Worst Decade Ever

The following piece was submitted by loyal TKB contributor John Maloney. As always, we encourage all fans to put their thoughts together and send them to theknicksblog@gmail.com.
As we approach the end of the 2009, various news sites and blogs have been busy reviewing the decade, compiling lists and trying to make sense of all that [...]

Fans: What have you done for me lately?

Great piece today from Will Leitch in New York Magazine on the Knicks.
“…As President Obama could tell you, there comes a certain point in your administration when the predecessor’s mess becomes your mess.
When Donnie Walsh took over as the Knicks’ president eighteen months ago, his mission was clear: Clean up Isiah Thomas’s carnage. Thomas’s ineptitude [...]

Looking Back at the Trades

Got an interesting email from Mike from whatifsports.com, a site dedicated to going  above and beyond the game. Mike broke down the Knicks before and after the the Zach and Crawford trades and came up with some interesting info.
“…I wanted to evaluate the Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph trades. At the time I was disappointed [...]

Observations: Bosh and Z-Bo

Steve Adamek of the Bergan Record chats about the differences between the Raptors Chris Bosh and ex-Knick Zach Randolph among other observations from this season.
“…Some folks suggest that Chris Bosh is nothing more than another Zach Randolph. Please.
Bosh is the star of a team that’s been to the playoffs twice (although a huge disappointment this [...]

Where would the Knicks be with Z-Bo?

As the Clippers enter NY to face the Knicks tonight, there are a few familiar faces wearing Clipper red, white and blue.
One is an ex-Knick who despite being traded for one of the most popular men in team history, a player who personified the fans in many ways, became a fan favorite in his own [...]

Hearts out to Zach

I was looking at Zach Randolph’s stats (I am still a fan of him), and I stumbled across this bit of news on his ESPN profile page:
“Randolph’s father passed away on Thursday, the Los Angeles Times.”
Sorry to hear that.  Good luck out in L.A. . I am still rooting for you over here.

Walsh, D’Antoni will be on the same page with Curry

Update- Thanks to Gym Rat DanL for this nugget and the answer to the question of any possible contract renegotiation. A team that is over the cap CANNOT attempt such an act.
Mike D’Antoni wants Eddy Curry gone. Donnie Walsh is trying to accommodate. Seeing as how Walsh has shipped out less-than great players with bad [...]

Can’t Call A Tech there…

I miss the days when a star player could do and say whatever they wanted down the stretch to officials while the men in stripes just turned their backs and ignored it.
Reggie Miller used to fling profanities if he didn’t get a call late in games. Shaquille O’Neal looked as if he wanted to fling [...]

ClippersBlog Disses Z-Bo’s “D”

Funny observation from Kevin Arnovitz of Clippersblog. He notes the defensive prowess that Zach Randolph is famous for.
“…About five minutes into the game, there’s a sequence that’s the perfect three-second embodiment of Zach Randolph’s defensive career:

[1st, 7:13] Randolph guards Howard a couple of steps off the mid-left post.  He faces up on Zach, pounds a [...]

Let’s Get Physical

So a story that’s making waves is that Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins are not making their Clippers debut tonight because there’s an issue with their physicals.
So Randolph must have went on a weekend binge, right?
Ease off Knick skeptics, there must be a rational explanation, none more logical then the fact that the 3-hour LA [...]
