About Myles A. Mills

Myles is a sophomore at The Browning School, an all-boys private school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He's been a Knick fan as long as he can remember, and 02-03 was the last season he could remember in entirety. He hopes to one day see the Knicks in the playoffs. Myles is also fond of the Mets, and follows them vehemently, but his the bulk of his time goes to the Knicks. Myles wants to be a radio hosts on WFAN or ESPN 1050 radio, and he hopes to write for theknicksblog.com for years to come. View all posts by Myles A. Mills →

    Great move.

  • HaS

And another solid GM is off the market while the Knicks continue to sit on their hands.

  • HaS

On second thought maybe he didn’t want the GM duties and would rather be in the president of basketball operations role.

Can Pritchard even get an interview? Geez.

  • The_Guy

Knicks are busy chasing Isiah while Rod Thorn, one of the best GMs in the NBA gets hired by a division rival. Nice.

  • KnickKam

    knicks

  • blackwood

76ers will get better with him.

  • bklyn ton

We still have a tough road ahead of us. And everyone around us is getting better everyday.

  • Bloop33

Well he didn’t land Lebron either, so according to “Dolan thinking” Thorn prob wouldn’t be safe from a imminent future Zeke coup d’état lol.

    The NBA is stupid

    good move by philly

  • BiggieSmalls

pritchard is Waaaay too smart to be involved with Dolan.

the checketts experience cemented it. no one with any long term career goals will come to work in this organization.

  • Dylan

I thought Donnie wasn’t given the green light to hire a GM…

  • KnickKam

    thanks to dolan

  • ds2488

    sad but probably true.

Maybe if we start winning for once, and I’m sure we could pay people a lot of money.

  • ds2488

    Good hire for the 76ers

  • ds2488

They definitely got the better end of the deal/exchange.

  • Ftingue

Dang I didn’t know we could trade GM’s maybe thats why we signed Isaiah so we could package him in a deal with Eddy Curry . lol

  • Knicks4life

Wow a team with a team president AND a GM.

Who would of thought that was even possible.

  • gianthinker

TJ Ford as a backup PG at the minimum?

  • moderatethis

    +1

  • blackwood

He may run to the heat or another team trying to win right now.

  • giantg

It seems Walsh needs to keep his power consolidated so there is one sane voice within the orgaization that can keep Dolan from his destructive instincts. Otherwise a sixtysomething year old team president working full time while recovering from surgery without the aid of a gm doesn’t make a lot of sense. The fact that there is great front office talent out there getting hired away from NY is maddening.

  • HaS

The Knicks have to overpay to get any real talent though. People always dismiss this fact, but it’s true.

No one is ever (until NY is winning championships back to back or forming a dynasty) going to take a discount to play/work here.

    What ever happened to this?

Can’t knock the Knicks for not going after Rod Thorn. Doesn’t mean he wanted to come to the Knicks. Maybe the Russian asked him not to come to the Knicks, anywhere else but. Just speculation on my part.

  • fredweis

Good for the Sixers, hopefully Thorn & Collins can make them competetive. Shouldn’t take long, as they have a lot of parts. I already had them as a sleeper to make the playoffs.

Also good for the Knicks, as the Sixers are a divisional rival. If they improve it keeps pressure on our front office.

  • fredweis

Already wanted him as our backup before the trade.

TJ won’t accept a buyout. We need to find a third team to take Curry’s expiring.

Pacers will want a mix of expirings and youth. With Murphy gone and Hansborough still rehabbing, they need a 4.

  • TG

I hate to say it, but as long as Dolan owns the knicks……….
    …………..

  • ridiculous upside

    Ball-stopper + can’t shoot. Pass.

  • ridiculous upside

Ehh, I like Rod but besides the 2 finals appearances his win % is not very good. Years of mediocrity.
