Wilson Chandler

@imilly21: About 85 RT @Giaps: @imilly21 What percent would you say you're at?

Great snag by the man Tommy G…

  • jlef1

As long as that number is up to 100% towards the end of training camp its nothing to worry about… Wilson is a hard worker so he will be doing anything possible to get back to 100

  • CircleLimit4

    He’s back on twitter again?

  • HaS

Wait. He’s not 100% either? Sheesh.

  • ds2488

lol. That’s not good. Wilson’s going to need to be 100 obviously.

  • KNICKAPLEASE77

Not worried we got money mase to hold down the 2 spot untill he gets back we have enough depth to not miss him for a couple of games or so

  • bob go knicks

well he really is 100%,it just when hes stoned he lists it at 85

  • traps9

    Lol

  • KnickFan4Life

Hmmm I would have thought higher than 85. I hope there are no lingering issues…

  • KnickFan4Life

    that’s mean…

  • KnickFan4Life

He’s shown he can play through pain, although I’d rather he get completely healthy. He seems like the type to hide stuff and play through it.

  • starksoakmase

Yea, I have no problem starting the season with Mason starting and TD splitting time as the backup PG and SG.

Mason comes from a winning situation and has something to prove. He wants to show that he deserves the starting spot when Wilson and Buike are 100%.

  • CircleLimit4

    hahaha

  • NoVaCaInE

That was actually pretty lame! He’s been tested and came up clean. That w*#d wasn’t his. The moderation feature sucks!!!

  • Brad Lohaus 54

so gallo has a bad back. amare has a bad knee and eye. wilson is 85%, and our 3 GS guys had season ending injuries last year

    nice!

  • NEW KNICKS, NO REGRETS!

    @brad,

Dude have you seen NFL’s injury list on Thursday nites,,there is a injury comment on every single player on the team (50-80 guys) and when sunday comes around every single one is active and playing…. we have a month b4 the start of pre-season… relax… they all be ready to go…

  • HaS

    “The moderation feature sucks!!!”

Hey they let you say “sucks” LMAO.

    I agree though.

  • HaS

The NFL plays a game once a week.

Just thought I’d throw that out there.

  • Brad Lohaus 54

more than half our rotation is injury prone. there is some reason to worry, I won’t dismiss it

  • bob go knicks

    lighten up frances,its a joke

  • jlef1

I would probably rather have Wilson at 85 or 90% then Rodger Mason at the starting 2 guard… I like the guy coming off the bench to shoot but Rodger Mason is no longer a starting nba guard on a team that has high expectations for themselves like the knicks do

  • bob go knicks

although i agree, its sad to note that Roger Mason is prolly the best 2 weve had since crawford was traded

  • flossy

He was the starting SG on the Spurs 2 years ago… They’re a whole lot better than the Knicks. And he’s only 29, not exactly old.

  • Brad Lohaus 54

he really lit it up last year……………..

  • HaS

“I like the guy coming off the bench to shoot but Rodger Mason is no longer a starting nba guard on a team that has high expectations for themselves like the knicks do

The 7th or 8th seed are “high expectations”? The Knicks aren’t above Mason as the starting 2, he’s won more than Chandler and Azubuike combined.

  • KNICKAPLEASE77

+1. Chandler at 85 Percent rather than money mase?

  • paul1355

Chandler has been hurt every year. I would like to see him healthy for a whole year and off season. He will never grow if his injuries always hinder him. His injuries makes him the #1 trade bait.

  • BiggieSmalls

looks like those on Chandler’s jock were talking out it when they proclaimed WC ready to go and working hard on improving his game. how is he working on improving his game if he is only 85% healthy?

Seriously though.. this is very disappointing. I thought he was fully recovered and in the Gym working to improve.

  • KnickFan4Life

I heard he got stronger and was working on his game too. So that is why I am thrown off by this 85% comment. Has he been working out hurt? Don’t get it…or maybe he meant he had reached 85% of his goal for the offseason. Who knows. Chandler isn’t the greatest with words…

  • KnickFan4Life

You do realize Gallo and Amare both came off healthy seasons?

  • Brad Lohaus 54

    85% Wilson = Evan Turner.

    We just got Evan Turner!!

  • Brad Lohaus 54

    Yes, I do. Thanks

  • jlef1

If you ask the Knicks players I think they would say they expect to be better then a 7th or 8th seed… Roger Mason never won a title… he was a starter guard on a team with one of the best power forwards of all time and an all star point guard in tony parker.. he scored 12 points a game.. chandler is a much better defender, rebounder, and finisher… Mason had one good shooting year with the spurs and it was because he sat on the wing waiting for tim duncan to get double teamed… we thought

  • jlef1

we thought q rich was a starting 2 guard after he had a career year with the suns… Chandler is a much better player then mason… the knicks need to become a better defensive team and a better rebounding team… chandler can do both and mason can’t do either

  • ds2488

    lol. I’m guessing that’s sarcasm?

I’d say Wilson is maybe 50% of Evan Turner.

  • KnickFan4Life

Evan Turner isn’t anything yet. Not in the NBA. He hasn’t done jack squat yet…

  • KnickFan4Life

Mason is a decent defender. Guys don’t play mins in SA if they don’t play defense…

  • KnickFan4Life

    Just reminding you.

  • moderatethis

Chandler is a warrior he’ll be ready and I have no doubt that he would play hurt if the games mattered.

  • starksoakmase

I totally agree that Chandler is better than Mason, but I still think Mason should start. I like the idea of having a strong bench.

  • starksoakmase

Anyone who actually plays sports knows that you can be in the gym working on your game and keeping in shape but not feel 100%. The two are not mutually exclusive.

  • starksoakmase

People around here constantly misuse the term “injury prone”

Hey Tommy can we get a working definition of the term posted at all times?

injury prone: someone who is often injured with reocurring or various injuries.

I’m not sure about Turiaf’s injusy history, other then his heart, but other than that, my only concern is Wilson.

  • flossy

He injured his shooting hand last year…….

  • Giaps

Chandler has already Tweeted many times that he’s been training and he’s been at the practice facility with his teammates. He’ll be good by training camp and even better by the start of the season.

  • CircleLimit4

This account isn’t verified by twitter. Are we sure it’s really him? I’ve followed Chandler on twitter as illwil21. But he canceled that twitter because of negativity.

  • PickNY

The man is being honest and leaving room for wanting to be at 100% according to his own standards, not yours, so stop trippin! Reading too much into just speculating about nothing! Wilson plays hard and that’s all I can ask from him.

  • bob go knicks

Wilson Chandler is’nt a much better player than anybody

  • http://www.youtube.com/tharealest62qb DaGawD_KnowLedge

i heard thru the GRAPEVINE chandler isn’t even 60 percent an if he doesn’t let himself get 100% he will have a short nba career.
