    EPIC EPIC EPIC !!!!!!!!

I hate to hear it but it’s SOOO true

    Decent showing today…

Toney was pretty good, but did not show any pg skills. He’s just not a NBA pg imo. He looked good though, and can be a very good combo guard off the bench.

Bill Walker looked awful. I know some guys have him penciled in as our starting sg, but if he is we are in a lot of trouble. Despite losing a ton of weight, he’s still a foul machine with bad shot selection.

Landry Fields actually looked very solid. He has nice handle, great athleticism, and unlike Walker good shot selection. He can play. I think if given a chance he can help us this year.

Rautins…not so much. He plays smart basketball, but is literally only capable of shooting 3′s. If he’s not hitting, he’s useless imo.

Jerome Jordan is humongous but he looks completely raw and lost on the court. No way he’s getting pt this year, no matter how desperately we need size, unless he really learns a lot and gets more polished quickly.

    Douglas was great

Although i like the post Lebron Moves by donnie for this team
i still cant get over our draft

i Dont see why or how Walsh could have passed up on both Ebanks and Stephenson

  • bartnyk

Whats new do we ever draft right?

    I like Fields though

Tough to get too excited about this one way or another, no?

Walsh was drafting as if LBJ was on the team already. This is what happens when you put all of your eggs in one basket. Its so depressing when you think of walshs 3 years of drafting

Passing on Stephenson still hurts… it was the 2nd round, I can’t understand that.

Wait until you see Devin Ebanks play tomorrow with the Lakers. I wanted him and Stephenson in the draft. Ebanks is the real deal.

  • HaS

I’ve seen Ebanks and you’re right. He’s not an outside shooter, but he played within himself, runs the floor well and looks like he’ll be a solid defender.

Stephenson would have been a good risk/reward player. I hope the Knicks don’t live to regret passing on him. I understand that he had some potential character issues/red flags, but being a 2nd rounder who’s not on a guaranteed contract has a way of motivating (and humbling) a player, especially those with his talent and ability. He’ll probably play with a massive chip on his shoulder the rest of his career.

I like Fields he may end up being a real steal, but I still think he would have ended up on the outside of the draft and the Knicks could have gotten him as an undrafted free agent.

Rautins looks a little overmatched (not a good sign in Summer League especially as a guard), but he gives an honest effort which I respect. Good looking shot, he would have decent pickup if we were the Lakers or at least had a bona-fide superstar on the team. I could see him in a Steve Kerr, John Paxson role, but… the Heat cornered the market on the 2010 free agency. Unfortunately.

Jerome Jordan looked like a deer in headlights I wish the Knicks would hire an actual big man coach instead of Dolan’s buddy Herb to work with a guy like him. Kareem, McHale, Olajuwon etc. you someone who was actually a good post up player. Even Mark Aguirre seemed pretty good at teaching and working with big men on how to play.

Again, I really don’t see where people find a point guard in Toney Douglas’ game and this is after a whole offseason of work. I love his intensity and his effort level when he’s out on the floor, he gives you his absolute all until he can’t give anymore. There was a point where he had to ask out of the game because he flying all around the court like a bat out of hell, absolutely love his approach to the game, but he just isn’t a point guard.

I really wish we could have gotten a look at Gallinari too, he could use the run. He could use the experience of being the best player on the floor to boost his confidence, that’s why I wold have loved him to play for his country this offseason.
