    Blooop!

  • Mucha

The link doesn’t work (at least not for me).

  • Joe-V

    BRICK!

  • jg1170

    Me neither.

  • Joe-V

Biggest NBA TRADES EVER::: in no order just the top of my head..

    Lamar Odom for Shaq
    Vince Carter to the Nets
    Tmac and Stevie Francis

Billups for A.I. > that waz the dumbest ever

I don’t know help me out

  • Joe-V

I think the biggest one was Odom/Shaq, at the time Shaq just came off the finals appearance and was still an Allstar player, the whole Kobe thing was going on w/ them two as well…
Ended up working well for both teams

  • HankNight

Don’t forget Dr. J for cash when the Nets came into the league-maybe the worst trade EVER!

  • Bloop33

I know the Lakers acquired Kareem from the bucks for like 5 or 6 players in 75′. Set the Lakers up for the Dynasty that soon followed.

  • CB94

I guess Clyde Drexler to the Rockets doesn’t count. All it did was help the Rockets repeat as Champs. Charles Barkely to Phoenix. Remember that one? Mark Aguirre to Detroit in 89. All these trades resulted in either championships or in Phoenix’s case a trip to the finals.

  • Mucha

    Dave DeBusschere.

    Fatality.

  • PickNY

How bout Amare to NY & Melo & CP3 followed in 2012? That was the biggest since Miami. Yeah right! Find something else to talk about.

  • Bloop33

The Bulls trading the rights of Olden Polynice to Seattle for Scottie Pippen wasn’t a blockbuster, but prob just as important historically as any blockbuster. It certainly changed the course of history for MJ and the Bulls.

  • Bloop33

How bout you get Blooped for that one.

  • ThermoSTAT

The Celtics had the #1 pick and Golden State had the #3 pick. The Celtics traded picks and got Robert Parrish back. Golden State took Joe Barry Carroll, the center from Purdue. The Celtics, who got Parrish, selected Kevin McHale with the third pick. Parrish and McHale for Joe Barry Carroll.

  • ThermoSTAT

Oh yeah, that happened the year after Bird was a rookie.

  • Mucha

    LMAO

  • Joe-V

thats crazy, i didn’t know about that.. lol

  • Joe-V

I know i mentioned this b4 but the Allen Iverson for Chauncy Billups trade was in my opinion the worst i’ve seen, how did Dumars do that one? it was so obvious what Billups did for that team!

I really think Dumars is a horrible GM, he gets so much praise but to me that team assembled was Luck the only great move he made was the deadline deal for Rasheed..

Everything else was Lucky just break it down..

Rip for Stack, Big Ben a 3rd string back up, CHauncy the journeyman, and drafting Prince.. Equals what they did.. Never mind the Darko over Melo, that alone should have him fired even before the trade for Iverson…

  • bluemax

joe barry carrol for parrish and mc hale.

they should have put auerbarch in jail.

    how about gasol.

  • bluemax

darko over melo/wade was the second worse.

portland picking Bowie over MJ was the worse. looks like they did it again with oden over durant.

  • Troublesome

How about Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac

  • Bloop33

Only the “Logo” could’ve seen that jewel of a deal.

  • Marzak

    Kidd (PHX) for Marbury (NJ).

  • JeffM729

    Actually the pick used to get Pippen was originally owned by the Knicks;

November 12, 1986: Traded by the New York Knickerbockers (as a 1987 1st round draft pick) with a 1990 2nd round draft pick (Steve Henson) to the Seattle Supersonics for Gerald Henderson and a 1987 1st round draft pick (Mark Jackson).

June 22, 1987: Traded by the Seattle Supersonics with a 1989 1st round draft pick (Jeff Sanders) to the Chicago Bulls for Olden Polynice, a 1988 2nd round draft pick (Sylvester Gray) and a 1989 1st round draft pick (B.J. Armstrong).

June 22, 1987: Drafted by the Seattle Supersonics in the 1st round (5th pick) of the 1987 NBA Draft.

  • JeffM729

Magic Johnson was selected with the Utah Jazz pick that the Lakers obtained for an aging Gail Goodrich as compensation. Back in those days teams signing free agents gave up draft picks.

  • Joe-V

Thats a good one too, Kidd went to NJ and turned the franchise into winners, i really liked that team it was missing 1 or 2 peices from winning it all.

  • Whodat

A 22 year old Rod Strickland for a 33 year old MO Cheeks! Worst Knick trade ever!

  • http://Knicks.com/ Russ

Moses Malone for Caldwell Jones (plus a 1st round draft pick used to select Rodney McCray)

  • ScottD

What about Garnett to Boston for Al Jefferson and others?
