Knicks Vs. Lakers…

  • rdogg2

Hopefully we can stop Kobe from going wild.

  • KnickFan4Life

lol, what? This is summer league. No kobe…

  • Dylan

Why don’t they show any of the press conferences on MSG? It makes no sense…

  • donnie_brasco
  • bartnyk

    LMFAO!!!!!

    must watch

  • the oak

Something Douglas needs to get better at is finishing at the rim through traffic. He struggled finishing during the season and yesterday he missed a few too. He can get to the basket but he has got to learn how to finish when he has defenders around him.

  • bga

    that was funny!

  • donnie_brasco

lmao my cousin put me on

  • bga

i wonder what LeBitch is truely thinkning about his decision

  • asumets

hahaha, you’re funny KnickFan4Life. So true. When was the last time Kobe played summer ball? 10 years?

  • PickNY

Games can be seen on NBA TV. MSG is black out, but thank God for DirecTv to record all the schedule games, so I can watch after work:>)

  • bmathews77

hahaha. That explains why he wants to play with Bosh and Wade.

  • Jeff C

One of the reasons i really like our team going into the season (obviously not as much as i could be liking it), is that we now have a bunch of strong, gritty players to either start or come off the bench. Depth now includes players like turiaf, azubuike, randolph, instead of harrington, duhon, t-mac, hughes, etc.

To think that a possible 2nd unit could be
    Douglas
    Azuibuike
    Chandler
    Randolph
    Turiaf

    Thats a tough lineup.

Also, everyone always says amare was made by nash, and that he can’t be as good without him, but nobody ever wonders if, maybe, amare made it alot easier for nash. Their success was mutually shared in my opinion. I mean, if i’m a point guard, amare is the best player in the league that i could imagine to be flicking the ball up to in the paint.

  • Dylan

Haha our 2nd unit still probably finishes better than the Nets.

  • Mucha

    rotfl

  • Jeff C

    I wish randolph was playing

  • NEW KNICKS, NO REGRETS!

EVERY KNICKS FAN SHOULD WRITE TO NYK and ask them to DO NOT ALLOW AMAR’E TO PLAY FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM.

HE SHOULD STAY OUT OF IT. REST HIS KNEES AND WORK OUT WITH THE TEAM. THE LAST THING WE NEED IS FOR HIM TO GET HURT PLAYING FOR NOTHING….

PLEASE GUYS WRITE ABOUT THIS. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS THIS SUMMER>>>>>>>>C’MON YOU ALL!!!

  • itzyung1

I Agree, I Dont Think Nash Made Amar’e Or Amar’e Made ash. It was mutual Nash Gave Amar’e A lot Of Good Looks But Amar’e Is One Of The Best Finishing Bigs I The League.

  • Lebron_The_Con

    Hate Lebron?
Show Lebron how you really feel for his cowardly act of joining Miami and betrayal to his team and the fans Cleveland.

  • Ftingue

    LOLOLOLOL

  • HaS

    Me too.

  • joon8
  • Tony_Bologna

Does anyone else have a problem watching the game on NBA TV on Fios?

  • PipeDreamin

anyone see a little j-rich in bill walker?

I think if Bill can learn to harness his game, his potential is limitless.

And i will continue to maintain from last year… He is an extremely under-rated passer.

  • jg1170

It should be blacked out on NBA TV locally.

    Suggest you try MSG.

  • BiggieSmalls

who is this Baitang dude # 55?

  • Tony_Bologna

    Thanks bro

  • jg1170

    NP bro

  • jg1170

    Think you got it backwards.

The national telecast is usually the one that’s blacked out locally.

MSG should be whose televising in NY.

  • Dylan

I agree. I think he is a better passer than Douglas.

  • BiggieSmalls

Boateng // ASU senior .. one year at Duke./. from England via Ghana.. playing hoop for about 5 years. // very book smart.. // super athletic ex soccer player

  • itzyung1

    Jerome Jordan Looks Comfortable Today!
Good Shot Blocker, May Have To Work On The Pick And Roll More Though.

  • Dylan

Fields looks like he is going to be a very good player.

  • brookdon

Supriaibf since at the draft we all booed this pick. Does anyone have any word on how Wille Warren is doing? That’s the guy I wanted to draft…..

  • BASEline LANEdrive

ya.. fields definitely knows how to play, where to be, and he puts in effort.

  • Ol Dirty 187

anybody else really impressed with ebanks?

i was watching him play in summer league two days ago, he was really impressive…

i wanted the knicks to draft him so badly.

  • NY is not 4 the WEAK

I know this is not the thread for this BUT –

PLEASE no more cheering/clapping/chanting for opposing players in the Garden this year! I didn’t like when we did for that guy that went to Miami, don’t do it for Melo/Paul/Parker etc. Until they sign here they are enemies.

  • danisrob

Quite a few Boateng soccer players from Ghana, who play for their national team or Germany (Kevin Prince, Jerome, George) . Do you know if he is any relation?

  • bob go knicks

douglass is no point guard, christ,he couldnt penetrate Lebrons mom!

  • bob go knicks

    yeah I like ZACH!

  • Dylan

    +1
I don’t think we should necessarily boo potential free agents, but cheering for opposing players is pathetic.

  • Ol Dirty 187

    agree one hundred percent…

on another note, i was at kobes 61 point game, that was by far the greatest performance ive ever seen in my life, every bucket looked so effortless. Ive always loved kobes game and appreciated the guy but i didnt stand and cheer him. Although it was an amazing performance i just though tthat it was wrong to cheer a player that wasnt wearing orange and blue.

  • bob go knicks

hey biggie,do you know where i can watch todays press conference?

  • anubav

I’ve got to say, this Mozgov kid has me intrigued. I don’t expect much out of him this season, of course, but just hearing Phil Weber talk him up has me pretty excited. I know Coach W. is prone to hyperbole (I think he said that someone had referred to A. Randolph, as a more talented version of Chris Bosh), but he said that in Mozgov’s workouts this morning, he blew the coaches away… “10′s across the board” was the quote, I think. Combine this with the fact that it seemed like Donnie was real anxious to get this guy under contract before anyone else had the chance to get a close look at him, and I think we have the makings of a real interesting project. Even if the guy only ends up giving us around 15-20 quality minutes a game, so that Amar’e can get some burn at the 4, I’d definitely take that. Plus at 3 mil per with a team option after next year, he could be a real steal.

On a related note: J. Jordan’s looking pretty good today. At least he’s throwing those long arms around and swatting some shots. IMHO, I don’t see him cracking the rotation this year, especially if we’re in the playoff hunt, but who knows?

  • bob go knicks

    but rautins looks like crap

  • bob go knicks

its about time SOMEBODY got it

  • PickNY

I live in Alaska! I went home for lunch to watch some of the game and it’s being televised on NBA TV like I said. And it was Blackout in my area. Man, don’t you hate when somebody try to tell you something that you know you have seen? Anyway, I will be watching the rest of the game after work. The little that I saw was the big fella (JJ) on a pick a roll with hatchet man (Bill W.)for a dunk.

  • KnickFan4Life

So Jerome is looking better today? That’s good, because he looked horrible in the first game…has Garcia played at all?

  • gianthinker

I’m in San Diego and the weather is amazing but the sports channels suck. Is there a link I can find a replay of the summer league game today so I can see it? I’ve missed them both being out here which I wouldn’t trade but it would be nice to see them.

  • KnickFan4Life

+1,000,000 unfortunately I think during this cruddy decade of ball the garden crowd has changed somewhat. We get a much more casual NBA on average in the garden these days, hopefully if they get good again the crowd’s will be like they were in the 90′s, i.e. brutal.

  • PickNY

I live in Alaska and it was Blackout on MSG (Directv), so I’m recording it from NBA TV.

  • PickNY

gianthinker better get Directv and stop being cheap:>)

  • Dylan

    TheNBAScoop:
A source told the NY Post that come Dec 15 (when teams can trade draft picks) the Knicks will try to acquire Chris Paul or Tony Parker.

  • Ol Dirty 187

im hoping players like randolph (i think really really highly of him) and amre can bring some intensity thsat will spark the garden crowd and make it a more hostile invironment again…

  • NY is not 4 the WEAK

I wouldn’t suggest booing Melo/Parker/paul just to boo.. but if the guy is putting it on the Knicks, by all means boo. I think they would actually appreciate that more than cheering for them, which is corny. And if they don’t want to come here bc we were tough on them, that’s exactly why you shouldn’t want them here.

  • Ol Dirty 187

    thats good news i guess…

i really hope we dont have to get rid of randolph, i truly believe that kids gonna be an all star in the future. Hes a freak, seriously. Hes 6 11 and can knock down a jumper, handle the rock, block shots, and he throws it down so hard…

he reminds me of a mix between odam and maybe a lil bit of camby (not as good obviously). I dont want the knicks to package him in a deal, to be honest i rather them send gallo or will ( i know imma get hate for that statement but i feel as though randolph has as much upside then anyone in the nba right now)…

  • itzyung1

No He Has’t But PJ Has.

  • NY is not 4 the WEAK

you can enjoy a player’s performance and still boo. We all knew how great MJ and Reggie played against us, but by no means were they getting cheered for it. Those opposing players back then respected the NY fan more then than they prob do now.

  • brookdon

Haha That means delonte west is the greatest pg ever!

  • asumets

ASU Baby! Go Sun Devils! Sendek has that team on the right track.

  • itzyung1

Yeah I Guess The Knicks Realized Why Throw Pieces Away For Melo Whe We Can Just Get Him In The Summer And Trade For CP3 Now.

  • brookdon

    How would we acquire him?

Eddy Curry would have to be involved in the deal somehow, but that means no expiring contract hence no melo.

It would make tons more sense to trade for melo and save up for paul later.

  • asumets

yup. hating on your statement on moving Gallo before Randolph.

We need to start keeping the good players we draft and keep them with the franchise for their careers. Look at the Spurs…it’s all about the culture and the expectations that are set when they arrive in the NBA.

  • Ol Dirty 187

fields has been a good surprise thus far…i didnt like the pick and summer league only means so much but from what ive seen he doesnt look bad.

rautins on the other hand…lets just say he seems like dantonis kinda player..FML!

  • BiggieSmalls

not sure bob.. summer league against LA is on MSG now.. maybe they’ll show it on delay

@danisrob — i got that from wikipedia. says he was in Delaware as a high schooler..went to St Andrew School.. very good school..

  • BiggieSmalls

interesting they filmed Dead Poets Society there.

  • BiggieSmalls

    he hit some shots yesterday/

  • Ol Dirty 187

    i knew id get hate…

i love gallo and i dont want him goin anywhere, same goes for ill will. but lets be real randolph has so much upside. My point being players like him dont come around often (not that great shooting pf’s like gallo do but…).

i want the knicks to keep randolph more then anyone on this roster, ive been wantin them to get him snse he was drafted…

  • knicksfix

Landry Fields look really good for his frame , if this kid packed on some muscles he could start 2-3 years down the road

  • Ol Dirty 187

so u wanna keep the culture that was set when gallo was brought into the league? So u wanna keep the “dantoni culure”…thats a shame u feel that way.

  • jg1170

    lol

  • Dylan

He looks like he could be the steal of the draft. He has been the most impressive player on the Knicks SL team so far. Jerome Jordan looks MUCH better today.

  • itzyung1

Yeah, Rautins Didn’t Really Stand Out To Me. PJ Stood Out More.
Fields and Jordan Impressed Me So Hey 2 Out Of 3 Isn’t Bad.

  • Dylan

Yeah not at all. Rautins also seems like the kind of player who would do much better with a super star on the court. He needs open looks.

  • Jeff C

Fields looks very impressive. Runs the floor really well, finishes well, usually makes the right decision. He’s strong, athletic. I think he might be able to completely replace chander if we were to get rid of him. His handle is even better tha wil’s.

I also really like Jordan. He contested almost every single shot that was taken in the paint. He can move really well too, but isn’t a stick figure like randolph. I’m lovin both of those picks right now. I don’t know about rautins.

  • jingo

I think the only way Knicks could get Paul and Anthony would be for them to get Paul under his current deal then resign him after they have Anthony.

I like Rautins as an asset. It will take time for him to develop a set of skills beside spot up shooting but he has a spark that I like – intensity.

  • gianthinker

I have it. I’m on vacation. Maybe you should learn how to read and stop buying books with pictures.

  • bockersORbriefs

Isola’s take on Mozgov on Daily News Live …. “when you translate his name to french it’s Fredric Weiss … in english it’s Eddy Curry” … better hope Phil Weber’s right & Isola’s wrong … but don’t hold yr breath !

  • bartnyk

The Bill Walker hype is completely gone IMO he should be called Foul Walker, he’s SOOOOO slow off the dribble, he should never dribble the ball again he needs to be Q-Rich post up and shoot threes thats it!

Fields is awesome hes quick fluid off the bounce I like his game a lot.

Like I said yesterday and people disagreed Andy is Roberson as a matter a fact his new name is Andy Roberson.

Jordan looked a lot better, more fluid he contest shots love the multiple block sequence.

Douglas looked to set guys up a lot more he needs to build on that the next game.

  • CuBaNGoDzIlLa

I didn’t see the second half. But I liked the defense from Jordan and ewing in the first. I’m actually pulling for ewing. I think he should have
made the team two yrs ago.

  • JeffM729

Landry Fields shows lots pf heart and desire, plus good skills. He’s got lots of work to do, but would be a nice second team wing. One of the few guys who isn’t afraid to cross the three point line and bang the offensive boards. Pretty fearless guy in the paint. Rautins and Walker have been disappointing. Toney Douglas is proving he is a good combo guard, but that’s fine.

Jordan looked good, but the Lakers didn’t really have any length against him. He was 1000% better than yesterday. He gets to the rim, although as Clyde say, lots of matador D from the Lakers today.

My favorite Clyde line from the broadcast, “I’ve slept with a lot of ice bags.”

  • Bloop33

I’m kinda wondering why people aren’t talking about dealing Felton in a trade for CP3. His stock is gonna rise this season and he’s pretty cheap in terms of dollar amount and years. Combine him with a Chandler and Curry, and then you have something IMO. You could also package Gallo or Randolph with Eddy and Felton and see if they bite.

  • Bloop33

Bill walker is not going to be handling the ball in Iso’s nearly as much as when the season starts, so I’m not worried. He’s still been getting to the cup effectively tho.

  • scarfacebaj19

Fields looks to be the best player on the floor for the Knicks! 6 for 8 yesterday and today 7 for 11- total 13 for 19= 68%! The knicks need to feed him the ball more often- high IQ. He also had a couple of blocks and steals today. It nice to see a player that doesnt rely on shooting 3′s, believe he is 1 for 3 from downtown.

It was good to see something from Jordan- I was a big person pushing for him before the draft. After yesterday’s performance- got a little nervous for my Rep. lol! He showed u his agility, dunking, blocking shots today. Still has more to show!

Walker had a pretty good bounce back game!

Ewing had his moments! 2 block shots! Is he a SF or PF? Think if he focuses on PF he could have a role on this team. He has a nice strong lengthy frame with athleticism – good at rebounding, blocking shots- would love to see him in the pick and role and backup Amare. He is supposedly around 6’9″ according to draftexpress.

  • KnickFan4Life

    Did Garcia play at all?

  • CuBaNGoDzIlLa

Was anyone else hoping that dragon could actually play today. He looked like a huge mf on the sideline. We gotta get a mic on that guy during the season. I want to see him lay people on their ass, look down at them and say “if he dies he dies”. Nice!

  • hkt09

Did the Knicks win? They don’t show Knicks game here in my country.. maybe if the Knicks starts to win they will…

@giantthinker: try this next time realsportz.net

  • Tommy Dees Bodyguard

    classic.

  • KnickFan4Life

I don’t know how Isola could say that when he probably hasn’t even seen a tape of the kid. He’s an idiot. So i’m not surprised. It sucks when NYC doesn’t really have anybody in the main national sports press these days and then our local journalists are morons like Isola…

  • Ray

I like Landry Fields . Nice smooth game. Good jumer. Solid rebounder. He will have a spot on this team. Jordan just looked more aggressive today. I think the coaches got in his ear and he just put in more effort. I think Rautins needs to step in some times and take the two and put in some effort to drive to the basket. Not being so lazy and settling for jumpers.
