relief pitcher (Mejia) for Cliff Lee?

Oh wait . . .wrong blog, your name confused me.

  • ImNewYorkWhereEva

This is a call to all true, die hard; I bleed orange and blue, Knick fans. No matter what happens tonight, we need to stop cheering other players of other teams when they come to our house. We need to stop allowing fans of other teams from getting into our building and if they do we need to drown them out! I’m sick of watching people in our building cheering for anybody in the other uniform. This is an epidemic in our town; it happens when Dallas comes into Giants stadium and when Boston comes into Yankee stadium. We’re supposed to be the smartest and greatest fans in the world and we allow this and help it to happen by selling our tickets to non fans of our team. So don’t be sad if LBJ doesn’t come, let’s get back to being who we are New Yorkers. Let’s support the one man who took on the challenge … STAT City, in our quest to dethrone the true King — Kobe Bryant.

We fought tooth and nail to beat MJ and the bulls. Do we love our team any less because they couldn’t climb that mountain? Hell no! We love those old Knick teams. We’ll love this new team too. Trust me. Knick fan for life, f… Jay-Z, f… Rat Riles, write it down, take a picture, I don’t give a f… The Knicks will be champions in this Wade/LBJ/Bosh era. I guarantee it!

  • Jay_M_L

    what has bron won?

  • SilentJay

    I don’t think that’s the point.
I personally think that the right move was to start from scratch. Clearing cap while building through the draft and spending very wisely the money through the FA.
DW took a big risk and he just might walk out with Amare and that possible trade for Lee, which is a great consolation prize.
Let’s hope that that roster makes a competitive team that can reach the playoffs.

  • terrrrrible

Is it just me, or is it a little strange there have been no reports from “Pat Riley” on what LeBron is doing? Until he announces it, it’s all he-said, she-said.

  • HerbWilliams4ever

    im pumpeddd

  • PE33_AH20

I feel you, just don’t know if it’ll turn out that way.

Lebron getting the loudest cheers was an absolute disgrace to Ewing, Oak, Mase, Starks and Even Derek Harper.

  • itzyung1

    lmao

  • pedro

I live in europe, so i’m not sure..

Don’t the Knicks have more fans in Miami than the Heat. I always associated the fans at the Heat arena with retired people.

  • pedro

    true

  • donnie_brasco

    lmao got em

  • ScottD

    + 16,500,000!!!

  • BernardTheRealKing

    True dat.

In a perfect world, LeBron commits to the Knicks, but Knicks decide that they’ve had enough of his shenanigans and his posse of goons, so they shut him down and choose not to sign him.
They S&T David Lee for Ricky Rubio and then sign Carmelo next year.

  • Knicks4life2530

The Knicks will be back sooner than later. Donnie has a plan and he will Excute it. Here is what i want to know next year what teams have cap room? if anyone can get me that info i thank you in advance.

  • tomg

it’s in the miami newspaper and wfan is reporting it’s a done deal, james is going to the heat so now knick fans need to do is not watch this self centered jackass tonight on espn.

  • itzyung1

I Was Pumped And Cpnfident Until I Started Reading Articles Where Donnie and Mike Were Sounding Like Dogs With Their Tails In Between Their Legs.

I Guess They Are Trying To Stay Professional For The Fans And Saying Hey There Is More Than Lebron.

  • Dylan

LeBron better not show his face in New York anymore. I guarantee he won’t have the same pleasant experiences here!

  • From The Blue Seats

wrong, yes i will blame the knicks i could have been watching crawford, zbo and who knows who else while enjoying playoff basketball for the last two years, then make a push for mello next summer….. howeverrr this all a mute point, im 100% positive lebron announces he is a knick and has the most rediculous homecoming tonight/weekend..Tommy we got thiss

  • emac2

Here is my post Lebron agent driven plan.

4 way sign and trade for David Lee.

Lee goes to GSW for Randolph and Turiaf.

Randolph goes to NO with expiring contracts (curry & Martin) and a bunch of picks for Paul, West and Okafor.

Okafor, Gallo, Chandler, West and Turiaf go to Denver for Melo Balkman and Martin. Balkman and Martin go to NO to balance the numbers.

NO gets to dump 100 mil of long term money and rebuild around a good cheap core.

    Denver would lose Melo anyway.

  • SilentJay

I don’t think Melo will wanna be a FA with the money reductions planned for next season. In that case, he either requests for a trade or resigns a huge extension with Denver.
Even Parker seems like a longshot. No way to mention CP3, that’s never been even close for me.
The Lee-GS trade is being called a given once LBJ rejects NY.
Lee was the most valuable asset we had for a big trade (Parker or Melo -impossible-).

  • Knicks4life

    “lmao got em”

How did that get me? He said I want “winners” not me.

For the record, I wanted to build through the draft.

  • SilentJay

They’re probably exploring trades involving Lee right now.
I just hope we can get pieces that can help us get to the playoffs.

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

dont know who you’re kidding, I hate this who soap opera more than anyone, but your only kidding yourself if you think your’e not going to watch

  • Dylan

Its not Walsh’s fault that LeBron is a coward. He has done a very good job so far. The only really bad move he made while here was passing on Jennings. I think that giving up Hill (who isn’t even that good) and a couple picks in order to get rid of Jeffries was a good move. We needed to go all in.

  • cms9675

I’m not worried about miami, they will have a good starting five and a terrible bench. By the end of the season they would be too gased to even do any damage in the playoffs, because all those mins they would have to log just to stay in the game. We will be just fine. Donnie said it a million times, that james wasn’t the only player he was interested in. If we get him cool if we don’t we have Amare, 19+ mill in cap space and some interesting trade offers for lee. So don’t cry dry your eyes, here comes lebron with those two homo guys!

  • tomg

steven A. smith is on the mike francessa show and steven a. is saying that ironically last night thomas went to speak to lebron and tried to get lebron to sign with the knicks.

  • SilentJay

I don’t think he will. He’ll be enjoying South Beach for quite sometime before he even makes an appearance here.
    Forget about Cleveland.

  • mustarda

Thanks for saying this. Agreed 100%.

  • tomg

steven A. is saying Lebron is going to sign a three year deal with Miami and than when that contract is up Lebron is going to sign with the nets in brooklyn.

  • GoNYGoNY2010

BREAKING NEWS: My sources tell me that Lebron is headed to Mars to play for Marvin the Martian. In order to make salary room for the signing there will be a ten team trade, which will include a host of Looney Tune characters..

That’s how ridiculous this is right now. I’m waiting until 9pm to get the real decision.

  • Knicks4life2530

I dont know where else they can go this Offseason. a few moves here and there and save the cap room.

  • Knicks4life

    Hate the Lee trade.

I like Randolph but we are going to have a gaping hole at PG and SG next season. All of our best players are going to be 3/4s. Randolph, Chandler, Gallo, Amare. We are like Minnesota but with Forwars instead of PGs.

  • cms9675

Can’t ya just see it? Lebron in miami dancin’ on a table, with his shirt tied in a knot and his yankee cap on backwards and singing “I’m in miami bitch!”

  • leemsg

Gonna be watching Knicks Night Live on MSG before and after LeBron’s decision tonight regardless. Hoping they’ll be discussing only good things. Cross your fingers Knicks Fans…

  • clyne

I wonder if there would be any way to add in Eddy Curry and Wilson Chandler and Monta Ellis in that deal…it still leaves open the door for a max contract in NY and then gives NY some serious fire power…I know the contracts do not match up totally and GS would end up needing to send probably about 8 million in salary to some other team, but dang look at how much better the Knicks would be…

    PG: Douglas
    SG: Ellis
    SF: Gallo
    PF: Randolph
    C: Amare

Bench: Walker, Rautins, Fields, Jordan, and whoever else they pick up

  • donnie_brasco

let me refresh your memory per you “What have Amare and Gallo won?” and per Jay_M_L “what has bron won?” he got you, so what are you talking about?

  • nachomas4

In regards to Cleveland, Lebron going Miami is probably worse for them than coming to NY
joining a super team is just disgusting, you are just a piece to Wades puzzle and quest for another ring

  • SilentJay

    Hmm…
Although I would love to take all these talks about Miami and silence about Cleveland and NY as the perfect smokescreen, it just seems way to orchestrated in a circus that’s been nothing but chaos for a while now.
But in the end, who knows, only the clown that’ll go on TV to announce the future of his career on national TV.

  • Knicks4life

    That was disgraceful.

Kobe still gets cheered in the garden too so it was not all about free agency either.

  • Ol Dirty 187

Couldn’t agree more…that’s the single greatest post ever to be posted on knicks blog…I want lebron but reguardless of what happens I’ll still continue to bleed orange and blue!

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

TOMMY SPEAK UP! For someone pretty set on him going to the Knicks, it looks like you have bought into the ESPN hype in the last hours.

  • WitNYC NYK

This whole Lebronathon has turned everyone into Tabloid Junkies!

  • bga

    TOMMY GIVE US SOME WORDS

  • tomg

I’m 100% convinced Lebron is going to Miami because of what Sreven A. smith is saying on the WFAN francessa show. Lebron is signing with the heat, you will see tonight. I know one thing, I won’t watch that garbage.

  • itzyung1

HAHAHA This Is Funny Everybody On This Blog Just Went Through The 7 Stages Of Grief.
I Still Think Lebron Is Coming Though.

  • mustarda

I don’t like this tone, what a crap, I’m sure he is either come to the NYK or staying. I’d rather go look for news in TMZ than take anything ESPN does seriosly.

  • CircleLimit4

I think Lebron got cheers to lure him here. And it’s not like the Knicks have been cheer worthy for the past decade.

  • brookdon

    One question.

Earlier Yesterday everyone said NY but then later on MIA “heated” up. I have read so many blogs, opinions, and even Y!Answers and the concencus is that LBJ to MIA is a horrible decision. WOuldn’t LBJ take some of this into consideration. Public Opinion is important….

For the record I believe he is going to MIA but I am sure his camp is looking at this.

  • jtb

We will all be cheering Lebron on next year. He is coming to the Knicks.

This was never about convincing Lebron to come to the Knicks. It was about convincing the public that it was okay for Lebron to come to the Knicks. He’s been planning to come here for 2 years, but we had a laughable product. If he came with our crappy old roster, the media and fans would call him selfish and say he only wanted the money. By adding Amare and having the opportunity to bring on another star (thanks to Eddy Curry), hopefully we convinced the world enough that coming to NY isn’t a complete mistake, and that he has a chance to win here. Also, going through this circus with all these teams helps create the idea that none of this was planned.

Stop slamming the guy for not coming. He will be here.

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

THIS IS MY FINAL SAY -

look around, all the LeBron to MIA is all Media driven, please someone quote me a source who confirms it other than someone Media or Espn Related. NOW on the other hand NYK rumors were quoted by actual people (ochocinco, diddy, dudley, jayson williams, almost amare) I think thats a HUGE difference.

LeBron ran this whole show to a TEE and he lets word slip out right before the biggest tv spectacle in ages, HIGHLY unlikely

  • grahambo86

Karl Malone will command more respect then James when its all said and done if he goes to Miami.

  • KnickKam

i agree.People just don’t seem to get that this is all being done to sidetrack the issue. Everyone will be so relieved that LBJ is not going to Miami and ruining the NBA that when he chooses NY (which is usually hated) they will be relieved and happy for him.

  • tomg

I wish people would listen to what steven A. Smith is saying about lebron on the wfan. Steven stated that lebron and wade talked about this weeks before the free agency started and when the rumors came out about bosh looking for a sign and trade bosh had gotten cold feet because he felt that he wouldn’t make endorsement money playing with lebron and wade and wanted a max deal until he got a call from wade the other night telling bosh make a decision and wade convinced bosh to come aboard. Steven A. smith also said the Knicks were always the team outside looking in. I know some knick fans aren’t going to like this either, smith said that lebron and his camp felt that d’antoni is not a defensive minded coach and they felt to win championships you need to play defense.

  • GoNYGoNY2010

Agreed. But Diddy admitted he was joking

  • HaS

Here’s my “Plan B” and brace yourselves you’re not going to like it lol.

Make the Randolph trade for Lee along with Turiaf and a draft pick (maybe throw in Morrow or Azubuike).

    Wait for it…

    Wait for it…

Trade Curry+ for Arenas (I know, I know, but hey we traded for a guy who choked his coach once and that worked out ok) along with Nick Young, Javale McGee and a draft pick.

Knicks get 2 1st round draft picks from 2 not so good teams (to put it nicely) plus a 3 long players with upside in Randolph (3/4) McGee (4/5) Nick Young (1/2). That would be 3 1st rounders (including the swap with Houston) two of which could be in the lottery or be used to move up in the lottery.

    Starting lineup next year:

    Arenas
    Douglas
    Gallinari
    Amar’e
    Turiaf

I didn’t look at the cap implications and such, that was all off the top of my head.

If Arenas is healthy and hungry that team could make the playoffs in the East and the Knicks would be stockpiling a couple picks and very young untapped talent.

My only worry is Arenas and Amar’e would be the team’s leaders lol.

  • Eduardo15

If that’s not conceding defeat, Idk what is.

  • From The Blue Seats

you dont go ten minutes outside of ny to announce you are going to their hated rivals, you just dont do it. He is not that stupid

  • JeffM729

Another Eddy Curry for CP3 fantasy.

CP3 is going to be traded for crap like Eddy Curry and Kenyon Martin. yeah…. that’s the ticket.

  • GoNYGoNY2010

And Lebron knows about winning championships because……

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

i think he said that bc he got excited, then realized he’d be in trouble for telling people….. hes from NY , doubt he would toy w the people, kind of a sensitive issue

  • itzyung1

    Yeah Diddy Was Playing.
But I will say this Miami has been telling people all day that Lebron is coming not people in Lebron’s Circle.

  • mustarda

He is OBVIOUSLY coming to the NYK, the media, everyone is being played like Allan Hahn said yesterday. He wouldn’t let his decision be known before he can speak for himself. I just can’t understand everybody buying into this crap, lots of fake rumors growing out of nowhere.

  • tomg

people can believe what they want but Lebron is definitely going to Miami and smith also said Lebron will sign a deal where he can leave Miami in three years because lebron wants to play for the Nets when they move to brooklyn. Let’s face it people, nobody wants to play on a team that Dolan owns.

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

  • LebronSignAfterTheX

  • manghangson

Pretty convinced that all the NY buzz was generated by Lebrons crew or Riley the rat so they could all clean up on the stock market before they make their final decision…

  • Vincentlouie

I feel like the Knicks can build a good team even if Lebron spurns us. I feela sign and trade with golden state will really shore up our roster. If you sign and trade David lee to golden state for Monta Ellis and Biedrins or randolph we have a real good team who can spot up and shoot. Also once Currys off the books we can have more cap space to get melo. What do you guys think of a trade like that?

  • Knicks4life2530

I Just Heard Steven A Smith on the Fan and he said labron will sign a 5 year deal with an opt out after 3 years. Then he will come to NYC to either the Nets or Knicks. Here what i think of that stick it up your #ss Labron you pass up New York k you keep walking. This is a City that plays 2nd Fiddle to no one. I can say this you will see the other side of this town now. No more standing O in the Garden you are going to get the Reggie Miller Treatment.

  • JeffM729

Yeah, why draft a guy at 8, not play him, and then send a couple of number 1′s to get rid of Jeffries for Tracy McGrady. That’s a good move, sure…

Houston is happy with our picks and Hill for a guy. T-Mac that can’t get a contract and rumor has it they are trading Jeffries to get Tyson Chandler.

    It all makes sense!

  • Dylan

So you think he just guessed correctly two weeks ago? Alright keep on thinking that…

  • Knicks4life

Love the draft picks, hate the Arenas trade. He once shi&&ed in a teamates bag. Nuff said. I don’t want him anywhere near a young team and lockeroom and especially nowhere near Amare.

I also would not start Turiaf, I would start McGhee. I also don’t like Tony Douglas starting at the 2 guard spot.

Randolph, a draft pick, and Turiaf is alot to give up for David Lee too. I know the guy was an all-star but GS has been smart about holding onto their picks which, coincidently are always in the lottery.

I may just bite the bullet and take back Ellis (who they don’t need) and Randolph and call it a day.

Try to convince Kahn to trade us Flynn as well and just go with a severly undersized backcourt.

  • HaS

    Tommy’s silence speaks volumes.

  • tsertain

Sure. We can build a good team even if LJ spurns us. But the fact of the matter is, we had the opportunity of a great team. The greatest city in the world, with the greatest player under the greatest lights. We would have won at least one championship within 3 years. Now, it will be another 5-20 years at least before we see one. Good team or not, very few teams win in the NBA because of the disparity. We had our shot.

  • Eduardo15

    Funny:

    SI_ChrisBallard

His pitch: I’m no longer there! RT @FisolaNYDN: Knicks sent Isiah to Akron to make one last pitch for LeBron to come to NYC

  • fauci933

That’s because Yankee fans are 80% bandwagoners. Hell a good majority of Yankee fans aren’t even from NY because they’re so globally recognized. My mom even knows about this whole LeBron thing and she could care less about basketball. If he snubs NY he will be hated here.

  • ds2488

agreed. That’s a fantastic trade for the Knicks.

If that’s true, major props to Donnie for having plans like that in place. That would seriously be fantastic.

  • bartnyk

Id pass on Azabukie for Morrow

  • ds2488

    lol. that’s great

  • knick-dynasty

He did get you, lmao…the regulars will never come back noob take over.

  • ds2488

Leave it to Spike to be the most reasonable and put it the best. Great stuff from Spike.

Knicks have many other options now if Lebron says no. Hopefully Donnie is aware and ready to pounce if/when things don’t go the Knicks way tonight.

  • SilentJay

Clearest evidence yet that Knicks are out of LeBron Sweepstakes RT @FisolaNYDN: Knicks sent Zeke to Akron to make 1 last pitch for Bron

OK, I know a lot are still hopeful, but it’s time to move on, now.
We need players who want to be in NY.
    That’s that.

  • CircleLimit4

Scumbags on a Yankees site? Get out of town.

  • bartnyk

Morrow is a much better fit as a shooter with upside we should be pushing for him to be included in the deal.

  • grahambo86

    Then add Melo next season.

  • SilentJay

Oh yeah, and Jerome Jordan is officially a Knick
    Yeiii……….
    Mind the sarcasm.
Trying to think about what can happen now.

  • thefloodwatch

Regardless to the Outcome – The Knicks Took Risk for years and alot of the Risk backfired i think now is the best chance they have of being competitors – and fighters
you see Bron did the Knicks a favor if he doesnt come
he allowed the Knicks to Grow into a Contender and for the I told you so scenario to hold weight – when the Knicks get Melo and Paul or Parker next season who wants to come to New York – they’ll just add 2 more pieces to a Legacy they’re building – Miami is ran by one of the two-faced Coach in Basketball Pat Riley
    - and Karma is a bitch
Pat Riley’s Vendetta against NY has showed again and does everyone remember 10 years ago ?? when Miami was the Superior Team and Knicks was the 8th Seed –
Allan Houston Game Winner showed how Karma will always hit Pat Riley where it hurts
    -
Have Faith in the Team we have now it’s still gonna be exciting at the Garden and we’re gonna have fun winning and we’re gonna learn alot losing ..but know that those days of being humiliated and made fun of are about to change
we have a core of hungry players that can become breakouts
    just give it time
also dont be surprised if Bill Walker and Gallo get Allstar consideration come February i think they’re gonna breakout when the season starts
TD is gonna show how he can Dominate the Point position
    - see what i noticed about NY is we always look for the player to help us that helped other teams but we dont trust in the rookies and pick up players that make the team – so we should believe in the 5 we have on contract and add on with players who wanna fight to win with us
not play to win with us
    -

  • tsertain

what exactly is so reasonable. Carmelo will likely take the contract extension for fear of new rules in the new CBA. Less guaranteed money, lower salary cap, etc.

What exactly are we going to do to compete with Lebron and Wade? Hope for an injury to one or both of them, and hope to get Paul in a S&T?

Unfortunately, we cant rely on other teams to help us and trade us a superstar like Paul.

This whole thing is one giant nightmare. How can it be looked at any different?

  • bbrody1

i’d rather buike-randolph and an expiring contract instead of turiaf

  • Knicks4life2530

New York is not for everyone. Maybe Labron just wants to be the 2nd Guy. Whats going to be funny is when the game is on the line and Riley says D wade take final shot I wonder how Labron is going to feel. Then he looks at New York and Melo is Running this City and making a Billion Dollars. Labron Might try to go the nets but that aint Broadway. Anyone who lives in the City knows all the cash glory and Fame can be had in the New York city Not South Beach

  • tsertain

Such karma. You forget that Riley got handed a ring over the Mavericks, as Wade got every foul call?

  • jasoneg77

Does Randolph start? w/ Amare, Gallo at SF?

Would Randolph be better at PF or C?

  • Knicks2017

My guess is that Lebron is going to sign a 2-3 year deal with the Heat and figures that he will win a championship or two with them. Then he will go somewhere where he will again be the centerpiece. He will still be only 28 and will have plenty of time to regain his iconic figure, brand, etc.

All the meanwhile he will get that ‘championship’ monkey off his back. Look at Pierce, Allen and Garnett before they won anything.

Having said all that, I will despise him from this day forward for being a ‘cop-out’ and taking the easy way out.

  • nachomas4

    great comment

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

hell yea i hope it goes down an it’s really up to Lee

  • http://www.nomoreonionbags.com trenttucker

Well the GS deal looks done. $13 million for D-Lee, about right in this market. We get a center that is halfway decent enough to start (Turiaf gets a lot of blocks), yet another long forward with great potential in Randolp, and we finally have a shooting guard in Azubuike. not bad. We still need a real PG. I know others don’t like Felton, but I do. Parker would also be nice, but for who, Chandler?

    Felton/Parker
    Azubuike
    Gallo
    Amare
    Turiaf

Bench: Randolph, Walker, Jordan, Rautins, Fields

Maybe a 6-8 seed team. Eh.

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

i think aza is better overall than morrow but morrow can light it up fast than con edison

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

melo is already a knicks it’s a done deal, this season is his last in the rockies

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

he will be p.f unless he added 20 pounds

  • bartnyk

We would have to start him at the 5

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

come on dude it was kool but why u got felton on there out of all people.i think the knicks will get steve nash lite=ridnour

  • tinomartinezfan

It’s cool if LeBron goes to South Beach and strikes out in his first year, leaving the door open for ‘Melo to win in NY and leave James’ shadow.

  • BobbyFromBK

Tommy has a lotta ‘Splainin’ to do!

  • Mucha

    He’s a PF

  • bartnyk

He is going to play center in this system we signed a PF for 100mil.

  • BobbyFromBK

And didn’t Walsh bring in D’Antoni just to reel in LBJ?

  • KFFL

Ridnour would come with a cheaper price tag and I believe is a much better fit for the Knicks. TD could share time with him at the point and Ridnour might be able to teach him a thing or two. Doesn’t Turiaf have a big contract?

  • http://www.nomoreonionbags.com trenttucker

I guess Ridnour. I just love Felton, always have. Especially impressed by how he destroyed the Knicks this year. That ankle-breaking inside-out with the left hand that he did to Hughes to win one game on a drive was so sick.

  • http://www.nomoreonionbags.com trenttucker

Ridnour and TD are so completely opposite. I wish there was a machine in which we could merge them into one well-rounded PG.

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

every1 always destroys the knicks an it’s usually the scrubs to kill the knicks for some reason

  • http://www.nomoreonionbags.com trenttucker

Ha, true. But that lefty inside-out is a tough move when you’re a righty. And Hughes can defend on the perimeter.

  • MikelsPop

This is the worst news in regards to LeBron coming here. A couple of days ago Spike refused to speak on the topic when it looked like we were the front runners. Oh well, I’m sure we all have better things to focus on. At least this soap opera will be over.

  • ReaSonable DoubT

An espn source is Claiming LeBron may go to Miami, or could have some “Tricks” up his sleeve..
