Catch Anthony “Rice Balls” Donahue as he carries you through the 9 PM hour tonight.

Plenty to talk about on the show, most notably notion that Carmelo Anthony to NY is a real possibility.  There are many differing opinions not only on whether the Knicks should pursue the superstar, but also what a fair package would be to get him.

Again, plenty to talk about and as always, give Anthony a shout and voice your opinion.

that’s a nice pic of rautins..

  • Jeff C

I don’t know why people keep mentioning Melo being a weak rebounder. He’s the 4th best rebound SF in the league under durant, lebron, and deng. (5th if you count gerald wallace as a SF, which he isn’t.)

But i also agree with all the ‘efficiency’ (or lack there of) arguments.

  • PipeDreamin

    hahhaha

  • brookdon

Efficiency statistics are flawed they don’t take all situations into effect.

    Aka

What about when there’s one second left on the shot clock and a player shoots the ball up and misses it. His efficiency “stats” go down. What about at the end of quarters when players chuck up threes just to see if they could make it. Regular things like that will drop those “numbers”.

  • CircleLimit4

I bet there is a Hollinger stat somewhere that factors out those situations.

  • brookdon

There are wwaaaayy to many possible situations out there in which a statistical log can factor them out. It all comes down to whether or not you believe a player who averaged 26pts and 6 rbs at 46% shooting is a good player or not.

  • PickNY

26 points and 6 rebounds is just what it is without trying to figure out how many attempts. Does it matter. He’ll NO!

  • CircleLimit4

I dunno, synergy sports and other stat engines are really in depth.

“It all comes down to whether or not you believe a player who averaged 26pts and 6 rbs at 46% shooting is a good player or not.”

Lol that’s not all it comes down to.

  • Melo2NYplz

    lmaooo

  • HaS

lol he could probably give Rautins a run for his money.

  • YO SON

    haha……

  • HaS

I think people are under the impression that I don’t want the Knicks to sign Carmelo, my questions/concerns aside, if he is available they have to get him.

  • KnickKam

    No doubt

  • Jeff C

yea same here has. I’m not saying his TS% makes him “not a good player,” I’m just saying it’s a valid argument for why he’s maybe not as good as everyone thinks he is. Of course you sign him for as much as you can, the trade is another question but i guess when it comes down to it you have to do it.

BUT if he’s not going anywhere and he’s under contract and wants to come here, no reason to rush. Let’s see what our team looks like at least for a few months.

  • Jeff C

    That couldn’t make less sense.

  • brookdon

I can’t believe people are arguing on whether or not to go after the best player we would have in years bs Gallinari, a player who will average 26 pts 6rbs at 46% shooting

As I skimmed I read the Chris Paul had a higher efficientcy then MJ. Wow.
