According to Hoopsworld, the Timberwolves are in discussion with the Raptors to trade Flynn and the #2 for Demar Deroazan and the 5.

  • Anonymous

Why would the raptors want Flynn with Calderon and Bayless…Maybe it’s more about the number 2 pick.

  • Guest

    My choices at #17

    Charles Jenkins
    Klay Thompson
    Marshon Brooks
    Nikola Vucevic

  • Anonymous

As weird as it sounds, Flynn would be an upgrade over both of those two. Bayless is more of a combo guard off the bench.

Flynn+Derrick Williams would be a great draft for them. Or if they want, they can draft Kanter and move Bargnani to his natural 4.

  • Anonymous

Nice picks, but I think only Jenkins will be left when the Knicks get their turn.

  • Anonymous

Hmm that actually makes some sense for both teams if you think about it. Williams would be a great pick for the Raptors, who need a player that can bring excitement back to that organization. Flynn would also get a fresh start in a different system.

It makes sense for Minny, because Williams is clearly the 2nd best player, but they already have Love, Beasley, and Randolph, as well as Johnson who is really a SF. The last thing they need (besides a PG) is another forward. The trade would give them a starting SG, and would allow them to draft a C like Biyombo with the #5 pick. I gotta admit, a lineup of Rubio, DeRozan, Johnson, Love, and Biyombo with Beasley and Ridnour coming off the bench would get me pretty excited if I was a Wolves fan.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3RGKXYRB3RFODDMZLHZFE7JGFE NAC

I would rather have Calderon. I didn’t like Flynn out of college (6th pick???? KAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNN!!!!) and he has obviously not done anything to change my mind.

  • Anonymous

I’m pretty sure Brooks and Vucevic will be around at 17

  • Anonymous

Flynn  is from Niagara falls.. a stones throw from Toronto.

  • Anonymous

I have a feeling this will be the Goudelock show.

  • Anonymous

Agreed. I have my doubts on whether Brooks can bring significant help in the perimeter. He’s shown the ability to score, but for his physical tools he could be a good defender, yet I’ve heard the opposite.
    Who knows what DW’s thinking.

  • Anonymous

Rubio’s gonna have a hard time adjusting to the NBA, let alone that triangle offense that’s been so succesful for Rambis and Minny. They’re gonna have a great, cheap, young core.
No doubt that Minny has a lot to look forward to. If that trade goes down.

  • Guest

Reason I like Jenkins as the best available 2 guard at #17. Jenkins is very strong.Built like D.Wade.Overall, Thompson is a lengthy wing with good height, okay athleticism, and off the charts basketball IQ.  More than likely, Klay is a mid-first round pick that will play in the NBA for a long time based on his ability to shoot.  He is crafty enough to get some points attacking the rim if defenders close out on him too strongly in an attempt to block the jumper, but his upside as a creator is limited unless he can considerably tighten up his ball handling.Klay is likely going to start in this league due to his efficient scoring.  While he has glaring holes in speed and strength, his strengths in shooting, skill, length, basketball IQ wrapped up with just enough athleticism should allow him to make a consistent positive impact on the court.Read more: http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/chicago-bulls-confidential/2011/06/klay-thompson-draft-profile.html#ixzz1OcuURfHJ

They need to trade Bargnani before DeRozan.

  • Anonymous

I liked Bargnani at first, but he actually makes Dirk Nowitzki look like Bill Russell with his defense.

I know I can’t ever take this back, but Bargnani might be a worse defender than _avi_ Lee.  Might lol.

  • Anonymous

eh, they all stink.  Calderon was one of the most overrated players in the NBA for a couple of years, and then everyone realized that he’s a slow, non defending player.

Bayless is talented, but he is a shooting guard.

Flynn is at least a pg, but he’s just not very good.

  • Anonymous

A back court of Derozan and Rubio is all drive and no outside shooting.

Derozan is nice but Minny should look for a team with a gunner to compliment Rubio’s lack of an outside game.

    Good deal for Toronto though.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_K2GJP6JV6II7ERBYC6G7PVQJPA Witold Mucha

Bargnani is at best a bench player on a contender.

He’s too much of a liability on the defensive end of the floor/on the boards to be a starting center and he’s not quick nor skilled enough to be a starting power forward in this league IMO.

  • Anonymous

I don’t know how accurate NBA Draftnet is but they have Jenkins going #61. We need to buy some late 1st/ 2nd round picks to grab talent that falls thru the cracks. Got alotta holes to fill!!!

  • Anonymous

I think Toronto is down on Calderon.

  • Anonymous

There’s a nice little write-up on Vucevic by ESPN’s Chris Sheridan.  Definitely an intriguing prospect, if not really athletic.  It would be nice to somehow acquire one more pick.

  • Guest

He will never fall past the Bulls who need an option for D.Rose.Also the Nets are very high on Jenkins. He is the best shooter in the draft(except for Jimmer).Jenkins proved it against elite teams.

  • Anonymous

Calderon = Poor Man’s Derrick Rose?

  • Anonymous

Too soon to tell, I think having 3 throwaway years would have been the time to take a chance on him, not now.

His staff after one hiring is already better than _’antoni’s though.

  • Anonymous

I notice the team is brining in a lot of seniors and juniors, I think that’s a good idea. It makes it more likely that they’ll be able to hit the ground running and contribute right away.

I would still like to bring in a raw, high risk, high reward player with another pick if we can get one (hopefully our front office is being creative).

  • Anonymous

We missed out on the opportunity for him to get two plus years in NY with no pressure to win while Donne stripped the roster

I agree the Mike Malone hire was better than any hire _antoni has made to date

Too bad he cannot play defense…

  • Anonymous

My bad, I didn’t know he’d been fired?
Has he? I haven’t heard of anything.

  • Anonymous

Definitely right on that one, but Derozan’s shooting got a lot better last season (specially with the stronger minutes he got), and with work he can get the range. He’s already a good player and good slasher. It’s a good deal both ways imo.
Bayless can play the SG and Flynn can learn from an experienced PG that’ll get reduced time to open up minutes for the kid.

  • Anonymous

The coach still dreams of having a sharpshoot big man instead of a post player.
In the interviews he would simply state: “you he helps a lot with our spacing and really brings a strong presence and a big man on the floor”.

    I can see it.

  • Anonymous

Flynn is an absolute horror show.  I watched a lot of Minnesota basketball in the second half and he was atrocious.  Maybe he wasn’t fully recovered from his injuries, but he’s not even a backup as of last year. He might not even be an
    NBA player

  • Anonymous

I like the kid and suggested it a while back but it received “strong backlash” (lol) due to his weak upper body strength. Still I take Tyler or Vucevic over him. If Walsh’s misses out on those 2 (flat out mistake) he should look at him though.

    Anyway…

  • Guest

The Miami Heat have the superstars and will  beat up on the favored Mavs.

  • Anonymous

Not every PG’s can play the triangle offense. Kind of renders the whole “it’s a league’s PG” saying obsolete.
I think Flynn can do well in any other style of bball. He was picked early (6 was too high for him) but he’s definitely in the top 15 players of that draft.

  • Anonymous

Agreed on your 2nd point. At his strength Bayless makes for a better SG since his distribution skills aren’t great, but he’s definitely a good player to have on your rotation.
I think many here underestimate Flynn because of his poor 1st year -and getting picked way too early for the other guys available- on a difficult system in an overall bad team with a young coach.

  • Guest

While Knicks fans fret about the possibility of Isiah Thomas returning to New York, the Detroit Pistons are considering Thomas for their vacant head coaching position, according to league sources. ESPN

The only thing better would be D’Antoni leaving the Knicks for a buyout.

  • Anonymous

Don’t expect them to be so creative. Their past has shown them to be “conservative” at best. The Jordan Hill was pretty creative though, no doubt.

  • Anonymous

Hmmm… I’d take a flyer on him in the 2nd round.

  • Anonymous

2nd round, assign him to a European program for later.

  • Anonymous

not yet. but his option hasnt been picked up

  • Anonymous

While guarding Jason Terry,LBJ looks over at him smiling calling him Mo Williams.  The biggest reason LBJ went to Miami was that he was Dirk in Cleveland with a lesser supporting cast.

Even Kobe could do with a lesser cast. Before Shaq and even after shaq Kobe had major issues trying to win a ring.  He alienated his teammates royally.

  • Anonymous

Truth be told, Thomas would win a ring coaching before Pringles!

  • Anonymous

    Barea in the starting lineup?

    Miami 3-1 series lead.

Them starting Barea (who I hate) almost makes me want to root for Miami this game lol.

  • Anonymous

    That’s cold man, cold.

  • Anonymous

I’d like a coaching change just as much as the next guy, but you’ve gotta cool those jets my man… That sounded too much like an “IT for coach” endorsement…..I actually prefer Mike in this scenario

  • Anonymous

I hate Dirk and his fake fronts teeth.

  • Anonymous

yeah, now LBJ can sit back and watch Wade do his thing.  I can’t wait until they win the championship and Lebron starts crying about how tough it was.

1st and 2nd best player in the NBA teamed up with an allstar caliber third option.  It’s a total disgrace.

  • Anonymous

Bench player on a contender is a bit harsh, but he shouldn’t be in anyone’s big 3 much less a franchise player and focal point of an offense.

  • Anonymous

He should use Carl Landry’s teeth that are still buried in Dirk’s elbow.

  • Guest

They need Stephenson to defend the Heat.

  • Anonymous

    Too much?

You’re right, too easy to get carried away.

This draft’s critical, so maybe it’s better if they look for the most NBA ready players they can find.
If they get creative (in your sense of the word, hopefully not mine), I really hope it pays off because there are some really interesting prospects in this draft.

  • Anonymous

When I think of big, I don’t think of height. I think of role they play. Generally a 4 or 5 who can rebound and/or block shots.

Gallo, Rashard Lewis, Peja and Hedo are 6’10 but I wouldn’t call them “bigs.” Humphries is 6’9 and Milsap is 6’8, but I would classify them as a big.

This series isn’t even close in my opinion.

You gotta have at least two players who can create their own shot and force the defense to make adjustments to beat Miami in a 7-game series and Dallas only has one. The Mavericks always put themselves in a hole when Nowitzki’s sitting on the bench.

I have thought LeBron was the best player in the league for a long time now, and while in terms of pure talent he still is, I can’t help but think he isn’t even the best player on his own team. Wade has been outstanding, not only with his scoring but his hustle in every aspect of the game plus his blatant crunch time leadership. That being said, this game just got awesome in the last minute I’ve been typing this. Let’s go Mavs!

  • Anonymous

LeBron has accepted the Scottie Pippen role in the finals for Wade’s much needed Jordan role.  In certain ways you respect it because if he forced the issue the team would probably not win the finals.  In other ways he can no longer be spoken of as an all-time great, at least until Wade is further on the decline and LeBron takes over in years to come.

Confirmation bias? Game 1 was an “easy” win for Miami. Game 2 was one of the most incredible games in NBA Finals history with Dallas ending the game with a 22-5 run and I thought the Mavericks never were in control of Game 3 though the game was tied with a minute left to play. I’m rooting for Dallas by the way.

I remember when many people here were convinced that it was only a matter of time before LeBron would be a Knick and they argued me to death that he was better than Wade and I disagreed. Now that they’ve been spurned by the King they can’t shower Wade with enough praise, while at the same time shoveling dirt on LeBron’s legacy.

    LOL

LeBron is 26, he’s actually going to get better if he continues to work on his game. For some perspective Jordan won his first ring when he was a year older then James is now I believe.

Edit: As Wade chokes at the line lol.

You’re neglecting the 2+ years of pro experience LeBron has at this stage of his career over Jordan.  The Jordan comparisons are silly.  Everyone is so quick to compare to Jordan before they even approach his level.

Wade is actually the better comparison to Jordan, they just never kept a good enough team around him, and wasted a good 3 years of his career.  Plus he’s not as durable as Jordan.

Edit: But Jordan DOESN’T miss clutch free throws or turnover the ball on last second plays.

  • Anonymous

Hey NAC, what’s the midlevel exception again?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_3RGKXYRB3RFODDMZLHZFE7JGFE NAC

In reality: Game 1 was 75-72 with 3 minutes left. Game 2 was a run followed by a run that ended with Dallas ahead. Game 3 was obviously tight. Tonight has been the same way.

To clarify, this isn’t saying something about you… people are hard-wired to look at things this way. Miami has the Big 3 and should be winning, so when they do something it feels normal and when Dallas does something it feels like an aberration–but both teams have been matching each other. We all assume Miami has another gear to go to despite the fact that it never comes out.

Why should his age matter?  Plenty of young people has extremely rash views, it has plenty to do with upbringing, especially the Mormon culture since it is so isolated, there is little room for “escape” so to speak as your surrounded by devout Mormons throughout most of your young life.  Nurture plays a large role, especially in such a niche religion, because they want to pass down their traditions as fervently as possible.  I’m not saying Jimmer is a racist or anything, but HaS’ questioning of the matter isn’t out of line.  It’s not like some of the prior discussion here of racism linked to the Chandler-Gallo or Walsh-IT debates where it was just exposing agenda, his claim (not even a claim just informed speculation) was rooted in absolute reason, no need to extend his comment to all other situations involving different races working together.  I’ve sat back and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt sometimes, as sometimes you have real opinions, but it’s gotten a bit out of hand man.  Hurts me to say it too since your icon is the logo to my favorite show haha, but oh well.

I hope LeBron shows up and goes hard core.  Him trying to be the lead scorer will probably lead to a loss.  They have the right formula, they just need more from him, not 40 more pts, but 10-15 more.  LeBron isn’t demanding a hard double that he has commanded his whole career, things should be easy for him to get easy buckets.  Heat have morphed him into a facilitator/3pt/longjump shooter who will dunk on transition.  LeBron should be able to get to the hoop any time he wants when he’s got kidd/terry on him. But instead he’s trying to hit a wide open chalmers/miller/whoever.  Your a superstar, act like it.

  • Anonymous

they wanted to play together in a sunny place with little pressure. I dont think it’s deflecting criticism. They took the easiest way, simple as that. It’s fine as they are free to do whatever they want. But it didn’t exactly elevate my opinion on them either..

  • Anonymous

lol no kidding. Wade and LeBron are two of the top 3 players in the NBA. I think this series should make fans optimistic though. Like the Knicks, the Mavs two best players are poor defenders. They make up for it though because they have a good coach, a couple very good defenders in Stevenson and Chandler, and they make smart decisions at the end of games. If we can find a coach that stresses defense, and we improve at a couple positions (especially on the defensive end), I think we should be able to compete with any team in the league.

Btw as far as the big 3 in NY thing goes, it would have been extremely difficult imo. A couple things would have needed to happen.

#1 We would have needed to package Curry and Gallo in a trade to clear cap space.

#2 Donnie would have needed to tamper, which would have been more difficult for us, because Riley already had Wade.

#3 The big 3 would have needed to prefer NY over South Beach, which is hard to imagine when you consider the weather, no income tax, and Wade already played there.

  • Anonymous

HaS’s questioning is completely out of line. There is no basis to even consider him being a racist. There is plenty of reason to KNOW it is preposterous. This is a guy who grew up in the Northeast AAU circuit and is now about to be an NBA draft pick. It brings into question anything HaS ever has or will say about him.

His age matters because the 1970s Mormon Church made a huge effort to remove all that garbage from its texts and practices. Jimmer Fredette wouldn’t have learned any of that. Kind of like how people don’t learn to stone their kids for insubordination in their churches on Sunday. There are plenty of people who use the Bible to justify racism, slavery, misogyny and what else too–that doesn’t mean that’s what every person who uses it believes. The onus is on the accuser to have proof before he goes into crap like that.

You don’t just throw that kind of thing around. But that’s how HaS operates.

The one thing I liked a lot that I have been begging Dallas to do since game 1 was pressure LeBron and Wade as the bring up the ball and as they pound it outside the arc.  Neither is a particularly good ball handler.  The more you make them work to get the ball up the court and inside the arc the more turnovers and poor possessions you will get out of them.  You give them space you give them open lanes to pass and drive through.  You can’t be scared the pressure them bc they might blow right by you, you have to rely on the help defender to close off the lane.  Dallas did a much better job of that today.

Another thing I would like to see Dallas do going forward is to set their feet in the paint and anticipate the charge when Wade comes to the basket.  They always leave their feet to challenge the drive, those lead to way more fouls than blocks.  They should be taking a lot more charges.

  • Anonymous

Unbelievable.  I was tempted to turn the game off when the Heat went up 9 because it just seemed like Dallas was overwhelmed.

But seriously, amazing how resilient they are.  Every game with them.  I love this team.

the thing though is every time he goes in the paint the defense collapses on him (Lebrons not that hard to figure out).

the heat need to morph him into a more consistent 3pt/longjump shooter who will dunk on transition. Unlike some here I still don’t buy the he’s “clutch” or he’s a more “consistent” shooter, his shot has improved, yes but its not consistent imo.

Well I don’t know if they’re not in the FINALS. I think Miami would have been talented enough to get there..but without Wade then it would come down to Bron and Bosh and I don’t think those 2 would be enough against these Mavericks. It’s not like Dallas is really getting their @$$es handed to them. In games 2,3,4 they’ve been in a position to win all 3. It’s has really been the D Wade show in Dallas. I look for LeBron to bounce back in game 5.

But, you have to give Dallas a lot of credit for showing true grit and finding a way to win. Game 5 is going to be crazy.

As far has wanting D Wade and James over STAT and Melo…whatever man. Typical NY fans always looking to some other teams players and never satisfied with our own. Its always a “if we only had the star from team X then we could win a championship.” At this stage Knick basketball is controlled by CAA and Isiah Thomas which speaks volumes about the sheer stupidity of the Knicks owner who is easily swindled.

The Brooklyn Nets will reach the NBA Finals before the Knicks as long as Dolan is the owner. You can put that in the bank.

DALLAS (AP)—For the first time with the Miami Heat, LeBron James(notes) didn’t score in double figures. That ended a streak that had been going on for so much longer for the standout forward.
James scored only eight points in the Heat’s 86-83 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of the NBA finals Tuesday night, ending his streak of 433 consecutive games—regular season and playoffs included—of scoring in double figures. The last time he didn’t score at least 10 points was Jan. 5, 2007, when he had just eight points for Cleveland at Milwaukee.

I still think Lebron’s the best player in the NBA, but he’s got no heart.  He’s one of those guys who I just think has been told he’s the king since he’s young, and he actually believes it.  He’s got nothing to prove, and when adversity kicks in he shrinks from the moment.  As he showed with his decision, he’s perfectly happy not being the man.

Wade on the other hand always seems like he has something to prove.  That’s why he’s such a killer to me.  Super competitive.

On a side note, that exchange between Carlisle and the reporter was classic.
Reporter: Coach, you pulled out all the stops in this one.
Carlisle:  Well, the players go out and play the game
Reporter: No, but really, you coached a hell of a game.
Carlisle: Shrugs, who the heck is this guy?

I wish Jackson all kinds of good luck, but I’m sceptical that just because a color commentator can put out a smooth-line of motor-mouth shite doesn’t mean that he can break that knowledge down in steps, effectively impart it to players of varying B-Ball IQ, and get the players to accept it and implement it.

I also remember that Jacjson’s mouth and ego turned a lot of guys off in the Knicks locker-room. He may need some people-skills assistants to filter him from his players.

I always laughed when guys wanted to bring Jax and Oak back to the Knicks to turn the team around. Oak was never, to put it politely, a fan of Jackson, particularly because he felt that Jax treated a younger Rod Strickland like crap.

Either way, I happy that he finally got his prayer answered, but remember what Garth Brooks sang about unanswered prayers.

Meet Knicks draft prospect Nikola Vucevic
    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/knicks/post/_/id/5287/meet-knicks-draft-prospect-nikola-vucevic

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — If the Knicks make their first-round draft pick
based upon on genealogy and/or projected longevity, they may have found
    their man on Tuesday.
Center Nikola Vucevic of Southern Cal was in the
house, giving the Knicks a firsthand look at the player who measured
taller than any other player (6-foot-11 3/4) at the NBA pre-draft camp
    in Chicago — a 260-pound college junior who averaged a double-double
(17.1 points, 10.3 rebounds) last season in the Pac-10, the same league
the Knicks looked to in the second round a year ago when they plucked Landry Fields out of Stanford with the 39th pick.
Vucevic was born in Switzerland and raised in Belgium before he
moved to his father’s homeland, Montenegro, at age 13, before leaving
four years later to spend his senior year of high school in Simi Valley,
Calif. At USC, he played for former NBA head coach Kevin O’Neill and was teammates with DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors and Taj Gibson of the Chicago Bulls.
Vucevic’s father, Borislav, was a teammate of Drazen Petrovic on the 1985 Yugoslavian national team and spent 24 years — yes, 24, or three years more than Robert Parish’s NBA career — playing professionally in Europe.
And do you know how many games the elder Vucevic missed during those 24 years?
    Zero.
“He really took care of his body, but I don’t know how he did that,”
Vucevic told ESPNNewYork.com. “He ate healthy — I remember that,
because when you’re a kid you don’t like all those healthy foods, and me
and my sister complained about it. A lot of vegetables and different
stuff. He also rested a lot, iced his body, he did a lot of stretching
and paid attention to warming up. As he got older he learned a lot about
how to take care of his body.”
The elder Vucevic played until he was 44, and Vucevic’s mother, Ljiljana, played for the Sarajevo club Zeljeznicar as well as the Yugoslavian national team.
Vucevic was especially impressive in an earlier workout for the
Charlotte Bobcats, dunking the ball in rapid succession — using two
balls, dunking first with the left hand, then with the right — 100
consecutive times. Vucevic said he was disappointed with the way he shot
the ball in his workout for the Knicks, who are still deciding whether
they want to address their glaring need at center through the draft or
    through free agency.
Vucevic is ranked third among centers and is currently projected to be picked 25th overall by ESPN draft guru Chad Ford,
whose Mock Draft 4.0 will be published on Wednesday. (“He is rising,”
Ford told me in a text message.) Vucevic is also slated to hold workouts
for the 76ers and Nets, continuing a whirlwind tour in which scouts are
trying to establish exactly what differentiates Vucevic from Turkish
center Enes Kanter, who is projected as a top-5 pick.
(One difference is their vertical leaps, with Kanter’s at 28 inches and
    Vucevic’s at 25 inches).
Among Vucevic’s best skills are his inside-out game. Two of his more
eye-opening measurements were his wingspan (7-foot-4 1/2) and his body
fat percentage (6.1). The biggest knock against him is whether he has
the toughness to compete against NBA centers.
He said when he was a teenager he tried to pattern his game after legendary Yugoslavian small forward Dejan Bodiroga, and since coming to America four years ago he has tried to emulate Tim Duncan.
“Coming here and making the change from European-style to
American-style [basketball] helped me a lot and made me a lot better,”
Vucevic said. “I think if I was playing in Europe I never would have
achieved the level I achieved playing college basketball. It was good
for me because I kind of got a mix of both — so I leaned to play tough,
aggressive and hard all the time, play fast on defense, and I think if I
put together my skill level and my aggressiveness and build on them
each year, I could be pretty good.”

No one ever said it’s what he believes and everyone who’s Mormon believes it, it was just speculation based on history of the beliefs.

If I were to question, not accuse, question whether or not a devout Catholic coming out of college was prejudiced towards homosexuals, would I be out of line to simply speculate, given the fact that such prejudice is evident through certain followers?  No, because it’s informed speculation.  It doesn’t always have to be an accusation.

No one said he is a racist, just questioned to what extent he believes in certain aspects of Mormonism.  It was an out loud thought that could have been briefly debated and put to rest had you not brought it up consistently in multiple subsequent posts.  Lay it to rest man, get back to basketball.

We could have dealt Curry, no question. It really comes down to #3 imo. Why would the big three choose NY over Miami?

NY Advantages: better fan base, more endorsements, (slightly) more attention, could have put up HUGE numbers in D’Antoni’s system

MIA Advantages: beautiful weather and people, no income tax, a coach that stresses defense, a better FO, Wade already played/lived there

If we offered the big three exactly the same thing, would they have picked NY over Miami? I would say probably not, but I guess its impossible to say for sure. Also, like I said it would have been impossible to pull off without tampering. Riley had a big advantage cause Wade already played for the Heat, and he has no problems breaking rules.

LeBron knows NY would have given him the A-Rod treatment until he won a ring. Some people just aren’t built for NY. He took the easy way out going to Miami. He’ll never be MJ but I don’t blame him for the move.

I see a lot of eights…. But there is always a two or a three to the left of it!

80% of this country is Christian. No one would think of assuming them all to be homophobic, anti-woman, anti-minority, or anything else. And HaS wasn’t being “speculative” at all.

“If Jimmer is truly a Mormon…” – He is. Everyone knows he is. He is open about it.

“…wouldn’t that make him a racist?” – There is no speculation. It’s a statement of supposed fact. He is calling him a racist.

You give this HaS guy too much credit. Calling this simply stupid or misinformed is the best case scenario.

The funniest part is that he didn’t really look like him when he was younger and he’s looking less like him every day now. Why? Because Jim Carrey stopped aging and Carlisle didn’t. He was at peak Carrey-ness in Indiana but the hair loss and general aging has put him off a bit.

Conclusion: Jim Carrey is a vampire.

“According to a source, the Knicks are not expected to sign Jordan until after the lockout ends, figuring the new CBA will be more favorable to the team. But plans are in place for him to be in the rotation next season because of his low-post skill, size and ability to block shots — with Glen Grunwald likely still in place as interim president.”

Absolutely, I would buy into the second for him. That’s my favorite big of the draft.
