    Greatest. Knick. Ever. Hands. Down.

  • Jimbo

Greatest player of all time who never won a championship (don’t give me that Barkley / Malone / Stockton nonesense!!).

  • ScottD

    Greatest Knick not named “Clyde”!

  • bartnyk

    Happy Bday Pat!!!

  • krayziehustler

agreed, Malone has not excuse, Ewing never got to play with a Hall of Fame point gaurd. Imagine if he did

  • KnickFan4Life

    Happy B-day Pat!

  • ds2488

+1. Pat’s the 2nd best, Clyde is the best, and WIllis Reed is the 3rd best.

But I am biased when it comes to Clyde because he’s just absolutely the coolest person in the world.

  • ds2488

    Happy Bday Patrick!

  • HaS

Me and Pat share the same birthday 8) , Happy Bornday to my fellow Leo Patrick Ewing.

Happy B-day HaS but after Pat of course! lol

  • grahambo86
  • ds2488

    LOL

I also love how he calls all rookies “young neophytes”

But that’s an awesome list Grahambo

  • ds2488

    lol. Happy birthday HaS

  • bmathews77

Happy Birthday Patrick! Hope you get that championship ring as an assistant coach / head coach one day.

  • tsertain

I love you Patrick. It’s a shame that you never got gifted a title, and in fact, got so many stripped away from you – by the greatness of Michael Jordan and by the anti-New York bias of the referees

  • HomeOfTheJets

    You forgot “Wheeling and Dealing”

But this is hilarious. I love clyde’s phrases. I wish there was some more!!!!!

  • grahambo86

All I did was google it so I can’t take credit for having it saved to my desktop. lol IT made me laugh though.

  • KnickFan4Life

I’ve heard Clyde argue often he wasn’t even the best Knick during that era. He’s always said Willis was the best. I never watched Clyde play only in tapes. To me personally Ewing is all-time greatest Knick but I’m admitedly biased since he is the best Knick I grew up watching…

  • kyosuke1x

HAHAH yea i was gonna say wheeling and dealing. And tenacious d.

  • HaS

    LOL

    Thanks guys.

  • DatNewYorker

    +1

  • HaS

I like it when he says “uh-uh” when the shot is off, he never gets it wrong lol.

A couple more you missed “usin’ and abusin’”, “dupin’ and hoopin’”. I know there are a few more too.

I also like when he says a player is having an “auspicious start” to his game.

  • luvdah8ters

    PAT!!!

  • k-hodge

    Happy Birthday Patrick!

  • dino of syracuse

    Happy birthday Patrick!

He was hated when he played against the Orangemen back in the day…the crowd was absolutely bananas.

I remember some great battles against Rony Siekaly. The Syracuse vs. Georgetown rivalry was at its peak back then! Now that would make for a great DVD!

Then, it was tough to see him in a Knicks uniform, but he went down as one of the best Knicks ever. A sweet jumper and some serious inside presence…and no one can sport those knee pads, wrist bands, or sweat as profusely as Number 33!

Let’s all have a beer for the old center today. P-Ewing should definitely be involved more with NY.

  • dino of syracuse

Has, happy birthday! Drink at least two beers today…

  • dino of syracuse

    Awesome list!

    “Knicks beginning to percolate!”

    “Chris BARSH…”

  • KnickFan4Life

Yeah it’s a shame he’s not involved more in the franchise. I thought guys like Ewing and Oak would be more involved with the players and stuff, it hasn’t worked out the way I hoped…

  • Jimbo

    “Swiss cheese D by Lee”

  • HaS

    No doubt dino, no doubt.

    Thanks.

  • Tommy Dee

    happy B-Day HaS…

  • Back to D

Aaaannnd at center, at 7 feet from Georgetown, number 33, co-captin, PA-TRICK EWING!!

  • fredweis

    +1

  • Showstopper232

    Happy Birthday BIG FELLA

  • urban analrapist

    Happy B-Day, Great Warrior.

  • TG

Not one turnaround J from the left baseline in the whole vid.

The thing about him as opposed to other ‘greats’ was not just the O, but the rebounding, the D also.

And, I’ll always wonder what might have been if Starks/Riley had given him the ball in game #7– Damn sure wouldn’t have gone 2 for 18.

  • dreamer3kx

Awesome, cant wait until NYC b-ball is back, greatest arena to play in the playoffs, no doubt about it.

  • YO SON

    Happy Birthday PE…

  • Mucha

    LMAO

    He’s a genius

  • Mucha

    Hahahaha great observation

I love it when he says “hoho!” like a Grandfather when a young/unknown player’s doing something good.

  • Mucha

Happy birthday – just come back
