Amare has played 82, 79, 53 (eye injury) and 82 games in the last 4 seasons, respectively. That’s a lot more than bosh in the same span, just for comparison. In those 4 seasons, he has averaged about 23 points, 9 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and shot over 56% from the field in 34 minutes a game, missing a total of 3 games that weren’t due to an eye injury.

In one of those seasons he scored 25 points a game at 59% That’s sick, but besides the point:

He is obviously healthy and in his prime at 27 years old, and I think a lot of people are overstating his “exploding knees” in their arguments. People are treating him like McGrady.

have u met grandma rice balls yet?

  • HaS

    Tell the insurance company that.

  • clydetheglyde

I dont think it means much that an insurance company didnt insure a guy who had major knee surgery. It just means that he had major knee surgery.

  • HaS

    Uh… yeah!

  • clydetheglyde

Im just trying to say that the insurance thing doesnt mean anything more than we already knew.

  • HaS

Never said it did. I was responding to Jeff who said people are “overstating” his injury history. I somewhat agree, but the fact remains there is a reason insurance companies will not insure it.
