Absolutely classic. I didn’t even notice him wearing the Yalmulke until it was brought up lol.

Celebrating Shabbat(sp?) and not eating the bread on passover, just wow.

Also awesome was him hesitating and choosing his words very carefully about Lebron. Did he say Lebron should have brought more culture to his decision?

    lol. Amare’s the man.

He said “More Kosher”… Not Cultured.

It’s cool too get to know about our players like this.

For some reason this reminded me (not saying it is the same or not) of the old Knicks where numerous players were spiritual and believed and stressed their success through hard work and God. For example Charlie Ward, Larry Johnson, and Allan Houston.

  • tinomartinezfan

    I’m loving this guy.

  • Rome1988

Hopefully success can come to Amare and the New York Knicks.

    I believe it will.

  • ds2488

oh. That’s still funny anyway. He’s still the man.

  • BobNorthFace

knickstweets.net blogged this hours before slam, not sure why you gave slam credit?

  • fauci933

    Who cares?

  • BobNorthFace

    seems recycled, that’s all…

  • BobNorthFace

seems like a pattern lately…last week TKB ripped off a Posting & Toasting Mozgov video, but finger-pointed another source. Gotta keep it in the family that’s all.

  • Joe-V

Well atleast we know the media is going to love him now ;)

  • BobNorthFace

loved and will miss David Lee, but Amar’e brings an energy to this team/city that has not been here since Latrell Sprewell.

  • Tommy Dee

    please elaborate…

I know I said forget Lebron but this is toooo funny.

I had no idea he was such an intelligent guy. He seemed so selfish, undisciplined and angry after watching him only a few times a year, and I thought he peed D’A off and was part of the reason D’A bolted the Suns. But Amar’e seems to be made for NYC. Makes LBJ look like a total coward! Big kudos to Amar’e for talking openly about his interest in Judaism. Will he grow dreads? LOL!

  • BobNorthFace

may not have a life, but I follow the knicks intently (RSS feeds help). last week P&T had that mozgov NBA playbook video up and then TKB posted same thing 2 hours later and fingerpointed NBA playbook, not P&T. no biggie, but noticed it happened again today.

  • ScottD

    The media, or Marc Berman?

  • Tommy Dee

sebastian from nbaplaybook sent the mozgov link to me and i was away from the computer then posted it. Seth knows what I’m about.

I saw this one on Slam. What can I say other than I’ll try to pay more attention?

  • ARNY

I respect amare , and DAMMMMMMMMM , i cant wait for sum training camp news……

  • Mucha

Amar’e has always been one of the most intelligent players in the NBA. You can see it in his eyes.

  • jws366

I wonder how seriously he is going to take this. He said he would celebrate shabbat…the problem is you’re not allowed to work on shabbat at all (friday sundown to saturday sundown).

I know he wouldn’t actually do that, but how NYK would that be if it really became an issue.
