Ben: Felton is better than Sessions, so don’t feel any type of way. I think Felton is 2nd Tier PG in the League right now, and if D’Antoni can get it out of him he can become Elite and a possible top 5 PG in the league with the group below.

The elite point guards in the league average 11 or better. Ramon Session will be lucky to AVERAGE 7 assists a game. That does not mean he won’t have a few games sprinkled here and there with 12 assists but no way he AVERAGES close to that many.

The former nets us a sure fire superstar, but we can’t sign Melo as a FA.
The latter gives us a potential all star to share duties with Felton for a period of time while acclimating to the NBA. We also would be able to sign Melo.

Who the Hell said that felton is better than Billups? Billups is a much better player than Felton. Billups- Top 5 in the NBA. Felton-I give him top 15. I like Felton but he was not anyones first choice to replace Duhon but he is certainly an upgrade.

ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS??? Felton shot 38% from the 3pt line last year, which was better than everyone on the knicks besides Bill Walker who didn’t take as many. He had a vast improvement from the year before.

We should really stop putting in Turiaf as a possible starting center. He’s a backup that with his condition can’t give you starters minutes over an 82 game season. Nellie said it himself in summer league, Turiaf is the kind of player who can provide 15-20 min off the bench nothing more.

Who care about Sessions? We need to sign a Shooting guard and a PG before the season starts. We can’t go into the season with just Felton and Douglas as our only ball handlers. I sure hope nobody thinks that Rautins is an option. We have not one guard that can handle the job. Chandler, Azubuike, Bill Walker, Fields and Gallo are our only option if Felton or Douglas gets hurt or gets into foul trouble.

We can get Rafer Alston for cheap. I think Jason Williams is also availabe but we should pick up a vet PG before the season starts.

He’s gotta have someone to pass it too. Have you taken a look at the cavs roster?

DaGawD… you are crazy if you think a string of a few big games is representative of what he could do over the course of a full season. if he was good enough to average 12 assists don’t you think that he would have latched on as a starter with a team by now? i mean the people in charge of operations know a lot more about hoops than me or you combined. there is a reason he hasn’t started for a team yet. And he will not start in CLE either, he will be backup to Mo Williams, another ex-Buck.

Felton is way better than Duhon for the simple fact that he can drive and get to the basket. That alone makes him about 10 times better…

Felton already has a much better understanding of how to be an NBA PG than Billups did when he got to Detroit. The thing with Billups was that he needed to be taught how to play the PG position which is what Brown did with him. The rap on Billups was that he was very talented but teams didn’t know how to use the guy because he couldn’t really play PG. I don’t think Felton has the upside Billups had though. Billups was/is more talented…

i’ve been watching felton since his freshman year of college, which he was one of the best pgs in the nation, cause he played in a perfect “SYSTEM” for him. Roy Williams’ run and gun…

i agree, I wass using Billups as an example becuase there game is similar. Both players are Big PG’s who use size & strength, both are PG’s first run the team and can hit a big shot/3 against whoever.

Felton probably will never be the player Billups turned into, but it isn’t that far fetched….
